This is the greatest concept ever… a coffee bar. Coffee by day bar by night. The barista/bartender made the best coffee I ever had. I wish we could have stayed longer. I will be back to this location.

Always great service, drinks and food(from The Parish just outside)! Love the patio when it is nice out and the ambiance inside is perfect for anything you are looking for(a cocktail by yourself or a group of friends getting together downtown). Can’t say enough good things about this place!

$ 3.50 for a drip coffee and no refill. The explanation was«because each cup is brewed by hand». Then I watch the barista pour my cup from the drip spout. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. The service was polite. The pricing was not logical. Hodges bend serves Topecca coffee. I can get a 16oz drip at Topecca for much less.

I spent several hours here catching up with a classmate from high school I hadn’t seen in 19 years. Hodges Bend made what could have been an awkward encounter for someone who can sometimes be socially inept much easier. I had a difficult time deciding on something off the menu(not because there wasn’t anything I would drink, but I was just being indecisive), and the bartender immediately asked me what spirits I liked, sweet/sour, etc and made me something not on the menu. For the second round I had him do the same. He ended up serving me a Greenpoint, which was actually invented by my bartender friend in New York. I must confess it made me slightly giddy, and I wanted to text him that he was famous, or at least his drink was. We ordered several food items, but I was too busy talking to enjoy most of them. Their cheeseboard did have some great selections though. Staff was super friendly-even looked up some live music for us to attend while we in town.

If Valkyrie wasn’t around, this would be the best lounge in Tulsa. Although it did not pass my arbitrary test by which I judge cocktail-mongers(make a good Penicillin), however I have had some truly first class drinks here. For example the Bloody Plowman, which any whiskey-minded person in the area should try post haste. PS, I hear it’s not a bad spot for work(they are open at 7, and serve coffee), and I will redo this review once I’ve tested that rumor out.

I went in for a light bite to eat, the service was good. I noticed that if you come right at five the bartenders are not that busy however the later it gets it tends to be very busy, however they try their best to accommodate everyone sitting at the bar. I had the cheese and meat plate it was excellent! The only bad part was the music because it was so loud it made my ears hurt which took away my full experience of really enjoying my time there. I would recommend that the bartenders or whoever manages the volume of the music because it’s very distracting and takes away from truly hearing what your friends and or coworkers are trying to say.

Hodges Bend is one of the fanciest hangout spots in Tulsa. From morning coffee to drinks at night, it could rightly be called the East Village version of Chimera, but without food and a level up in class. When I’m in Tulsa this is my standard Saturday morning work spot. Environment is a perfect balance between chill and fancy. The seats in the back are quiet enough to make an isolated work environment(my default choice), but there’s also always a group of cool people chatting in the front and around the bar. Pick your vibe and hang. I still haven’t managed to come here at night because East Village is generally pretty far out of my way, but Hodges is a great example of fantastic, trendy businesses that are bringing more attention to this corner of downtown.

I’ve always had a good time when at Hodges Bend. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I was taking my holiday card their and the mixologist went the extra mile to make me a holiday drink to use at no cost!

I have only been here a few times, but this last time I was not impressed. I had the Moscow Muller and a sausage roll, both were delicious, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was the bartenders. There were three last night, two men and a lady. The men were incredibly rude to the group I was with. We asked for the sausage roll and he got one and then never brought it back to us. It was just unfortunate. It could have been a rough night for the two men, but that’s no excuse. I’ve only heard great things about this place and I do enjoy the atmosphere, but for me the reason I like to go back to bars is the interaction with the bartenders. Like me review said it was just ok.

Hodges is such a fun spot. Several of my friends go on the weekends for night caps and just to have a great time! I have had the coffee once and it was okay. The drinks are where its at not to mention the ambiane is freaking awesome. Low lights, close tables the works. The bartenders are dress to impress and it stays packed in there. Go and check it out. You will like it I am sure!

