Soft bread, perfect amount of condiments, clean restaurant, nice staff. Better than the location downtown, in my opinion. Both locations are great though!

They do sandwiches well. The quality is consistent. They use better ingredients than Subway. If you want to customize your sandwich you will probably be disappointed. If you want a good grinder, well prepared, in a clean and usually quick environment, you’ll be very happy.

The first bite was good but all the ones to follow were not. The sub its self is very large but the bread was nothing special and the toppings reminded me of sub way nothing fresh about it my cucumbers were soggy it was almost as if they were frozen the night before and then defrosted they had a weird taste to them. Let me be honest by saying I was hung over as shit from the game last night so usually anything I eat is amazing and would get a 5 star review this sub however was crap sorry for the wording still in the lazy state of dehydration. My husband however was in a perfect state of mind and said his sandwich was nothing to wright home about either. All I’m saying is if u want a healthier meal in the form of a sandwich drive 5 more minutes up the road and go to 5th on 4th their food can not be beat.

Sandwiches are great but the service is sub par. We forgot to get our sandwich toasted and it took and act if God to convince them to fix it for us. And the still charged me the 46 cents which I had to put on my debit. Where is the service???

1st time going here was a really great experience! We ordered two whole hot sandwiches, that they do cut in half. We switched half’s and began our treat of warm soft bread and fresh crunchy veggies. I will say we both needed to add mayo to our BLT, but the Philly steak was perfect to us. The meat was not rough or chewy, it was even flavorful enough to eat alone. We will be back to try more subs! Also we got out food pretty fast even though there was a line and we ate there we were not there for longer than 30 mins. There were all ages and plenty of seats, also with an outside area, pets were welcome. :) We spent about $ 20 not bad a few hours later and we are still full talking about what are getting next time.

The best sandwiched ever! Fresh baked bread everyday and everything is so fresh! The staff is always fast and efficient and the place is always clean! Great place to take people who’ve never been there!

Went there for dinner earlier tonight and decided to try a cheesesteak and small chili. The portion sizes are pretty good for the price, but the food itself was just very bland. The bread was the best part of the sandwich — soft and fresh. However, the sandwich itself was bland and underseasoned. The chili was disappointing as well — it had the makings of a good chili with a good amount of ground beef, but noticeably tasted of tomato paste and sugar. I wouldn’t go out of my way to avoid this place in the future, but I’m not likely to make a special trip here either.

first time walked in, was a busy saturday. the was no direct order on the lines to the cashier. It was pretty busy and people were going from the register to the back and so forth not showing who was a cashier. Finally got an order after a couple left frustrated. Took a seat and noticed the staff being so befuddled by their work and just creating complications with orders. Took a good 25 minutes to get our simple order of two subs which were good portion but mediocre tastw. I would not recommend this sandwich shop to anyone, just go to the subway down the street and save your time.

Meconi’s subs(3 locations) are a locally owned sandwich shop. They are, without question, the best in the area. While their turkey sandwich is my personal favorite, I can honestly say I’ve ever had a sandwich there that was less than outstanding. If you want a truly fresh and delicious sandwich, try Meconi’s. My only negative for them is if at all possible avoid popular times to go there, especially lunch. The lines are long and it’s fairly loud from the mass of people you can expect.

I’m new to Unilocal but I really believe in the power of a positive review and I just have to say that I always get the best service and food when I go to Meconi’s. I lived out of state for 10 years and every time I came to visit I would have to make Meconi’s one of my stops! A+ to them!

Seriously cannot stand this place. The only reason I come here occasionally is because my son likes it. I ordered him a turkey cheddar with olives(literally nothing else) and they charged me an extra 1.02 for the olives even though he didn’t get anything else that comes with the sandwich(lettuce veggies etc). Just a rip off. Service is lackadaisical as well. 8.81 for a sub with three ingredients is absurd. Jimmy johns — wallys — or 5th on 4th heck even subway from now on.

I’ve been to every Meconi’s location, and this one is just like all of the others… great! This location is less busy than the others, due to the location in Tumwater. I always order the go-to whole Italian, which is big enough to share with another person! The service is quick, the people are personable, and the subs are freaking amazing! I wish they had a location up in Seattle, so I can satisfy my Meconi cravings!

Went in to get a gluten free sandwich for my 6&8 year olds. I ordered a whole sandwich and asked them to hold the pepperoni & onions on one side. No, they can’t do that. Seems silly since my sandwich came out completely separate and in two wrappers. My mom paid for bacon that was written on her sandwich and even called out when it was done, but was not there. Aside from that, the best gluten free sandwich bread I’ve ever tasted.

Pretty plain, and really no flavor. The bread is too big and soft with absolutely no flavor(I know, most Americans think bread has no flavor anyway). While the ingredients seemed fresh, it was perplexing how it was so devoid of any flavor. I really just tasted a big white chunk of blah bread while I was eating the sandwich. And the prices are a bit high for this level of food. Please, find a way to put some flavor into your sandwiches. Whether it be seasonings or some oil/vinegar toppings you NEED to do something. Change the bread too — soft doesn’t mean fresh. For all the would be customers, go to Subway, even though it is not great it will be much better than this.

The bread was very fresh, and the sandwiches were delicious the few times I went in. The service was also fine. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews that Meconi’s has received. My experiences there have made this one of my go-to places for lunch in the area.

Look, this may not be the best sandwich place you have ever been to, but for food in Tumwater it is by far at the top of the list. Everything is fresh, it’s clean, they are friendly and get it right. If they made mistakes for others’ orders, it’s sad but we have been many times and not once have had any issue with either take in or eat out. Heck, I call orders in from the road 5 minutes away and by the time I get there they are ready to go. The bread is big but not dense, it’s cooked perfectly. The meats are fresh and they have plenty of options. Their typical toppings are great, I get without onions and tomatoes so I can’t comment on those but the lettuce is fresh and crisp and the seasonings are my favorite.
