I was here on Thursday, had the falafel sandwich. I felt like it was more authentic was than others. It had pickled vegetables inside, which I liked… although I would get an extra side of tahini to go along with the sandwich. The owner is Lebonese and Pita bread is sourced from Michigan where the owner says there is a large Lebonese community, so authentic, not your usual. I’m already back on Saturday to try the chicken shawarma, so I will update this review. The Mediterranean food here is gaining popularity, and the owner is in the process of making more of this type of food available. Awesome! I will be back!

I had the popcorn chicken which consisted of several chicken nugget sized white meat chunks of breaded and fried chicken and three potato wedges. The texture of the chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I can’t fault them for cooking methods as the chicken was well cooked. The flavor was a disappointment though, what had the potential to be great was just so-so. Just can’t say much about the chicken flavor as it didn’t really have much. This could be improved with some herbs and spices added to the breading and perhaps even some dipping sauce. The potato wedges had a nice golden brown crisp crust, but we’re even less flavorful than the chicken. Even with ketchup the wedges were unremarkable at best. The bathroom was quite hygienic. The floors in the seating area were somewhat sticky. I don’t know how long this place has been opened, but they may not have found their stride just yet. Room for improvement.

I know they are«Broaster Chicken» — but here’s an extra ‘secret’ for ya’: They have Great Authentic mediterranean food as well! The falafel sandwiches have just the right seasonings. The tabouli has lots of parsley — not just wheat bulger. Very delicious. I haven’t tried the hummous, yet, but will soon. It is available. I’ve had the broaster boneless chicken and it is very moist and flavorful. But, the Falafel is my favorite! My friends all talk about how good the gizzards are. … that’s not something I go for, but apparently they all love it.

First off this place isn’t at 902 S Sheridan. The actual address is 3140 E 11th St right across from TU. The chicken wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t really good either. When I get chicken I expect it to have some kind of flavor, even KFC does that. This chicken was cooked just right and was juicy, it just had no flavor. No saltiness or any kind of spice or other flavorings. They sell a lot besides chicken there and I will come back to try the kebobs and shawarma.