Coffe and booze? Sign me up! Hodges is a very classy and relaxed spot for any time of day. If you are looking for a morning cup of coffee, Hodges is less busy and annoying than a regular coffee shop. Looking for a place to grab a boozey drink where you will actually be able to hear your friends talking? This is your place! It is kind of 1920’s-y inside, which I totally dig. They also now have a food truck out to the side of the bar that serves food at all times of the day. I got the breakfast poutine around brunch time and it was to die for!!!

Well crap… I’ve got a new favorite coffee shop in Tulsa. I’d heard rave reviews from friends, but you know… Once you got your favorites it’s hard to try somewhere new. I’m glad I did. I love the coffee shop bar mix. The staff was über friendly and no complaints on the drinks.

Food: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 5⁄5 The coolest bar in Tulsa, and by far the best Irish Coffee I have ever had in my life! In fact, probably one of the coolest bars/café’s i’ve been to in my life! They have a great, and huge selection of cocktails(both classic and signatures), and different types of teas and coffees. This is the type of place you go in and sit for hours. They have domino’s and game-boards as well. I would call the décor«Modern Saloon» style. Good ambience and great staff and service.

Hodge’s Bend is one of those places in Tulsa that I like to show off to my out of to town friends. let’s face it, Hodge’s Bend just exhibits coolness. it has a dual personality. coffee shop during the day and a bar at night. pretty sure that it was the first place in Tulsa to have coffee & alcohol.(Tulsa was maybe a little late on that train, but we have options now– woo woo!) the interior is straight up awesome– trendy, high class vintage feel with chandeliers & leather booths. the drink selection is plentiful and the coffee is Topeca. Tulsa’s very own roastery. they serve tasty baked goods & now even have a food truck that from what I understand is outside most nights.(I haven’t tried it yet but I hear it has tasty, eclectic menu options.) I really enjoy the East Village area of town, even though it is quite limited. but if you’re thinking about coming here, you should try out East Village Bohemian Pizzeria for din before drinks. it’s a win as well.

Besides all the man buns on the wait staff, this place is pretty awesome. I came here for a late night drink with a couple friends in town and was impressed with the ambiance and drinks. It’s kind of a laid-back 1920s-ish/hipster/retro bar. You seat yourself and for the warm summer nights, they have a small patio on the side. It was freezing inside so we took advantage of the patio seating. For my cocktail I tried the««, it was sweet, tart, and had an espresso finish. It doesn’t sound good but it was unique, complex, and just what I needed. They also have a cigar menu you could partake in which is pretty unique in my bar experiences. During the day this place is a coffee shop. They do a really good job at balancing the ambiance of a cool coffee shop and bar. I would frequent this place if I lived in T-town.

Hodges Bend is such a fun place! I have been twice for after dinner cocktails. Turns out they have a food truck too named The Parish(not sure if this is every night or just weekends) so we need to go for dinner sometime! Also, I know they have special events such as wine tastings etc. So the first time I went I was with my husband and another couple, then we ran into friends and they joined us. We sat inside. It became very lively in there! Lots of people, very fun atmosphere. Their cocktails are amazing. I think they make everything from scratch. They take great care with every item. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and eager to please. The 2nd time we went we sat outside. That was fun too on a summer evening! We have had the moscow muller, tobacco old fashioned, and the marina among other items. My friend wanted something with pineapple and rum so I think they made something up just for her! We split a tres leches cake for dessert on my birthday, it was delicious. Hodges Bend is also known for their wine and coffee too(they also own Topeca Coffee so they sure know coffee!). They also have a couple of yummy sounding punches to share for 2 – 6 people. We didn’t try them but maybe next time around! This is one of our new favorite downtown spots. The area is really growing around them. Loving that downtown Tulsa has such great options now.

This place is excellent! I had some work to do and was sick of being cooped up in my office, so I sat at the bar and used the wifi and finished paperwork. Two gents next to me were doing the same. The staff is very friendly and nice lady behind the bar made me a delicious specialty latte. Will return, perhaps for a cocktail next time.

A Tulsa favorite. Irish coffee perfection! Also, one of the best old fashioned cocktails in town. I love hitting this spot in the late afternoon and staying for the food truck /kitchen to open at about 4pm. They are open for coffee in the AM, drinks all day and food at night. All bartenders and baristas are very talented.
