Very happy with the food. Sat at the bar and the bartender was great. A definite come back spot if every in Tulsa again.

This place has some of the best BBQ I’ve had at a restaurant. The service was beyond what you’d expect and Randa(our waitress) was so honest and sweet. I can’t wait to come back for more!

The appetizer of fries/brisket/gravy was delicious, but adding the sielde of queso really put it over the top! There is also a pickle bar, a huge weakness of mine. The meat here is all deliciously smoked and the sauce wonderfully sweet. The baked beans were a little bland, but hey not everything can be perfect. The fried okra was expertly crisp and the mac n cheese was on point. This place is definitely on our list next time we are back in Tulsa!

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere and staff was very accommodating. I had the brisket, which was a little bit dry, but the overall quality and taste was exceptional. The fries were delicious, and the spices included really hit the spot. Thank you for a great experience! Will DEFINITELY be back!

When you want BBQ this is the place to go. It is my second favorite place in downtown Tulsa. I always get the ribs and fried okra! So full of flavor. The friendly service keeps me coming back for more! The self service station is a nice touch to this place!

Driving in downtown Tulsa on business and see a BBQ storefront. Turns out it’s packed and rocking inside for lunch. Tried the brisket dinner with Cole slaw and beans for sides. Brisket was tender and sides were solid. Cool vibe and Friendly service. Will return next time in town.

I was born and raised in Tulsa and haven’t really had a chance to explore the newer restaurants in the area since I’ve moved to Texas. I’m a sucker for good BBQ and glad I had a chance to eat here with my mother and grandmother. What I ordered as an entrée is kind of boring– Smoked turkey with a side salad, and steamed broccoli. The turkey was super tender and full of sensational smokey flavor. They also add smoked bacon to their house salads which is pretty freaking awesome as well. I had to use some real restraint to keep myself from ordering the BBQ nachos as an appetizer-even though they were CALLINGMYNAME! Why did I put myself through this torture of ordering broccoli at a BBQ joint and not getting the nachos? Well… swim suit goals! HOWEVER I couldn’t bring myself to resist the chocolate-bourbon– pecan pie. I mean… I’m only human. The pie was absolutely delicious! I shared it with my mom and grandma and they both really enjoyed it too! I really love the feel of the eatery and can’t wait to go back to explore their menu further!!!

Albert G’s is a good place to gather and have a good dinner with family. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich and a rib with a side of potato salad. I also enjoyed the house made chips and ranch dressing dip. The servers and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We started with some house made chips that were crispy and potatoey. I found the chopped brisket to be mild and juicy but light on smoked flavor. The rib was a little dry but exhibited a certain mild smoky taste. I wouldn’t consider their Bar-B-Que to be award winning but it does have a mild inoffensive flavor. The potato salad was very sweet version with good texture and small chunks of potato. I was pleased with it. Overall I would Albert G’s is worth the trip but don’t expect award winning Que.

Albert G’s was a mix of really good, ok and not so good. The good first, the ribs were the best St. Louis style ribs I have ever had. They were full of bold smokey flavor, juicy, and tender. The amount of lean meat was also incredible for them being spare ribs. The cole slaw was crunchy with just the right amount of mayo. To often the cabbage is drowned in mayo, this was not the case here. The beans have an extremely sweet sauce, not my favorite, but not bad if you like that kind of bean. The biggest disappointment was the sliced brisket. The brisket was very dry and tough. It was missing the same flavor that was so intoxicating on the ribs. I had to saw through the meat, not what I expect out of brisket that has been smoked for hours and hours. To sum it up, order the ribs and enjoy and avoid the brisket.

I’ve been here a few times and am pretty satisfied. I like the new Downtown location. So much more roomier than the Harvard one. Food is good. Not exceptional but good. The smoked turkey and pulled pork are probably my favorites. Friendly staff and good environment.

I have come here a couple of times for company lunches and have never been really impressed. I thought maybe it was what I was ordering so this last time I ordered something completely different. It was not better. It wasn’t terrible or anything but was simply just not good like everyone was making it sound like it would be. This last time I ordered turkey with a salad and broccoli. The broccoli was probably the worst I have ever had and the stalks and florets looked like they had been soaked in butter or boiled in it. The turkey was ok, but nothing to rave about at all. The previous time I was in I ordered some brisket and sausages. These meats were ok, when I ordered the beans the waitress said they were terrible and should get something else. Everyone else was getting the okra so I tried that. It was not very flavorful and the breading seemed like it came out of bag and was just tossed in a deep fryer.

Bland. Underwhelming. Decent I guess. I got a two meat dinner with sliced brisket(tender but no flavor) and Kielbasa sausage. The sauce is good; somewhat sweet and mild.

The BBQ at Albert G’s was okay. We got the 3 meat combo meal with ribs, turkey, and brisket. My favorite was the smoked turkey because it was flavorful and moist. The ribs were definitely better than the brisket, but still lacked that bbq flavor I was looking for. The BBQ sauce enhanced the flavor of the turkey well, but not with the other meats. I was hoping for the spicy bbq sauce to give my meat a little kick, but it was weak sauce! Haha We also ordered the BLT sandwich. I’m not complaining in a bad way, but there was too much bacon to bite into the sandwich cleanly. I took some out to enjoy later :) The sides we got were broccoli, sweet potato waffle fries, and chips. I’d definitely come back for the smoked turkey and sides — especially the sweet potato waffle fries! Service was friendly and quick. It’s a great place for large parties as they have plenty of seating and a bar area in the middle.

