White Flag

This is the second time that we have been here and they are nothing short of exceptional! The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is simply amazing. I had the Back Alley Chicken Club with Beer Battered Fries, the candied bacon is to die for. Doug had the White Flag Burger with regular fries. He really enjoyed the burger. We will definitely be going there again.

My husband Kenny and I came here for lunch on a groupon. I had checked out the menu and had seen the place from outside several times, but had never gone inside.
The waitress was super friendly and we were seated promptly. I loved the menus; they look like a brochure. We both ordered burgers and fries; his with everything and mine with just mustard. I also ordered an Angry Orchard hard apple cider.
I have to say that the food was much better than I expected. Our burgers were absolutely delicious and the fries were divine; the best fries I’ve ever eaten. My husband raved about the establishment, something he doesn’t do often. We would absolutely come back.

This place has closed and re-​opened since I was last here. I am from Seattle and was SO excited to hear they re-​opened before I returned. The menu has changed a bit, but they are still a legitimately delicious place to get food.
This place is SUPER CLEAN, which is huge for me. Casual places with a chill ambiance that are also spic-​n-​span are kinda rare.
Their beer-​battered French fries are pretty awesome… Also, I happened upon them on $ 5 burger night, which meant that they got an even bigger tip because my overall ticket was lower and I *still* got phenomenal service and food!
It’s all good, but I recommend the Selma Hayek Burger!

Brunch was great here. The were open to a specialized vegetarian order and my family loved the cheap prices for pretty good food.

So far I’ve been here twice and had a great experience both times! I’ve sat in the bar area and gotten great service. I was greeted right away. Also both servers were great at giving recommendations. They have a pretty decent beer selection. I can honestly say their burgers are some of the best that I’ve ever had! The beer battered fries were pretty good, not my favorite but then again I’m not a big fry connoisseur. I really like this place and plan to go back very soon.

I had The Wizard sandwich with beer battered fries and a chocolate cherry cordial adult milkshake! Cheese curds and fried pickles for our appetizer. Everything was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!

I was wanting Eggs Benedict and I saw on their facebook that they have it for brunch. When I got there they said they only had it for a special and I was disappointed but a guy at the bar (not sure who he was) said that he would make it for me. Oh my it was so delish and the eggs were cooked just perfect. I have heard great things about the food and my friend I was with had the breakfast quesadilla and it looked fabulous. The bacon was really good too. They have a bloody mary bar which had tomato juice as well as Zing and if I wasn’t so hung over I would’ve gone crazy on all the yummy spices. It was fresh and the fixings were really good.
Even though the guy at the bar was awesome to make my dish and the bloody mary bar was great, the bartender was so strange… After we ordered my friend was looking at the menu and she took it out of his hands. We both kind of laughed about it… When I asked for a bloody mary she had everything else to do instead of taking care of my order and even told me to wait because she had to wipe wine glasses. Everyone has their bad days I get it but I was really shocked at her rude behavior. We both felt like an inconvenience and we were two of three people sitting at the bar and it wasn’t busy at all in the restaurant.
All in all I will go back and try some of their specials they have throughout the week. They have a big screen so I won’t sit at the bar again but I will go back. But it will be a good place to watch sports. I didn’t get a chance to look at the menu before it was taken from us but I see on Facebook they have specials posted all the time.

I’ll admit I’m prejudiced to give a favorable review upon hearing The Velvet Underground upon walking in. But the food, patty melt and mac’n’cheese, was quite good. And despite being torpedoed with a 30ish+ people birthday party, the service was good.

The food is delicious! Portions are huge. Staff is so friendly! Highly recommend! We had a rehearsal dinner there and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was the way we wanted!

I travel every week and I’m 260lbs… so I know my food. Stumbled onto this place trying to kill time waiting for our hotel rooms to open up. The special of the day, recommended from the staff, was chicken parm sandwich. INCREDIBLE! Crunchy bread, perfectly cooked and battered chicken with amazing topics to accommodate. The fries were absolutely the bomb as well. Crunchy seasoned treats. Must stop in and eat if in Tulsa!!! Bloody Prairie as my drink to accompany my chow was the perfect combination of mid day happiness.

Attended the soft opening today, 8÷6÷15, should be opened in a few days for good!
WELCOME BACK WHITE FLAG! We wandered in not realizing today was a vendor sample menu day, and were welcomed with wonderful service and a free lunch. Lunch was spectacular, the fried pickles were perfectly seasoned. All 5 of us tried different meals, I had the Oklahoman pizza, it was chicken bbq pizza heaven. The Chicken Club was deemed «a little too heavy for lunch, but good!», The Selma Hayek, The White Flag and the Pulled Pork sandwich were all raved over. We had fun and were in and out in under an hour with 5 people. Excited for WF to reopen officially, great spot in the Blue Dome!

