Captain D’s

Service is top notch. Tiffany always smiles no matter what. New dishes make portions seem smaller. Not sure they are. Food is great and always fresh.

I have to rate Captain D on a sliding scale. OK, I love fish but we all know the captain is kinda like a donut with a piece of fish hidden inside a batter that has been deep fried.
The food quality can vary and IMHO this location tries hard but it seems they offer more batter and less fish. I recently dinned on a Sunday afternoon, fresh from a great experience in Columbus Ga. I order a three piece and found a table in the crowded dinning room.
When served I began to plow through the batter in search of fish, the pile of batter stood like a mountain.
A hostess was buzzing around the dining room chatting with the customers and doing a good job with kind words and refills on tea and napkins. She came over to my table and said: «hello Sweetie, can I help you with anything?»
I pointed to a mountain of batter and said; «help me find some fish»…She quickly and kindly offered me another piece and my mountain kept growing and I got going, feeling kinda full, foolish and greasy with a Captain Ahab scowl and still searching for the Great White Whale or atleast a nice piece of white fish. Perhaps not everywhere but at this location:
