Driving through the Adirondacks, we couldn’t find too many places reviewed on Unilocal so took a chance on the Red Top Inn.
The owners were very friendly, rate was very reasonable (about $ 50 for the night) and we stayed in the «animal cottages» with our cat. The room was spartan but functional with a great lakeview. The only downside was finding a flea on the cat; he is treated with flea-​preventive so it didn’t concern me too much but other bug-​scared folks might not like it! Anyway, I guess that’s why it’s sensible to have separate rooms away from the hotel for people with animals!
Overall, great place, economical, friendly.
