This is a meal sent from heaven!!! The best BBQ on earth!!! I have never tasted anything like it. I took a trip to Seattle and I stopped here and it was so good when we were leaving we had to come back! Everything on the menu is homemade and heavenly! You can’t miss it. Don’t forget to try the smoked corn chowder! It is the best I have ever had. Also the pulled pork and the ribs and to die for!!! The couple running the truck are so friendly and make everything from scratch. We can’t wait to come again

Visiting some friends from social. Stumbled on this little gem while on a road trip from Vancouver to Seattle. Got the sampler and Mac. Everything was Ah-amazing! The ribs were the best I’d ever had! Prices were right and customer service was great. A must stop for foodies out there!

I’m so happy that heavenly hog is in the Olympia area. The food is absolutely amazing. If you want the best BBQ around, this is the place.

DELICIOUS! The best barbeque in town. I’m so happy there is one place in the Olympia area that knows what real barbeque is. Washingtonians always seem to think grilling is the same as barbeque – and I would kindly direct them here to prove them wrong. Smoked to perfection. I’ve had a pulled pork sandwich and the sampler and both were absolutely delicious.

We stopped by and had the pulled pork and chicken– twice!; Both dishes were smokey-delicious and filling; nothing like some other BBQ I have tried. I plan to return to check out the other menu items or grab some for dinner. I wish they were closer in!

Great BBQ! Glad you are in the neighborhood. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and cole slaw. Both excellent! Next time, however, I will ask them to wrap the sandwich because I couldn’t pick it up and had to eat it with a fork– too juicy!

Super excited roadside gem of bbq. Tried the sampler platter and some loaded mac and cheese. All my items were cold and even the mac and cheese was cottage cheese looking. Truly disappointed. Really wanted something great… wheres the smoke ring?

My teenage son was craving BBQ. He found this food truck listed through Unilocal and boy, am I glad he did. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with the apple-cranberry coleslaw. It was so amazing. The sandwich was huge. I’m really fussy about my BBQ sauces — I do not like sweet nor strong-flavored. This is a mild sauce — perfect in my opinion. Everything on the menu is homemade. The coleslaw is something else — the cranberries and apples in the slaw pair perfectly with the pork. I would love to go down the menu and try each and every item. My son ordered the sampler platter which contained tri-tip, a chicken thigh, a rib, and some pulled pork. He also ordered a side of BBQ beans. He enjoyed the meat immensely — the chicken being his favorite. I wanted to taste his beans but he was not willing to share. The beans, I believe had three types of beans and they looked like meat was added as well. Steve, the pit master, stated that 80% of his menu was gluten-free. His wife, Marianne, has started running specials. Apparently on Mondays, it’s a BBQ meatloaf that’s on special. I definitely want to go on a Monday and try it out. I can’t wait to take my husband there. We will definitely be regulars. The truck is located off of Exit 99 in the hardware store’s parking lot. They are open Monday-Saturday 11 – 6.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. So far all I have had a chance to try was their tri-tip sandwich. But I will go so far as to say that it was the best BBQ I’ve had since I have moved to WA. I’ve tried a few places, and been rather disappointed each time. But as soon as I bit into that sandwich I was in hog heaven, pardon the pun. I look forward to going again and trying the other items on the menu, though I will be tempted by the tri-tip again. The meat was seasoned and smoked to perfection and instead of dousing it in BBQ sauce, it is drizzled with a light sauce that complements the beef just right, but you can taste the quality of the meat… not covered up by a lot of sauce. All in all a great sandwich. So if you are driving down 93rd or are passing 93rd Ave on the 5, consider stopping off here are seeing if the truck is there. As the weather improved I’m sure they will be there daily again. If its raining hard they might not be, but thats understandable. But seriously, go and try.

The most flavorful & juicy BBQ I’ve had… finger licking good! The cornbread is a bit dry. Friendly crew.

BBQ from a truck. There aren’t a lot of great BBQ places in the Olympia area. Ranch House is good, and Dickerson’s will do in a pinch, but I have high hopes for this new truck operating in Tumwater. I’ve visited twice, but only eaten there once. The first time I visited about noon and had a serious hankering for some ribs. The owner, Steve, checked the ribs for me, but wouldn’t sell them because they weren’t just right. Sure, I was disappointed, but you’ve got to respect a guy who will skip a sale because he isn’t happy with the product. On my second visit I had a tri-tip sandwich. The tri-tip was plenty smoky, with generous slices layered together and topped with some kind of creamy seasoned dressing. It was a solid sandwich. But the real treat was when my friend offered me some of the barbecue chicken he’d ordered. It looked beautiful and didn’t disappoint. It was moist and smoky and tender, with a really nice glaze all over. They claim it’s award-winning, and after tasting it, that isn’t hard to believe. They’re serving up the best barbecue chicken I’ve had in Olympia. The chicken was good enough to make me really excited about their ribs — which I haven’t had yet. That will be the real test of whether or not this truck is legit. They can usually be found in the parking lot just south of El Sarape on Capitol Blvd. I think they’re often there Monday through Saturday — they’re closed on Sunday. Just look for the big blue truck parked near the street and the big black smoker chugging away next to it. They don’t offer any seating on site, but there are a couple of tables you can stand at if you don’t mind. I’ve heard that some people bring their own camp chairs.