When reviewing a restaurant I want to consider the service and the food.
The food here was a ³⁄₅ stars. Better than your average burger but not enough to warrant more than a second return. What I mean by this is simply I would go back but I haven’t scheduled a return visit as of yet.
The service was not terrible but left much to be desired. It had the feel of going to your friends house who just had a fight with his/​her spouse. The servers were friendly but just because they had to be.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in life! Service was fast too. I had the «Big Booty Judy». I would recommend it if you’re into all types of flavors all at once with each bite. They support local music to the fullest as well. Great environment at The Blue Dome District!

AMAZING burgers and drink prices. Great service. You place your drink/​food order at the bar and you can sit there if theres a place or find a table then someone will bring your food out. Last time I was there I had the pineapple express burger, AMAZING

Colin and I are pinchin’ pennies this month and needed a break from the ramen (I’m not talkin’ ’bout the good kind.)
Thanks to Unilocal and seeing reviews on $ 2 burger night we still saved some dough on and had a date night for about $ 6! The basic burger is full of flavor — the patty is not huge (remember, it’s $ 2) but is still quite tasty. The bun was my favorite part — it’s unique and tasted more like a delicious soft baguette. Toppings include mustard, lettuce, onions and tomato. I splurged and payed an extra buck for crispy onion stings and would do it again.
Walking through the door down to the counter where you order sets the mood. It’s lively with awesome speakers playing good standard jams and the lighting is dim with paper lanterns. The staff was friendly and prompt. Oh, ya — and there’s a complimentary pickle bar.
I’m always a fan of finding a new sports bar with some legit big screens so I can’t wait to go back for a Thunder game!

Finally made my way downtown and got to try out White Flag for the first time. I ordered a Double Basic w/​Cheese, added Bacon and Onion Strings to it, the bun got a little soggy… but that’s just the sign of a great burger! The Bacon was very crisp… loved it! For my side I tried their season Curly Fries… very crisp and well seasoned… friendly staff, great atmosphere… the military movie posters on the wall were very cool!
Will definitely be back!

Solid, greasy spoon burger. Agree with the other review, it’s just a little awkward knowing how to order (and order drinks) for a first timer. To their credit, however, young lady behind the order counter asked if we wanted to start a tab for subsequent drinks.
Ordered the Salma Hayek – you know, a little spicy. Bacon, green chilis, cheese. Super gooey. Great home made bun. Fries are good. Split a basket with my homeboy, with ease.
Welcome addition to the Blue Dome. Although this is essentially a Fat Guys 3.0 concept, I wish them well.

I have been to White Flag consecutively for the past 3 mondays for their $ 2 burger night. The burgers are sort of an in betweener of a steak burger and a «normal burger. Crispy yet juicy. Meat is grilled with onions in. I’m not a fan of onions in burgers or onions in general, but they aren’t noticeable and add great flavor.
Sides I have tried are not bad either. Fried green tomatoes are just as delicious as they were when this place was Back Alley BBQ. Curly fries are a great addition. Onion rings we a it to large and may have been over cooked. Lots of breading fell off into the basket.
They also have a small pickle bar. Bread and butter (gross). Spicy Dill (awesome). Deli style mini dills (too sweet really to be considered deli or dill) and Regular Dill.
Atmosphere is nice and better seating arrangements than Back Alley.

Great Burgers & Great Service.
I tried the Pineapple Express w/​fries, and my friend had the Communication Failure w/​onion rings. Both burgers were delicious and The brioche bun was absolutely fantastic in my opinion. My girlfriend ordered the queso and chips, which took an extra 15 minutes, but our waitress (without a comment from us) came to our table with a refund for it! I was pretty impressed all the way around. The vibe was cool, the waitstaff was friendly, and I will definitely be back.
P. S. If you’re in the mood for a heart attack, the fried twinkies are pretty fantastic.

White Flag is no caution flag; it’s a green flag, maybe a checkered flag because it’s finally realizing its destiny and finishing it’s transformation.
Inside, White Flag has the same charm of Blake Ewing’s other restaurants. Exposed brick and wood tables give the place a casual feel and the Edison bulbs give it a feeling of familiarly and comfort. Before you take your first bite, you know you want to come back.
The food is good. The buns feel a little small but taste good and do a good job of soaking in all the burgerlicious flavor. I got some fries with my burger and they were lightly crispy and peppered. The crispiness was nice but the peppering made them too spicy for my tastes.
My burger was the Bleu Dome Burger and I don’t know that words can do it justice. If you’re not a bleu cheese believer, this burger might change your mind. I would recommend it as a cure for hangovers, Mondays and general anxiety. Take two and call me in the morning.
I had a five-​star experience at White Flag on opening night but I can’t in good conscious give them a five star rating after one visit. So instead I give it five 4-​star ratings and promise to come back and give it the chance to earn the five-​star it deserves.
