KI’m spire member with IHG and have been using Holiday Inn hotels for over 20 years now. Hotel is as I’m used to facilities are fine. I asked for a dirty martini with blue cheese olives and what I got was a shot of vodka and then the same again in olive brine sorry to the bar tender but I have to say go to bar school… I take that back Holiday Inn train your staff better… John Taffer would at the top of his voice say«rubbish do it again» For the record Dirty Martini 2.5oz vodka 0.5oz vermouth 0.5oz brine Shaken or stirred add olives job done And best served in a chilled glass When I asked the bartender to try again I got same shit just less brine leaving me with half a martini $ 9 and a huge lack of vodka Never mind next time please try better Ps look at the picture it looks like a piss sample

First time here, we arrived at 7, our party of 7 arrived at 6:15 so they waited a few minutes to order. Let’s just say their food arrived and hour later(cold) and we’re still waiting to be served. The food is cold, our service was ok. If you’re in a somewhat big party(4 or more) be prepared to wait!!! I won’t be back. They did comp the meal! Big Whoop!!!

For a Holiday Inn lounge this place is pretty good. Great HH. Bartender’s, Elizabeth has been here for a long time, are awesome. Food is awesome. If you just want to sit down and enjoy a couple drinks, get a bite to eat. Try this place. You won’t regret it.

Okay… I had gone there several years ago and it was average to slightly above… this last time was beyond bad. My order was for the following: cajun chicken flatbread: spicy bbq, cajun chicken mozzarella and onion Same thing I had had there before but for whatever reason I suspect to keep costs down the dish was nasty. The reason? Well you can’t screw up the flatbread and they didn’t… but the chicken? It wasn’t grilled or cooked, it was clearly the chunks of white meet you get out of a can and it tasted it, so bland that eating a piece of it off the flatbread alone was downright gross. Onions? well they should have been cooked slightly from when the flatbread was cooked but they weren’t, still pretty much raw on top of the mozzarella cheese. The only flavor on this otherwise bland as chalk dish was the spicy bbq sauce that was very sparingly squirted in a zigzag fashion across the dish. I can only say to anyone considering stopping by… don’t… if you have the misfortune of being stuck in the Holiday Inn where the Boulder Grill resides, then do yourself a favor and order out. This place is really down to the point it should be closed.

This should be a five star review. The food here is really quite amazing. One friend goes nuts over the tater tots every time we eat here. Today he had the baked potato soup. At our table we had the bacon-wrapped-dates, fish tacos, the tomato soup special and the house salad. The problem with this place is the service. They’re very nice but extremely slow. We come here for lunch and we only get an hour but the staff at this restaurant seem to be in a time warp. Today I waited a full 45 minutes for the soup and salad combo. There is no reason why I should have to wait so long for something so simple. To make matters worse, I had specifically asked that they not include the cheese. Naturally, not only did the salad come with cheese, so did the soup. Waiting 45 minutes to have my meal delivered not the way I ordered it is not acceptable. I couldn’t send it back because my lunch hour was nearly over already, so I had to try to pick out the shredded cheese as much as I could. Not an enjoyable task. I would love to give this place five stars but they haven’t done enough to earn them. I can’t even give them three as that would be «A-OK,» so they get two. Hopefully, they’ll work on their service and speed a bit and try to realize that lunch hour is called that for a reason.

Went on a Monday night. Very quiet. Got there in time for happy hour so had a half price flat bread. Very tasty. Waitress was a bit spacy but she was trying. Had two drinks each and dessert and still only $ 60. Nice atmosphere. Would go again.

I was back in town yesterday. Wow. They were busy and could barely keep up with the volume. But everyone seemed happy despite the stress. Tuna wonton amazing! Highly recommended.

Gotta tell you — this place sucks. I’ve never said that in any review until now. It wasn’t just that the table service was some of the worst in my life. I’ll actually give that a pass(with gritted teeth) because our server literally was working his first day ever and he personally apologized so much it was embarrassing. No, it also was the fact that the whole place was disorganized, slow and unapologetic for any of it. That’s management’s fault and they don’t appear to give a damn. We went here two nights in a row — first night they forgot our order. No joke. We knew that because the server told us after waiting for 25 minutes. No word from the manager. No offer of compensation. Nothing. Second night(captive audience — two night airline layover), we were told — after we waited ten minutes — that they were out of fries. How in the world does a downtown hotel restaurant run out of fries? Any offer of a free substitution? Not a chance. No apology; nothing. Any manager available to talk with? Not a chance. Also second night — slowest bartender in the 50 states. The tragedy here is that the food actually is pretty good. If you’d get the management figured out, this would be a decent restaurant. If anyone from the Holiday Inn reads these things, you gotta do something structural here. This was awful.

