Had a REALLY super delicious carnitas burrito from here. Definitely worth the price and will most definitely return! Would have given it 5 stars and the ONLY thing I can contain about it the wait time but it was probably cooked to order. Awesome food!

Food is way too spicy and not fresh. The asada burritos use to be my favorite but now I taste stale meat from 5 days ago

When me and the family moved to tulare this was the best place for authentic mexican food. The cabeza tacos were awesome. Now, as of at least 4 months ago, this place took a turn for the worse. It began with their fountain drink dispenser going out. Then they stopped serving certain types of meats which included my favorite cabeza. Prices went up and food quality went down. The beans are very bland. Today I ordered a carnitas burrito. I took two bites and it went in the trash. The carnitas were bland and tasted as if they were boiled. The beans were nasty. I remember when we would come in and the owner would be here eating and BSing with the clients. Haven’t seen the lady in a long time and am wondering if they went through a change of owner or something. This will definitely be my last time coming here

At one time this was a satellite restaurant to the original Taqueria on Inyo St. which was so amazing that they had to get a second location, unfortunately after some time they sold to someone else and now the food seems to be completely downgraded! Food quality and service is no longer the same.

So disappointed with the food! Taco Tuesday for a 95 cent taco that is the size of my palm! Very mini tortillas. wtf? I was expecting like taco truck made! Save your dollar and go to taco bell! Chips and salsa were ok. they don’t give you enough salsa for all your chips, but it was good. The prices on the regular menu are way overpriced! 2 tortas for 10 dollars, with no rice and beans! What a rip off. Skip skip skip!

Customer service sucks. First of all I was waiting for like 5 minutes until someone noticed I was at the registers. Then when a lady wearing yellow and in a ponytail notices me. She just walks up and says nothing. ‘Hi can I take your order?’ Nothing. So I just ordered. Don’t even bother asking for extra sauce. Because they will roll their eyes as if it comes out of their paycheck. Horrible horrible customer service. I will not be returning.

Be prepared for absolutely shitty service. The young girls at the counter and somewhat nice, but very inefficient. The young guy that works the counter is literally the slowest person I’ve ever dealt with. Even after repeating my order 3 times it wasn’t correct and had to be remade. I have ordered at least 15 times from this location and 14 of them were bad customer service. These people just don’t listen to you when you speak. The only good thing about this location is the FOOD. It is always on point. That’s if you can get the counter people to order it correctly, I recommend bringing someone that speaks fluent Spanish if your going to frequent this location. I would recommend the INYO location if you want competent people ordering your food.

Skip this place and go to the original taqueria guadalajara. This place isn’t what it used to be. The workers here are rude. Seems they replaced the old friendly staff. And they take so long to give you your food. Skip it.

It’s Taco Tuesday and they’re out of carnitas and chicken? Its only 3 o’clock somebody needs to jump in a car and drive down the street and buy some meat! Totally unacceptable to run out of meat when you’re promoting a special.

The burrito I had was pretty tasteless and the service was even worse. There was no one in the place, but they couldn’t bother to even try. I can’t recommend at all.

This place isnt as good as it used to be, nothing ever seems fresh and the portions keep in getting smaller but the prices keep raising!!! Definitley a shame it used to be the best in my opinion.

Another great Unilocal find! Their tacos were simple, unpretentious, and made with fresh ingredients. Services were efficient and friendly, and we ate our tacos while watching an over-the-top Mexican talk show on TV. Last, not least, how can you beat the price — 5 tacos for less than $ 7.50?! This place makes me want to drive down Highway 99 again…

Decent food sometimes kinda hit and miss with this place sometimes the meat is so over cooked you can’t hardly chew it! And the sauce is very inconsistent it’s either so spicy you can’t enjoy the flavor or just BLAH the portions are huge for the price just wish the consistency was there

