Thompson’s Furniture

This store is absolutely amazing and beautiful! I have been passing this business up for the last three years up until I finally pulled in oneday with my husband to check it out and to my suprise it is a ALOT bigger than what it appears to be from the outside. It even has a second story floor. What appears to be a little house in the front is a very long house that goes on and on all the way into the back.
If your looking for that perfect holiday gift this is the perfect store. Prices are very reasonable. The displays are wonderful and this store sells everything from costume jewelry, to furniture, interior design fabrics, UW cooking seasonings, Handmade Soaps, Children items, Scarfs, Hats, kitchen cooking items and Outdoor furniture. Alot of everything but many of the things here are what you would not be able to find in a big department store or even big furniture liquidation store.
This store will surprise you as it did with me and my spouse. We were both impressed and spent a good hour in there browsing around and I even picked up a very cute Owl Bling Ring in there something that I probably would not have been able to find at the Westfield Mall stores.
This is a wonderful beautiful store five stars hands down!

I wish I could do ZERO stars!
We were on the hunt for outdoor furniture today and my mom suggested we stop by here. The sign on the door said open at noon… five minutes later we were STILL standing outside waiting for them to open the store. There were 2 women sitting in the store, not in any hurry to open. My mom motioned to them ‘are you going to open?’ But to no surprise, they totally ignored her. Really is that how you run a business? Finally at 12:10 we left, with a sour taste in our mouths not wanting to spend a dime in there. I wonder if the owner of the business has any idea that the women he pays to WORK and serve customers are doing NO such thing. I can not believe someone in customer service would behave in such a way, especially with the economy the way it is. They should be thankful to have jobs, and realize the customers are the ones paying their paychecks… something they should think about when turning customers away!

Love this place. Just south of Olympia, it is worth a visit if you are looking for unique decorations for your house, the holidays, gifts or furniture. My sister in law was a Thompson’s junkie and converted the rest of us. Staff is very friendly and will special order anything you need. Nice linens, candles, kitchen stuff and cute baby gifts.
