Felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. The brisket was way over done. The turkey was bought from a deli… no smoke at all. The bathroom was dirty and smelled like someone was taking their smoke break in there. Way over priced.

I had heard Dickey’s BBQ was decent so I decided to pick up take-out for myself and a friend. I ordered the pulled pork tacos meal. Extremely poor choice — each dried cardboard corn tortilla had a teaspoon of pork and a tablespoon of cabbage with mayonnaise. I nearly choked on the first few bites and threw the remaining tacos in the garbage. I ordered a side of baked beans that tasted like canned beans also went in the garbage. My friend ordered the chicken with 2 sides. The chicken was spongy, obviously cooked from low quality frozen breasts. The green beans were mush and the potato salad was simply mayonnaise and potatoes — all went into the garbage. Too nasty tasting to feed leftover chicken to the dogs. A waste of $ 23.00! I’m only giving it 2 stars because the place was clean and help was friendly. Frankly, take-out crap in bag.

Food way sooooo good and fresh!!! Oh my gosh! We went here for Mother’s Day for the first time and they helped us out and told us what was the best to order(: and it’s pretty well priced! Also free icecream cones !!!

Took my family here for dinner had the ribs they were decent prices were kinda high, baked beans seamed like they were straight from a can, Mac n cheese was dry. Staff was friendly, that was a plus. Still looking for that southern bbq I didn’t find it here. This place is too chain like.

Good food, Great variety. Friendly service, very helpful. Loved that kids eat free with a paid adult in Sunday’s. Wasn’t expecting free ice cream… Bonus!

Love the fact that they deliver comfort food… what a treat! I like getting the ribs, the fact that they smoke their meat daily in house, and the extremely convenient location. The staff is always friendly and the food is always speedy making this a go to dinner option for my family.

The staff are great. They will work with you on food allergies, make things right, and generally be good folks. The food is entirely forgettable. If it were a cafeteria it would be great food. Compared to other local barbeque places it is, at best, average. I enjoy a stop in here if friends want to go but will never go there as my first choice.

Just eww! Also the meat they use comes from a unhealthy source.

Good food. Tried other locations(in CA) that were not as good. But this one is the best out of the chain.

I had the pulled pork sandwich and a side of slaw. It was okay. I usually go to Southbay Dickerson’s or Ranch House, and Dickey’s is going to have to step it up a notch to compete with them. The meat didn’t have a lot of flavor, neither did the sauce. However the service was friendly and fast, and if you need a barbecue fix, this will tide you over.

Nasty. Made me sick, the sauce was insanely sweet, and since when do grease soaked collard greens pass as a vegetable? Cheap, high fructose meat crap.

Today I got the«$ 12 for $ 20» groupon deal online. On top of that, they had a another coupon at the front of dickeys for a «buy 1 bbq sandwich, get 1 free side.» A plate deal comes with 2 sides of your choice so my bf and I ended up getting 3 sides all together(he got the chicken bbq, I got the pork bbq). We were so stuffed and still had some leftover sides. Don’t forget the free soft ice cream! :) It’s not the best in the world or anything but it’s free! Free always makes things taste better hehe. LOVED the bbq beans, they were the best I’ve ever had. yummm. Didn’t like the jalenpeno beans at all though.

Had a hardcore craving for ribs the other day, so I decided to try this place. To the point, I was very dissatisfied. Don’t waste your time or money on this place.

Worst service just ate there not worth the money you spend 10 bucks on a salad there wilted lettuce and hot chicken(I ordered a ceasar salad) that made the lettuce brown on top of it like no dressing at all and a dry roll… worst food ever if I wanted shit food I would have went to Mc donalds. And the«baked potato casserole» is just instant potatoes with fake bacon bits and 3 chives literally and nothing else. Never going back. Oh and FYI just for a rack of ribs is over 30 bucks with no drink or sides.

This place is just awesome! I ordered a pulled pork sammich and some waffle-cut or criss-cut type fries(only not bland and crappy like Chick-Fil-A and not dipped in seasoning like Carl’s Jr.). The meat was amazing, good pickles, the fries are just wonderful(I wish I was eating them right now!), and the barbecue sauce was fantastic! Also, the drinks come in re-useable plastic cups so now I have a yellow Dickey’s cup for my house! Also, the portions were perfect for me, thanks very much, and I’m a fat kid! Life is good when you’re having Dickey’s.

Kept waiting, they’re still out of ribs, etc. Sums up the supermajority of my last visits. Very disappointing.

We really wanted to like this place, but overall this restaurant is a train wreck. The customer service is nonexistent. No smiles, no thank you, just blank stares as they dish out food. The food itself is okay, but most of the sides are laden with salt(so much so that we couldn’t even finish our green beans). For the cost of feeding three adults and one child(45.00), I’d recommend you go somewhere else.

I’ve eaten at the Dickeys in Everett, Bellevue and Auburn and I’ve found at those locations, everything is fairly consistent. We tried the one in Olympia and were very disappointed. Food was good so there is your two stars. But the portion for what you’re paying for is an absolute rip off. For the one meat meal, you are supposed to get two sides. The sides were half portions. The side cups were half full(we were able to fit the two sides of beans in one small cup as both cups were half full). Dickeys Fail !!! That and their prices are a lot higher than the other locations(a medium side is $ 7.25 versus $ 5.25 for the exact same thing). Another comment, no ketchup on the tables, only small ketchup packets(which are a pain if you are dining in). You are almost getting a fast food type feel as opposed to Texas BBQ. Not happy with this location.

What will I remember more than anything after eating here? Small portions of meat and SALTY! The fried onion strings were so salty it was completely inedible after just a few bites. Actually kinda ruined my palate for the rest of the meal. Brisket was ok not too dry and a bit of bark, but the pulled pork was a bit dry and no flavor. The«spicy»(not really) cheddar sausage was cold and such a small portion I was stunned. The 1⁄3 filled cup of Mac n Cheese was edible, but clearly prepacked velveeta goop that comes in TV dinners. BBQ sauces were generic but did the job. Theres much better BBQ to be found in Oly area, so unless you’re just in a hurry for lunch I’d suggest skipping this place.

BBQ is very different to different people. Some people see the smoke ring and think the food is raw. Some like the really smokey flavor. Some think it should be grilled. It’s all what you like. For Olympia, this place is okay. It’s very consistent so you know what you are getting. When I go, I get the ribs, cole slaw, and okra. Sweat tea is pretty good too. Always have had good service.
