My husband and I go there a couple of times per month for breakfast. We love their food and just about everyone is super friendly. It’s definitely a small town place where everyone knows everyone else, but we really like that aspect. My husband almost always gets bacon and eggs with homefries and toast. I usually get an omlet with homefries, toast, and a side of gravy. In my opinion, this gravy is the tastiest and closest thing to homemade that has ever been served in a restaurant. Portions are huge and filling. The wait staff hustle and are personable. It is a little tricky to find the restaurant because it is on the outskirts of town, but it is so worth searching for. We love this place and will return again and again.

The service was just ok, nothing great. I had the the chicken fried steak and it was good. The portions were small, especially the hash browns. My eggs were over easy even tho I asked for over medium. I asked for a kid’s size oj for both of my kids and they brought them large adult ones. They have no kid’s menu, just a light menu.

Decently priced place that’s just a bit off the beaten track. It has a nice selection of breakfast options, including a small selection of Portuguese staples! The coffee was not very strong, but the refills came quickly. The wait staff was warm and welcoming, and made sure that we were well taken care of. Don’t expect a fine dining experience– this place has more of ‘down home’ feel to it with Nascar playing in the background. If you like that homey/country café feeling, this is the place for you!

Pretty good breakfast options and the chorizo is really good. Good food but they always have Fox news playing on the TV which is a drag.

You know service is good when, you get your coffee to creamer ratio just right, and then the waitress tops you off when you’re not looking. :) Very comfortable and enjoyable here.

Always a great find to find an excellent local restaurant! 5 star rating for local type restaurant. (If you’re using Google, type in the address. .if you follow their directions, it will take you to the owners house, which isn’t that far from the restaurant) You can tell this is definitely a local favorite. Food was good… almost like home cookin’. Biscuits and gravy were really tasty. .nice moist buscut and flavorful gravy. Coffee was ok.(but I’m used to REALLY high quality coffee) Eggs were cooked as ordered. Omlet was very nice… just enough cheese to make it gooey but not too much. Hash browns were ok… nothing special. Home fries were thick cut chips, a little greasy… but good. The waitstaff were charming… efficient and personable. All in all… this would be a place I would frequent if I were a local. Definitely worth giving a try!

First time experience today and I will say it won’t be my last. This AM after working a long 12hr shift i was in need(not really i wanted one though lol) of a delicious breakfast burrito and due to a life style change I needed it prepared with plenty of veggies packed with flavor no meat. The burrito came out very delicious made with fresh ingredients packed with flavor I had a few bites of the home fries and they were very flavorful as well. Customer service was great my family and I were greeted immediately and felt comfortable right away. We then sat where we pleased and the waitress was very attentive to our needs(my friends know I’m BIG on Customer service) and they provided that with excellence. Place was very clean and that is greatly appreciated as well. Definitely I would bring my family here for breakfast/brunch again.

Chicken fried steak with gravy and potato’s with onions and Bell peppers(50 cents extra and well worth it) was spectacular. Rye bread was delicious. Crunchy French toast was very good too with bacon that had a good smokey flavor. Coffee was very good. Service was very attentive. I will definitely be back.

First time to Salles and the Unilocal reviews brought me here. I had a side of toast and the smoky-est bacon I’ve ever had. It was just so delicious. The service was pretty slow… but in their defense they were packed and busy… so I can give ‘em a free pass. This place seems to be where the locals go to hang out, drink coffee, eat some good food and shoot the bull. I like to see that in any community… something that is totally lost in the big urban cities.

Whhhhat the ffffff, did I just walk into an off day? My food was reheated. Portuguese steak had all kinds of fat flopping around it making it difficult to pick through. Potato chip fries were more burned than anything. The toast that poor thing… a quarter of it was black, and there was no way I wanted to walk out with a glasgow. Damn I am picky. I would not suggest coming here when there are better big chain options: Dennys, Applebees, Chilis. Alcohol beverages: beer and wine limited to the stuff you don’t like. There is ample parking in the back lot. Easy to find once Siri can get her shit together(I’m from L. A). Lovely 60s feel.

Had my reservations about going here(no, they don’t take reservations) but it turned out to be a local working-guy kind of place, filled with nut-farmers and ranchers and the like. Eating partner said the biscuits and gravy were good, which is no small feat, seeing as how I make the best damn biscuits and gravy in the freaking world, and not too many places can even come close to measuring up. They have no idea how to make an omelette, however– just scrambled eggs in an omelette shape. Very decent coffee. If I were across the street picking nuts I’d eat here every day, at least for a while.

Solid old school breakfast. Crunchy French toast is regular French toast coated in crushed Frosted Flakes before cooking. Nice portions, reasonably priced, great service. Will be back.

First time here just a little drive from Visalia. Ordered the Corn beef hash, egg’s, and the home potatoes. The eggs cook perfect, the potatoes were great the Corn beef hash average. The service and employees were the best. Definitely coming back I’ll just try something else.

Excellent place for breakfast! Five stars are hard to come by for me but this place would be a four and a half if I could give it. We ordered quite a variety of food and it was all good. Very impressed with how they cooked the eggs. My daughter likes it over hard and I like it over easy and we both got what we wanted. The pancake was fluffy, light, and big! The bacon was crisp and thick. The corned beef hash was unfortunately out of a can but was still delicious. The home fries were fresh sliced potatoes and not from a bag. I like them griddles instead of fried but they were still good. The chorizo and eggs were spicy and yummy. And everyone was very nice. Overall a great breakfast brunch place!