This place used to be sooo yummy! It’s gone WAY done hill! I ordered my food at 5:30pm tonight I went in at 5:50pm to pick up my food stood in line for 20mins(only one person handling front counter and phone orders) finally got up to pay and was told my food would be ready shortly. I finally walked out of there at 5:25pm. I got home viewed my food and realized I was given teeny tiny baby tacos like bite size. I guess they make them smaller on Tuesdays since they have a promo for taco Tuesdays and thy sell for .95 cents. Those tiny tacos weren’t worth .50cents! I had also ordered carne Asada nachos I received stale, hard chips and I had requested no onions but of course I had several onions. Worst service ever, worst food ever! This place used to be sooo good! Sad it no longer is. It must not have the same owners as it did in 2012??? Not sure! I WILLNEVERGOBACK!!!

Not so good. The carne asada meat was very fatty, I know a little fat is good and gives the meat more flavor but this was just like chunks of fat on eat piece of meat. The beans and rice were okay but nothing special. The salsa and chips were nasty I couldn’t even swallow it. Seriously how can you mess that up! We threw most of our food away because it was gross. Definitely will not be coming back.

We were headed down the HWY99 and happened into this place kind of by accident. Our intention was to eat at a place called Sal’s in a neighboring city to the north, but once we saw the big highway sign with Sal’s big smiling face, we elected to keep driving. The next town on the map was Tulare and we Unilocaled™ for some tacos. This is the place we chose. I had a 5 taco plate which consisted of one adobada, two cabezas, one buche, and one lengua. This would be my first time trying buche(stomach) and found it to be quite appealing. Now, on its own, sans the tortilla and fixings it may not stand up, but in this case, the seasoning and the grilling made it really enjoyable. The lengua meat(tongue) was done to perfection, with a bit of cabbage and topped with a green salsa. While I found the cabeza tacos certainly worthy, they were a touch dry, and not as oily or singed as I normally prefer. Some may argue that the oiliness or lack thereof may be beneficial, or healthier, but I’ve never really experienced the meat like that before and prefer the latter. Finally, the adobada which I don’t often order because it usually poorly or cheaply prepared, was simply outstanding. My friend called it the best taco he’s ever had(adobada). It came with their house red hot sauce which was spicy(5 out of 10). The meat was seasoned wonderfully and charred just like an al pastor taco. Very very good. The only downside to the food was the unusually judicial dispensing of their hot sauce. While alot of the tacos seem to come with a tablespoon or so of salsa on them, I prefer to wash the last bites of my tacos with hot sauce. When I asked for some extra sauce, we received three very very small plastic cups of the stuff. I don’t doubt that they would have given me more, but if they didn’t offer me «plenty» to start with, I get the feeling they’d rather have you use the table top crap that I assiduously avoid. The service was extremely friendly and English is spoken. I even asked about a meat called«Cueritos»(skin in vinegar) and she brought out a sample for me to try(more on that another time). The place was very clean, including what i could see in the kitchen. You can’t miss the place as it is just a mile or two down the main drag and is painted in bold white letters across the red colored top of the restaurant. Interestingly there is a another Mexican«seafood» place 30′ away. All prettied up with landscaping and all. Overall 4.5 stars in my big picture, but 5 stars for being outside of southern California. My only gripe was the seemingly lack of «all i can eat» hot sauce. Defiantly a must stop while on the road via route 99.

I’ve eaten at a few places named Taqueria Guadalajara, and this is by far the worst. First of all, no salsa bar(something that has become a standard in Mexican taqueria type places), then I ask for guacamole in my burrito and I get looked at like I’m stupid, and then told they don’t have guacamole or avocado. Finally, I order two burritos, which they have a special on Wednesday — 2 for $ 10, and I get charged full price… The burritos were decent at best, I’ve definitely had better. The carne asada was better than the carnitas(which was the clear worst item on the table). If you’re considering coming here, you’re probably on a long drive back home from somewhere like LA or wherever, and very hungry(as I was). My advice is that you drive a little further or choose another of the few little restaurants on this street, this place isn’t worth your time or money.
