If you’re going to have steak, you MUST try this place. The service is impeccable and the flavor of the steaks are excellent. I’ve always had a wonderful experience. I’ve only had to send the steak back one time, due to it being over-cooked. The management is professional and atmosphere is fantastic.

Best filet I have ever had! I have eaten at a lot of places across the U.S. but Mahogany is my favorite. Lobster cargo is to die for.

We’ve eaten steak all over the world and this is certainly in the top three of our list. I can’t really put my finger on it other than it’s great food, great service, and pleasant atmosphere. What more can you ask for. It’s probably more of a special occasion restaurant but if I lived there I would try to come up with special occassions to allow visiting often.

I went here years ago and it was OK I thought. However, I went again not long ago and it was phenominal! The steak and seafood were wonderful. The appetizers. The waiters knowledge of wine pairings. Memorable. Definitely recommended

Get the trout dip for an appetizer. Won’t regret it. Then get the Oscar on your steak. It’s asparagus and crab and hollandaise I think. Smooth like a Marvin Gaye concert on your taste buds.

Mahogany was a great place to celebrate my birthday. The ambiance, the staff, and the food all receive five stars in my opinion. Our waiters– yes plural– made sure our drinks were never empty and seemed to always know when they were needed. Your food will arrive hot, your napkin will be folded in your absence, your cutlery will be changed between courses, you will receive professional service. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or for celebrating a special occasion. With linen table clothes and napkins, candlelight and quiet music playing in the background, this is not a place for sweats or your khaki shorts– both I witnessed– so please be polite and adhere to the non-enforced dress code. Their use of primo ingredients/meats and their culinary expertise were made very clear with each and every bite I took. I had the filet mignon with a side of their chive whipped potatoes(sides are served à la carte). The steak was mouth-watering and the potatoes went great with it. For dessert, we– and by that I mean mostly I– chose a carrot cake. Since it was my birthday, they brought it out with a lit candle. The dessert was every bit as good as the entrée. I am very impressed with this restaurant and it will definitely remain on my radar when I visit Tulsa in the future.

I had the salmon. It was okay. It wasn’t outstanding. For the price and the number of average stars, I expected more. But then again, it’s a steakhouse and I ordered salmon. Maybe that’s what my problem was. The salmon was drenched in a buttery/creamy sauce. I typically like my salmon plain because I just like the taste of fish, period. I did enjoy the bar nuts at the bar before we ate dinner. The service was great. But typically the service isn’t what gets me in the door.

When we first walked in this place was very appealing and the wait staff was great. I ordered a martini and it was overly strong. The bread is nothing fantastic, the filet was the best steak I’ve ever eaten and the Mac and cheese was delicious. The«something chocolate» desert was fantastic! I highly recommend the steaks!

My husband and I ate here for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t disappoint. Usually my husband and I celebrate our milestones and holidays at Flemings. It has changed a bit the last couple of years. The restaurant was busy but in all fairness it was Friday night. The staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. I ordered the porterhouse and my husband ordered the prime ribeye. Fortunately he helps me eat my steak which is why I order a larger steak. We got a Caesar salad mashed potatoes and corn. We shared all sides because they are so large. We even took some home. The food was outstanding and my husband and I will go back for sure. I got crème brûlée for desert and my husband got carrot cake. Both deserts were great but very rich.

With Valentines Day the 14th and my Girlfriend’s Birthday the 15th, I wanted to take her somewhere a little extra nice. I had heard so many good things about Mahogany that I decided this would be it. I made reservations several days in advance for last night and surprised her. The tables are set with tablecloths and candles. We had two servers(one might have been in training) and another person who just made sure our drinks never emptied. As an appetizer you are served large Sourdough Rolls that were soft and warm and served with very smooth butter. We were offered a Valentines Day Weekend Special Trio consisting of Alaskan King Crab Legs, Coldwater Lobster Tail, and a 14 oz ‘bone-in’ Filet Mignon that the restaurant is known for. These items were split onto two plates for $ 159.99. Sides are served À la carte, and we chose the Chived Whipped Potatoes. Everything was amazing. Both steaks were ordered medium and were cooked to perfection. My steak was so tender I could cut into it with just my fork. The Alaskan King Crab was shelled for us and served with generous portions on both plates. It seemed very fresh and was the highlight of the meal. The Coldwater Lobster tail was a little different than typical lobster tails and was very interesting. It has a sweeter flavor and much meatier tail. The Chive Whipped Potatoes were very good but after seeing others order the Macaroni and Cheese, we felt like we had made the wrong choice. We had to have dessert since we were celebrating my Girlfriend’s Birthday. We decided to go with the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée. It was fantastic! The custard was very creamy with a strong vanilla flavor. The sugar on top was caramelized to give it a nice crunch. It was served with assorted berries that were marinated in something that added a lot of flavor. In my reservation I was asked what we were celebrating and told them it was my Girlfriend’s Birthday. When we were seated at the table there was a card from the restaurant to her which was very nice and unexpected. Also, when they served our Crème Brûlée, they had put a candle in it for her to blow out. I never made mention of it being her birthday other than in my reservation and they took care of the rest. Mahogany is an amazing restaurant if you are wanting to celebrate and really go all out. It is very much on the expensive end though. In fact, our dinner ended up costing more than my car payment, which I can’t help but laugh at a little.

