Applebee’s

We will never go back.
Walked in and the girl with purple hair didn’t even smile or say hello — just looked at me and waited for me to say hello first. Then we asked for a table where we could see the Warriors game and she said «I think a booth would work. Can I get a name»? There were 2 open booths and waited over 5 minutes to be seated without an explanation. Then we only got forks, no knives, with our set ups.
DO NOT order margaritas there. The mix was just plain NASTY and they didn’t get my husband’s drink order correct — they put salt on the rim and he ordered without salt. He then got coffee which he said was bad.
My husband got the ribs. He said they were well cooked but there wasn’t much meat on the full rack of ribs — he estimated about 4 oz of meat on a $ 20+ plate of food. He complained he only got 4 pieces of roasted veggies in his side. I got the pork chop, which was seasoned well and had grill marks on half of the chop. The flavor was fine, but the chop was horribly over-​cooked and dry, dry dry. My dogs loved it.
Service was fair — definitely not good. We had a $ 75 meal that was about a 3 on a scale of 1 – 10. Oh — and we couldn’t see the game very well either.

I’ll never go to another applebees again! First our server at this Turlock location was really rude… my brother asked for a drink menu and she said its not happy hour! Like you can only drink alcoholic beverages during happy hour! Smh! And then we went to order our usual meal which are riblets platters and we get told that they no longer carry them! Their whole menu is changed!

My Uncle comes from San Diego every year for his birthday. His choice of place to eat is always Applebee’s. This is the second year in a row that the staff here has forgotten even after being reminded. Last year at the last minute after a 3^rd reminder they brought him a little dessert. Tonight we left with no acknowledgement even after letting the person who seated us know who said she would tell our server. She didn’t tell our server but we reminded him 2 times. It is his 81^st birthday and the last birthday we will spend at Applebee’s.

Immediately was greeted by Tessa at the door. She got us sat as soon as a table was available. While waiting (only the few minutes) she made jokes and kept the energy alive in the waiting area. I will definitely be coming back!

Service was good. Greeted and seated quickly. Waitress was prompt and friendly. Ordered the salmon. Was brought in a reasonable time. Did not care for the veggies. Steamed zucchini and spinach. Salmon was dry and to salty.
I will return and try something different.

Right now I am obsessed with the spicy wonton tacos. I eat them way to much. So I had a bad craving for them so I called with an order for the carside to go. My husband had ordered the riblets platter so I checked to make sure everything was there. Nope, his coleslaw was not in the bag. So he called and the waitress brought it out to us. It was a little tiny coleslaw probably maybe an eight of a cup. Last time he had it he had a big sized coleslaw. So we get home with the food and my wontons tacos are barely filled with any chicken or coleslaw. I usually have the stuff falling out with every bite. The worst part aside from being cold was they were not spicy at all. I thought they were called «spicy» wonton tacos. My husband had french fries with his order and they were also cold.
I think my obsession with the tacos is over now thanks to the crappy food.

Amazing appetizers mozzarella sticks, wings, fries and beer? And all of it half off? Yaaaaas! Friendly staff Def coming again

Literally the worst place to go ever. It was the only place open in Turlock after 10 so we gave it a chance and immediately regretted it. The food was cold and you could tell it was poor quality freezer food, the fries were oversalted and soggy and the service was horrible. NEVER going to an applebee’s ever again.

Ordered appetizers, ordered drinks, ordered food.
Got drinks, got food. No appetizer ! Upon questions, waiter apologized and offered to bring appetizers. No. Thats not how it works.

Don’t go there. Worst service ever hands down! Our server was too busy flirting to wait on us. We had to ask the hostess to take our order and to refill our drinks. Mind you, our server only had one other table to wait on, so she clearly wasn’t busy. Our order also came out wrong. It was mind boggling how terrible our service was. I will never go back to this Applebee’s again.

Came in with a party of 15. Only 1 server was assigned to the party. Restaurant wasn’t busy at all. so there’s no reason why service should’ve been so slow.

The four stars is definately for the food! If I could give individual stars I would.
While we were finishing eating and wrapping up our dinner, the three hostess standing up front one of which Kaitlan definately need new jobs! They stood and talked loudly next to our table complaining about being asked simple tasks and about fellow coworkers. This put a negative aspect on the vibe after having great food… maybe you three should find jobs you actually enjoy so you dont make others around you feel uncomfortable.

Food here sucks. Bland ribs and my wives potatoes were cold. How do you make cold potatoes and send them out like that?
The manager did buy us desert but the food quality is poor. I will skip this place next time.

Applebee’s is always good but this was our first time here in Turlock and it was so great. From the service to the food, we ordered the sliders for appetizers and they were delicious, strawberry lemonade was amazing even the tea was great!

Appetizers half off and beers half off! It’s a great deal. We ordered the artichoke dip and it was not warm. While snacking on the chips and the cold dip, we were enjoying their beers! They have a variety and it’s pretty cheap! The wings and shrimp were tasty but not the best! Definitely recommend happy hour deals… offered during the day 3−6pm Monday –Saturday & 10-​closing every night.
The atmosphere is great! They have music and show all the games at their bar. It’s a lively environment and it’s open late!
In the end we would like to rename Applebee’s to Applebeer’s

Pretty disappointed with our experience last night.
We waited about 45 minutes to be seated because apparently our name got crossed off the list.
When we finally seated I ordered a margarita with extra salt on the rim. When I got my glass there was salt on maybe a ¼ of the rim. I asked our server if he could get more salt on it, he brought it back with salt all over the actual glass, not just the rim.
Even our food wasn’t the best. I had a big lettuce butt in my salad.
We’ll be going to the Modesto establishment from now on.

I ran into 5 of my 19 year old students with beers an shots in the bar? They are 19? Last I knew of drinking age was 21. I have a 18 year old son & if I knew he was being served at a corporate restaurant I would be FURIOUS !!! Other than the level of unprofessional alcohol handling. The food was all wrong when we got it. I said no mayo and got extra? My husband is lactose intolerant and they left the cheese. The server was on her phone 80% of the time. Just a bit put off by the establishment.

Service sucks! Bartender is too busy chatting it up! And is rude when we ask for something. I mean we are paying for our food of course we want it the right way. Doesn’t even check on you to see if you need anything unless she knows you. When our food came out, we asked the lady who brought it out for ranch and blu cheese. She never came back, but Instead was in her phone u the bathroom. And then our food wasn’t cooked the right way. I’m never the one to complain but if the service was good I would get over the food being not so good I mean it is Applebee’s. But service sucks. Barley any good beers on tap. Turlock needs a Better late night spot.

We headed over here because the Taqueria Maria #3 was out of meat and rice.
I ordered the riblet basket. I didn’t want the full riblet portion, so I liked being able to order a little less food. The ribs were pretty good. Not so tender that they fall off the bone good, but still very tasty. Most of the fries I ate were hot and crispy. But I did find one that needed to be put back in the fryer, I could tell when I bit into it.
Our server was great, brought refills for our sodas without us even having to ask and kept them coming.

The only reason im rating this as a two-​star is for our waitress Katrina.
Other than that my chicken was dry rice was hard as a rock & salad was brown.
Boo for the food and shame on them. Katrina was understanding and sweet the entire time. Hopefully they clean up their act