Tulsa isn’t making a great impression on me. Especially after my experience at the Boulder Grill. I’m stuck in Tulsa on an overnight a very very long 35 hours. The hotel I’m at really is near nothing but well this place and the crappy hotel restaurant(see last review). I walk in and the place looks closed, I’m greeted with a very dirty look from the bartender, who instead of helping me just turns around. I have to ask the guy washing windows if they’re open since half the chairs are on the tables. He then has to ask the bartender to do her job. I’m currently sitting next to a table that has yet to be cleared. I also just witnessed the manager go up to the man washing windows and pretend to moon him through the window and shake her butt up against it. Wtf? Oh and my food(fish tacos) are burnt to a crisp. Ridiculous!!!

I really wanted to be blown away by Boulder Grill, but I had lunch here and was just… okay’d. I had the grilled pesto chicken with truffle tots. I thought the ratio of bread-to-filling was a little high, and the grilled chicken was on the drier side. I was really excited to try the truffle tots, but I was a little disappointed afterwards. They’re more like croquettes than traditional tater tots: the texture is like a fairly smooth mashed potato that’s been fried. Also, the truffle flavor isn’t that pronounced, so they were more like«plain croquettes» rather than«truffle tots». They were well-fried, though, I’ll give them that. Service was fine; our waitress kept our waters refilled.

Delightful is a word I don’t usually use. However, when thinking of The Boulder Grill it’s the first thing that comes to mind! Whether you need a quick lunch with great booth table space to work out of or a nicer and more relaxed dinner — this is a great option. Located in the Holiday Inn downtown, it was one of those rare places that stays open in the mid to late afternoon. It’s an easy place to find and the restaurant itself is spotless, chic, and modern. There are several televisions around and the bar area floats in the middle and is well-stocked! Recently, I had one of their salads with grilled chicken and it was fresh and dressed well with flavorful toppings and dressing. It was the perfect amount of food for lunch! Our waitress was kind and helpful as she checked in on us several times, but not in an overbearing way. I’m a fan of this downtown spot with great hours!

I’ve had some nasty experiences at Holiday Inn restaurants, but man was I surprised here. The staff were all great, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the fish tacos with truffle tots, which were amazing. The fish tacos weren’t memorable, but they weren’t bad(I’m from Dallas, so I’m already up to the eyes in tex-mex). HOWEVER, those damn truffle tots. GETTHEM. They were so perfect. Don’t even bother dipping them in anything because they’re so perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside, while still tender on the inside. I could eat a bucket full of those things. The marshall IPA also washed everything down really nicely. I’m not a huge beer afficionado, but many of my friends are so I’ve had the chance to try many over the years. I don’t even like hoppy drinks, but this IPA was great! I ordered a carrot cake to go(priority club members get a free dessert or app), and it smells divine. It tastes as good as it smells, and I’m so happy ^_^ I didn’t get any fresh whipped cream in the take out box, but no big. The cream cheese icing is nicely sweet. Definitely don’t be afraid to chow down here if you’re staying at the HI!

We needed to eat lunch in Downtown Tulsa during that time that is a virtual no-man’s land” 3P. Too late for a late lunch, too early for happy hour menus or dinner menus. We tried several other places, before calling the Boulder Grill. Success! Our waitress was mopping as we came in but happily sat us and got us set up with menus and sodas. I ordered the Thai Salad, which was totally delicious: A grilled chicken breast served atop a mix of baby greens and spinach with napa cabbage, carrots, peppers, tortilla strips and a peanut vinaigrette that was absolutely delicious. I also appreciated that while the dressing was flavorful, they didn’t drown the salad in the sauce. Our waitress checked on us several times and brought everything out in a timely fashion, all while doing her closing or opening duties. She even offered our drinks to go, and extra step that I always really appreciate. I’ll be back, especially if I’m in Tulsa during lunch-time-warp again!

Four stars for food, one star for always being FREEZING cold. Everything I ever ordered there was good. Too bad I was shivering too much to enjoy it.

We ordered lunch at the Boulder Grill. We ran out of time(our fault) while we were waiting for our food so our gracious server boxed up our food and we were on the way to our appointment. We realize that chicken nachos don’t age well but taking that into consideration they were kind of boring. Nothing really set them apart from something we could have made at home. The Reuben sandwich was good. They could have added meat instead of lumping it all in the center of the bread giving the«appearance» of a healthy portion. It was a $ 10 sandwich so I really expected a monster. I would rate this place as high as some others but I really look for value above all else. Décor and friendly staff have merits and the Boulder Grill did well in these areas.

