Renegades has always been one of the best gay bars in Tulsa, however, as of lately, it’s been awful. Rusty(the bar manager) is one of the worst bartenders I’ve ever had. He’s a caddy bitch and more concerned about street parking than guest satisfaction. I hope the owners of this place realize that the bar manager is responsible for their lack in buisness and fire him. Why would a bar manger worry about the city of tulsa’s parking over their bar sales? If you want a great gay bar with friendly staff, go to Area 18.

This place sucks out the rear end. The prices for drinks change each time you go get one. I have never encountered such a rude and hateful bar tender in my life. Used to be a cool hang out came tonight to say goodbye to a good friend. But this place blows. I hear new owners have purchased it and it won’t last long with the bullshit they are pulling. For instance 45 minutes ago a Michelob ultra cost me 8 dollars 10 minutes ago it was 3 dollars and the bartender was a total ass. Will n ot come back

Please don’t support Renegades… They over pay a Spotify DJ and get defensive if you want to request a song. My advice to them would be to get a DJ that doesn’t sit 5feet above their patrons and isn’t out back smoking and just playing a(bad) playlist. I tried to speak to a manager as one manager to another but was disqualified because I had a few brews(if I was over served it was from YOURBARTENDERS) May I add I wasn’t too drunk to understand what was happening. There was nothing happening on their dance floor and an empty DJ booth, I wanted to change all of that and have a good time. Unfortunately they didn’t make that possible and were hostile when I tried to speak to them about it.

The atmosphere is great and the bar tenders are friendly, but when we tried to request a song, the Dj disappeared for 45 minutes. When we finally found the Dj and asked politely to play a song for us, he informed us that the dance floor was closed. When I go to a gay bar, I expect to have a great time with my friends and have the opportunity to request music that I want to dance to. When we tried to lodge a complaint with management, we were hung up on twice and told our number would be blocked from calling the bar. If you want to have a good night with friends with music you want to listen to, please avoid this bar.

I miss this bar so much. Easy to make friends. I always made a new friend every night I went. The bar staff are hot and friendly. Multiple bathrooms, a snack machine, ATM and I think a cig machine too. A back patio for smoking. Drag shows, karaōke nights and pool table. It’s only takes a few visits for it to feel like home. It’s a great place.

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon in June. They were not busy when we got there– a few customers were watching a movie on TV. That’s always a bit awkward because you tend to feel like you are interrupting. We were served promptly but with no small talk from the bartenders. We just ordered, he took our money, and he moved on. It got busy while we were there with a softball team, so we drank one drink and left. Not much to look at from the outside, and very dark inside. There is a back patio.
