After searching for Mike’s food truck at the Fiesta Mart for nearly 2 weeks, he finally showed up. I ordered a half rack of ribs. It was okay, not great. It was fall off the bone ribs but my preference is for ribs where you need some struggle to bring it off the bone. It was over-smoked for my preference. It also lacked the«bark» that you see at other joints. I also had to wait 15 minutes as the owner had to get some change from the Fiesta Mart.

There are many BBQ joints in the Tulsa area, but only a few are great, Mike’s BBQ is one of them. On my first visit I asked for whatever was good. The nice lady said, «we just pulled some ribs off. They’re very meaty and have no sauce on them.» «No sauce?» I asked. «No,» she said. «We don’t like to hide anything.» It is true the baby back ribs are amazing. The chopped brisket may be the very best in Tulsa, that’s right… BEST. One of my goto meals at Mike’s is the pulled pork sandwich piled high with cole slaw. Just look at my pictures to see, but visit his truck to understand. See the bark? You will not find that type of BBQ love at most joints. Also, a very important note, you will not find many BBQ joints that serve only meat from off the smoker that day. Yeah, so, not day old meat. Be sure you follow Mike’s BBQ on Facebook. He normally parks his truck at 91st and Delaware, I have many friends that drive across town just to get their hands on some. Lastly, I have ordered for large groups before, well worth it.

OMG! I recently stumbled upon MIKE’S BBQ while I was out. I saw MIKESBBQ food truck at the Northwest corner of 71st& Sheridan; I was starving, so I pulled in. What a mouth-watering experience I had! I ordered chopped brisket, potato salad, & baked beans. I have NEVER had such GREATBBQ as MIKESBBQ… and I’m from Texas, the BBQ State! They also told me they are usually setup at Canton First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX. I can’t wait to eat there again! YUMMYGOODNESS!