My wife’s birthday, yearly steak dinner, every year sense they opened. This has been and continues to be consistently the best ultra high temperature seared steak we have ever discovered.(on par or above San Diego, Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, London etc.) Always excellent food, service and atmosphere, always prompt and friendly. The sides and sourdough roll are some of the best around, the lobster bisque is almost too rich(as if that could be possible). Warning: this level of service and quality of food rises to the level of addiction, but remember you get what you pay for, the five stars come at a price(fair but substantial).

Please please please take my review with a grain of salt. There was nothing wrong with the food, there was nothing wrong with the service. This is more of a personal preference thing. The price seemed a little, or a lot bit high, but I guess one could argue you get what you pay for. In this case you get a good steak but it seems like each table has an army of people waiting to clean the smallest of crumbs or top off your water if you take a sip. It was a bit overkill for me. The place was as dark as a night club but there was no dancing. The selection at the bar was very good and the drink before dinner was nice in the more boisterous bar setting than what awaited us at the table. I wasn’t quite sure what to think. I would go back for the food as it was outstanding, but I would probably not choose to go here on my own.

Having grown up in Tulsa, I was excited to take my girlfriend to Kodiak grille while we were here on vacation. Sadly, as we learned, Kodiak closed a few years ago, leaving a Twin Peaks where they once were. As quality steak was what we were craving, we turned to Unilocal and found Mahogany… DELICIOUS. The filets were excellent and the fish cooked perfectly. Highly recommended. Reservations are worth it though; having not had one we were seated at the bar, which wasn’t a problem, but, is a consideration. Décor was tasteful, as was the lighting. Bathrooms were clean, with linen hand towels; nice touch! Drinks were tasteful, and well suiting. Servers were personable, and on point with the patrons needs. Sides were well portioned while being shareable; nice! And as little as it may seem; the steak knives were well balanced, sharp, and full tanged. Last but not least; the dinnerware was exceedingly clean without a waterspot or stain in sight. Thumbs up!

Every once in a while, it’s a joy to splurge and have a fine dinner. We love to occasionally sample the best of the local chef and top notch service and Mahogany does not disappoint. Our biggest problem at a place like Mahogany is that we order too much and have a hard time finishing our meal. Last night we decided to forgo the appetizer, probably a mistake, but… We ordered the chophouse salad and the Mahogany salad. Both were delicious and well prepared. My lady ordered a filet and I enjoyed my favorite, a ribeye. We shared buttered corn and a loaded baked potato. Our steaks were extremely tender and well cooked. The corn was sliced off the cob, then marinated in butter and the baked potato was sweet, tender, and tasty. We shared a very nice crème brûlée. Our waiter, Ashley was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. She was an asset to our dining experience. Her backup staff was close at hand for our every need. We hope to visit this fine restaurant again soon.

I guess the previous visits set the bar high so this visit was not as superb. We always order the ribeye when we’re here. We both wanted our steaks to be cooked medium-rare but both were medium when presented to us. It seemed like the restaurant was hosting 2 larger private parties so we didn’t want to be «that girl/guy». Anyway, the steaks tasted saltier than usual and to be quite honest… They tasted previously frozen. However, our fried calamari appetizer and side dishes were delish. The service was good but not as good as the previous visits as well. If it’s for the other visits… I would have given 5stars.

I’ve had some amazing steak in my life — this is at the top of that list. I didn’t have very many good days in or around Tulsa, but the amazing food, service, and whole experience at Mahogany was a great evening I will always remember well. I hope everyone has the chance to experience a meal like this at least once in their life.

Amazing food. Killer service. I loved that our server brought black napkins out to match our clothes. I’ve emailed, and staff says they’d have zero issues making me a vegan dish, with adequate notice. Wasn’t crazy about the charge for water, and, if you’re budget conscious, don’t order off menu specials! I did, without asking the price. Ordered a 106 dollar steak! It was ridiculously good… but wet almost couldn’t pay our ticket! Lesson learned for me! We’ll definitely be back though.
