Wait a minute, if a bar charges a cover charge, shouldn’t they charge from the time u walk in? charge a cover charge the whole time that they’re open? I walked in there about 745 maybe 8 o’clock and there was no cover charge. I want to side to smoke a cigarette and came back in and they wanted to charge me five dollars. They got pissy with me about it so I want everyone to know that what is a bad place to go drink. Just stay the fuck away from there. It isn’t worth your time. The drinks are overpriced, there is no food. The bands suck. I only gave them one star because I think I have to give them a star at all. at all to write them. Frankly they should be –5 stars.

Woods on a Saturday afternoon was a fantastic mix of old regulars, a few college kids, and explorers such as myself. Bartender was friendly and the vibe was laid back and relaxed. Weather was perfect for pool with opened doors.

Woody’s Corner Bar is the quintessential dive bar located on the corner of 2nd Street and Elgin Avenue in the Blue Dome District of downtown Tulsa. In fact, the famous«Blue Dome» gas station is located right across the road from this little bar. After several nights on the road, the hotel room was feeling a little too small, and I wasn’t in the mood for another night at the hotel lobby bar. The doorman at the Hyatt pointed down 2nd Street and told me to walk down a few blocks to Woody’s for a frosty cold Adult beverage. There wasn’t much of a crowd when I first got there, but after DJ Mikey Bee started spinning the tunes, the place grew more lively. Woody’s is your typical beer guzzling, smoky«Neon Cowboy”-kinda club where people come to shoot a game of pool and listen to music. A few brave souls got up to dance while I was there, but I was busy playing 8-ball with a couple of guys on my team. I wouldn’t consider this a classy date night-kinda place, unless you’re into roping & riding. No, this is more a place to enjoy a cold beer, shoot some pool, and swap stories. There’s nothing wrong with Woody’s — just go there expecting a dive bar, and you’ll be fine.

If you’re stumbling around Blue Dome, this is a good place for a shot. A shot! Don’t confuse things. This is a seedy, smokey joint that you go to before you go home. Get a shot, play a game of pool, and have a good time. Don’t expect anything more than what is advertised, which is nothing! Good dive bar.

Came here after a concert at the BOK. The place was packed. The prices are a little high, but there was a live band on, and the atmosphere was cool. There’s also a food truck outside.

This place is not that great. There is no one usually in there. I hear from the locals that there are usually fights in this establishment. I went once and walked out after 5 minutes. Visited November 2014

The smoke filled atmosphere and plastic pints at Woody’s really detracts from what would otherwise be an average 3-star bar. I would not go here unless you really love smelling like the Marlboro Man or want to pay for drinks that cost as much as drinks at much nicer establishments. So, to summarize, do not patronize this bar!

This bar was just okay — It served as perfect for my friend and I who wanted a bar on a Sunday night that wasn’t crowded or expensive. We did not have an cover charge, I’m guessing that’s only on weeknights or Fri/Sat… Either way, I liked this bar, but I wouldn’t pay a cover charge to get in! The bartender was nice but there were some creepy guys in there… All in all this place was mediocre. Dart board didn’t work, lost money on that. Cheap drinks were enough to keep us there for a few hours.

Nice medium sized dive bar. Drinks are good and strong. Prices are what you would expect. Atmosphere is good and locals hang out here. Seems to be a younger crowd. Nice place.

I DO like this bar, cheap drinks… don’t have to wait in line too long… on the weekends there’s a food truck outside if you’re hungry. What I HATE is that they always have a cover. But I love how they can open the whole bar when it’s nice outside by opening the large garage doors. Plus you can smoke in there and it’s not too smokey.

moving here right after college and not fully transitioning to adult life yet this would be the best bar to go to. It has a fun atmosphere and the people there all all young and wanting to have a good time. Everytime I go there I have to pay a $ 5 cover, but it almost seems worth it for the atmosphere this bar gives off. The beer there is fast and you dont have to wait forever to get another one. The people who work there are as well nice, not the greatest people but i guess there is always worst. Theres always seating in this bar and on the weekends they have a live bank which allows you to have some form of entertainment there. The lighting there is also great and not dim like most college bars. I definitely always have a good time there whenever I go!

If you’re 19 or 20 and using your buddys fake ID or are 21+ and looking to «relive your youth» then stop on by. If you like the smell of cigarettes and wish you could hit up a frat party in downtown tulsa… stop on by… but if you’re looking for an «adult» night spot to have a few drinks with your friends; keep walking.

I don’t really understand the bad reviews. It is a dive bar and if you go in expecting a dive bar you will see that it about as good as it gets. TVs everywhere. Drink specials. Nice bartenders. The prices may seem a little high for a dive, but it is downtown and they aren’t that high. In fact, I had 3 IPAs, a shot, and a very large BBQ dinner(more on that in a minute) for about $ 35. I was there by myself on business and asked the bartender if they could get the Penguins game. He tried really hard to find it, but they didn’t have it. No attitude at all. In fact, he was a really good guy. I was just going to have a beer and leave to find dinner, but it turns out they get have a deal with the rib crib where you can order their food. So I did and ended up staying for quite a while. As the evening went on, younger/louder/annoying people started to filter in. But, again, it is a dive bar in a young part of town. If you don’t want that, go to one of the more«mature» places. At any rate, this will be a place I will visit if I am ever back in Tulsa.

Not a bad place to hang out with a large group of friends, especially after an evening of kickball, due to the size but that’s about it. There is often a cover charge that is typically not worth it due to other options nearby. While there are some really good staff there, they seem to often be undermanned and speed of service noticeably suffers. Typical domestic beers and simple shots are the bread and butter of the bar as mixed drinks are more miss than hit.

A decent bar to hangout especially during street events in that area or with a group of people. The prices are higher than they should be for a bar of this calibre in Tulsa — $ 8 for well. The crowd is relatively diverse and usually friendly, which is a plus. Good for groups as there are many large tables.

This place is a lot of fun. It’s got a great atmosphere and the price of the beer is pretty reasonable, especially for pitchers. I like that there’s a big screen TV that lets you play video games right by the front! It’s always entertaining here and I try and stop here every time I go out to the bars.

A company from the trade show I attended hosted a party here one night. We stopped by after bar hopping earlier in the evening. The place was packed to the hilt. From what I could tell, there is a pool table and a small stage for live music. On the night I was there, there was one guy playing a guitar singing… MTV Unplugged style. We were already pretty toasted by the time we got here, so we only had a couple more beers and then went back to our hotel. It is tough to rate this place because they were slammed much more than normal I’m sure. The service at the bar wasn’t too bad considering how busy they were. Will I return? You bet.