We love Albert G’s. The downtown location has such a great feel to it. it’s a different feel from their Harvard location– we love that too– that location used to be a service Station. The downtown location’s bar is like a sports bar/lots of tvs. Today I had their Moscow mule– it’s one of the best I’ve had anywhere! They use a really good ginger beer called«Q». I think the bartender said they have over 70 kinds of bourbon, for those who like bourbon. We had their chicken wings-really great light smoky taste, then we had ribs– unbelievably good, hot links and a side of tabouli and chips. the chips are hand cut– so good! their tabouli is one of my favorites. the owner of Albert G’a is Lebanese and the tabouli is his mother’s recipe. I highly recommend Albert G’s. The food is excellent and love the atmosphere. It’s a great place to hang out with friends.

BBQ ~ Sports Bar Fusion, Heavenly Brisket in the Blue Dome A BBQ recommendation for business lunch. Yes, let’s go. On first glance, Albert G’s appears to be a welcoming and spacious sports bar in a carefully restored warehouse building(note the ceiling and sky light windows, really look up). The gracious Victoria greeted us with a sincere smile(like she enjoys her life and her job) and patiently answered our questions. Then our food arrived. WOW, impressively perfect sliced brisket. The cole slaw was even great(not swimming in the usual soupy slaw slush). The friend who recommended comes often and raved about his pulled pork. Our companion loved his rack of ribs(he’s from Arkansas and claims he’s an expert). Sauce was everywhere so I handed him the paper towel dispenser. Albert clearly knows how to rub and smoke the meat, manage people and create a setting to enjoy an excellent meal and/or drinks with friends. This would be a fun place to watch a game, too. I’ll wager it’s crowded and for all the right reasons.

I never thought in a million years that I would have brunch at a BBQ restaurant! Their menu makes it hard to decide but I went with the Pulled Pork & Corn Cakes(this time). Perfect combo of sweet & savory. Their maple bacon syrup is pretty tasty. With pulled pork being on top, I even tried their BBQ sauces on some of the pieces & it was even better! Their potatoes were good too, well seasoned. Their Carolina sauce goes well with it. Also, the fruit helped out the balance. I WILL be coming back for the Meat Lovers Omelette. Bacon, brisket, pulled pork, cheese & sweet BBQ sauce!

I had NO idea this restaurant was in downtown Tulsa. Thanks to Unilocal,I randomly found this place. First thought upon walking in was how big and open the space was(the ceilings were surprisingly high for a restaurant downtown, I thought). It was also really country, yet modern at the same time? Can’t quite describe it. We were sat in the bar area and Shannon did a really good job of checking in on us. Everyone was really nice, actually. A manager, I’m guessing, walked around and checked on everyone and when we were walking out with our multiple to-go boxes, a waiter stopped and asked us if we wanted a bag. Anyways, I got the Tulsa style ribs with a side of coleslaw and mac and cheese. Everything was good, but nothing really, REALLY special. I couldn’t tell how the«Tulsa style» ribs were different from St. Louis ribs. We also got their biscuits and brisket gravy from the brunch menu. They were okay — would’ve been perfect with more seasoning. One plus here = PICKLEBAR.

This place has a lot to offer just about any one. I came here with a few buds for some food and drink before heading out for awhile. The number one thing for me here is WHISKEY. Yes, that is right. It surprised me too. This place has bourbon flights, their own barrels they age whiskeys in and an array of cocktails of their own. Needless to say, this girl was in heaven. The fact that this can be paired with fantastic BBQ, I don’t think I could ask for much more. Along with the great meats, they’ve got great sides as well. I loved their sweet potato fries(they’re waffle style!) And my friends enjoyed their fried okra! Don’t miss out on this place, they’ve got sandwiches, BBQ that will melt in your mouth, a variety of sauces, beers, cocktails and obviously if you haven’t gathered yet, Whiskey!

For our fifth meal in Tulsa, we finally got around to having Oklahoma barbecue. We went to Albert G’s based on a recommendation of a local person. We were there on a Saturday night and were surprised by how not busy they were. I personally like Texas barbecue and am familiar with Kansas City style so was curious to see how Oklahoma does it since we are kind of in between those two. We chose to go on Saturday night so that Ms T could have their Smoked Chicken. The chicken was well smoked, properly done with a nice rub and although it was not brined, it was also not dried out. I thought with some light salt through the meat it would have been stunning. Never-the-less, it was very good. Her fried okra was from frozen pre-breaded and was just OK. The slaw was a medium chop, made well in advance and was decidedly soggy/wilted. This is uninspired slaw; very sweet and bland. I added salt and wished for vinegar. I ordered chopped brisket worrying about the risk of sliced being dry. It had good beef flavor and reasonable smoke. It was served with a little sauce and would make a good chopped beef sandwich, but I just can’t call it great barbecue. The ribs were good with light smoke. They were very tender, not dry, but not fresh out of a smoker. I would call them more grilled in flavor. Ms T actually liked them better than her chicken. My hot link was OK, it was sliced and sauced(don’t do that, please). I found the sausage to have a hint of Pine Sol. I have experienced this before and don’t know what causes it. I also had their beans. These were apparently house cooked white beans something like Great Northerns. I say apparently house cooked because they were underdone. They were sweet and tangy with some cinnamon. They definitely needed salt. They were interesting and kind of unique. Albert’s was OK but kind of steered us away from barbecue for the rest of the trip. I don’t mean to make it sound bad. Nothing was incredible and nothing was awful. Sides were average or below and our food was delivered just above room temperature so it quickly equilibrated to being fairly cold. The sauce is a local style I think and I would describe it as French or Russian salad dressing. Portions were large and the value was very good. It just fell a little short and I can’t round it up to 4 stars.
