This was just about the worst airline food experience I’ve ever had. The sandwich maker made it seem like a huge inconvenience to her when I ordered a grilled panini. She just kept complaining about how long it would take & I was the only customer ordering anything. The cashier didn’t know the soups till she practically stuck her head into them & she knew nothing about how to enter items into the register. All 3 workers were laughing about the cashier pulling the«closed rope» across the place 4 hours before they were going to close. Food all over the prep floor. Disgraceful.

Because check in at TUL is the most speedy experience in all of airport travel, I was through security with about 2 hours to wait for my flight to ATL. Since I had passed on the hotel breakfast, my tummy was getting a bit rumbly. When departing from the A concourse, you pass through Security and take a right turn down the long hallway. As you are walking down this hallway, the first sign that you will see is for T.G.I.Friday. The best advice I can give you is, at this point, don’t slow your pace one bit nor look left or right. Continue to walk purposefully down the hallway and take a left turn. Midway down that hallway, you will see Camille’s Sidewalk Café on the left. The menu here is wide ranging unless you are looking for Copious Amount of Cow. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, some breakfast stuff, as well as some sweet treats and pastries. I chose the Turkey Habanero Panini with Chips and Salsa. Because everything is made fresh, it did take a few minutes for my order to come up, but it was by no means because the service was slack. Quite the contrary, the service here is exquisite, the person that took my order and payment was helpful and friendly!(This is becoming a recurring theme in Oklahoma it seems. Maybe something in the water here?). When it came up, my panini was fresh and tasty with just the right amount of sizzle to it. The bread was fresh and chewy and the chips and salsa were the perfect companion. The portion was also exactly perfect, enough to fill me up without making me feel like I needed a nap. If you have some time to kill while in TUL(and you probably will because you can go from curbside to departure gate in about 10 minutes), avoid the Bling and go to Camille’s, you will be glad that you did.

If you’re looking for a good food spot in the Tulsa airport, this is definitely the place to check out. They have a wide variety of wraps for breakfast as well as lunch and vegetarian options too! The prices are very reasonable for an airport food spot! Definitely a good choice if you’re looking for filling fresh food in TUL!