Wanted to do something other than watch tv so I headed down on my own to the hotel bar. The menu was loaded with interesting items and it was difficult to choose. I originally had in mind just a burger but I was tempted by the: Bacon Wrapped Dates Shrimp and Grits Scotch Egg South West Salad I ended up with the Burger with Avocado and mushrooms with Sweet Potato Fries. I have to tell you I made a good decision. As a rule of thumb I steer away from $ 11 burgers(the Hyatt DFW for example) and I have found hotel restaurants terribly inconsistent(Don Shula’s at the Sheraton in Ft. Worth for example) but if the rest of the menu is as tasty as the burger I just ate, then I would have no hesitation about recommending the Boulder Grill. I hope to come back here soon to try some of the other items I mentioned.

Boulder Grill The Boulder Grill was a last minute lunch spot that I saw on my Unilocal app that seemed pretty good at the time. The restaurant is located in downtown Tulsa at the Holiday Inn — City Center on 7th Street — just a stone throw away from the Tulsa Convention Center. A few friends of mine met up here for a quick bite after checking into the Route 66 Marathon expo, being held at the convention center. I did call ahead to make reservations a few days before, but when I called back to up my reservation, the lady on the phone said they didn’t take reservations, so that was pretty cool. I did notice their reservation book in the restaurant when we walked in and it’s one of those things where you just say hmm. Maybe they just use it for busy nights, as opposed to weekend lunches. At the time my friends and I were there, there was only one waiter and one cook, so the service was a tad slower than we’d like. It’s was nice to enjoy my friends company, especially when we don’t see each other for months at a time. There was a certain café atmosphere when I arrive in here with friends after waiting in the Holiday Inn lobby for them. The ambiance was great and quiet. The outlets on the wall was perfect for charging up iPhone when she needed a power boost. The service was good, but they were short staffed that day, so it’s probably a good excuse for the slower than normal turn around time. I ultimately ordered the prime rib, which turned out to be a NY strip steak with french fries and a beer. One friend had the turkey and avocado wrap, while the other had the tater tots along with a some sort of burger that I can’t really remember. The beer was good and the steak could have used a punch of seasoning, since it was kind of dry. Maybe I should have asked for A1 sauce, but it was juicy and delicious enough. The vegetables that accompanied the entrée was sautéed cucumbers, which was pretty awesome. The fries were nice, especially an upgrade to what I have been used to — which was McDonald’s. I really love restaurant cut fries. Hope to return to that sometime soon. Overall, this place is a decent place to spend a Saturday, if you are in downtown Tulsa or staying in the area. Prices are pretty good, but not terribly expensive either. Parking can be at the Holiday Inn on property or nearby street parking. Support local! B

Stopped by this bar to wait for a colleague to get ready and head out on the town. What a great idea that was too! The bartender was really cool and gave us a bunch of ideas on where to eat. Since we were only in town for a few days to attend a trade show, we only had one open night to ourselves. I wanted to make it count so I pressed the bartender… he suggested Joe Mamma’s Pizza. While we were conversing and having fun I had a Marshall IPA… recommended by the bartender. It was a great recommendation too… it had a nice slightly bitter taste to it and finished smooth. The décor of the bar was modern and there was a nice crowd in there. Very surprising for a bar located in a Holiday Inn. There was an outdoor patio that faced the street that looked cool. Unfortunately, we didn’t stay long enough to enjoy it. Will I return? Next trip to Tulsa, you bet!

My friends were skeptical about trying a restaurant in the Holiday Inn downtown, but don’t let the locale scare you away. This is a very trendy restaurant with cool décor, excellent menu and drink selection. They have indoor, bar and patio seating. I can’t speak to the table service because I sat at the bar and the service was great. They have an eclectic menu which you can view online at their website. We enjoyed the Macadamia Stuffed Dates(dates wrapped in bacon swimming in brown sugar glaze) and Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes for appetizers, and also liked the Fish Tacos and Northwest Burger(burger with smoked salmon and cream cheese). On another visit, we enjoyed the Pick 3 Sliders and Rib Eye. All these dishes were very tasty and fresh. The only disappointing dishes were the Cannelloni Bean Hummus and the Shrimp P’schetti(shrimp with spaghetti and marinara) which were both fairly bland. For dessert, the S’Mores and Apple Wonton Dumplings were both excellent. They only have six taps but they’ve squeezed in a superb beer selection including Marshall Atlas IPA and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for those of us who like pale ales. They have a good wine selection along with martini and cocktail menu. This is definitely a neat place to sit around for a drink and get some great food. Check them out online and then give it a try!
