I love On A Whim! They’re always very eager to help and so nice, yes there may be a lot of MC things but who cares? They have lots of other cool stuff and its good for Brookside! We need more shopping and less restaurants :)

Pros: this is where I go to pick up gifts for people I don’t know well, but feel obligated to get them things. Think bosses, secretaries, children’s teachers, etc. i usually end up wandering the store again and again until I settle on a random item. This places accepts credit cards and does complimentary gift wrapping. For my fiancé’s secretary and schedulers during Christmas $ 50 candles. Packaging was divine and came in appropriate old lady scents. They raced about them. For my own bosses during the holidays, light up novelty tumblers and jars of chocolate chip cookies. On this occasion, I came to get a birthday gift for my boss. Personalized items are the best! You can get anything personalized. It shows the person that you took time to get it made, but can still be rather impersonal. Think personalized wine glasses or luggage. Cons: this location was close to my massage place so I came here. It doesn’t have parking and I had to walk far to get here. Will definitely just stick to the location closer to my home.

On a Whim is a fun boutique with a random variety of literally everything. MacKenzie-Childs entire tableware collection, candles, soaps, cheese boards, cook books, serving trays, jewelry, shoes, clothing, random birthday cards, candy, etc. It’s one of those all purpose higher-end gift stores filled with inspiration. They have a small selection of designer clothing and jewelry — I found a cute dress and a fun necklace here on one visit. I haven’t always had the best of luck with service — I swear no pays attention to you unless you’re a Brookside mom decked out in Lululemon. A friend complained of that once and every time I’ve gone back since I’ve experienced the same. Turns me off from spending too much time here. Also, while they have really fun gift ideas, you can generally get everything for quite a bit less online. If you need something immediately, they may be worth a visit. Also, if you need inspiration, On a Whim is perfect. However, I would recommend looking online before buying anything to save yourself some money.

I love this small business on Brookside! It carries high end designers like Haute Hippie dresses and Paige Denim jeans along with the assortment of Murad beauty products and Butter London nail polishes. Then there’s the wall of assorted wonderful-smelling candles. And if you’re looking for Kendra Scott jewelry, you have your pick here! Shout out to the fantastic staff as well! I had my eye on a Kate Spade planner only to find it out of stock. The following week, I was tagged in an Instagram photo to let me know they had what I was looking for back in stock and would be happy to hold it for me until I could stop in to purchase. Such great customer service! Stop in here if you are tired of the mall but don’t want to buy online for fear of poor fit or quality. This is such a wonderful small local business to support!

On a Whim is a must-stop when you are anywhere near Brookside! I was so happy when they brought On a Whim to Tulsa and Brookside is the perfect place. On a Whim carries more up-scale designers. They have clothing, hand bags, shoes, jewelry, baby, and home accents. Also, one of my favorites, On a Whim is one of the few stores in Tulsa to carry Kendra Scott jewelry! The staff is very energetic and always willing to help. It is a very fun store. There is street parking along Peoria, but there is also a large lot behind the store. Again, it is somewhat expensive, but this is the place to find the designer brands. So, you should stop by, On a Whim!
