We were greeted & seated fairly fast. Our breakfast took over 30minutes and we were never asked if we needed a refill on our drinks. Overall the food was not the best and our potatoes were not cooked right. Not sure if we would go there again. It was a disappointment.

They have a coupon for buy one lunch &2 drinks get one free, I asked the waitress before ordering it was for a kids meal also, she says«probably I don’t know you can ask the cashier» my son and I ate then went to pay, the manager was the cashier, took the coupon and looked at it for a minute then said«you can’t use this for a kids meal, gave it back and said come back another time».I told him keep it I’m not coming back. Food wasn’t bad but not worth the price, would have been worth the buy one get one price.

We come about once every few months, usually everything is good but today it was the opposite waited 20 min. for someone to take our order and 30 min to get our food. The biggest disappointment was the food. The portion size looked to be about half than usual. I ordered pancakes and they were smaller than McDonald’s hot cakes! My son ordered 3 scrambled eggs and a slice of ham, it looked more like 3 quail eggs and a slice of grilled deli ham. I wasn’t happy even with $ 5 off the check. Time to cross this place off my list for breakfast choices.

Hungry for breakfast? Want great tasting food and a great selection? Then I suggest you find another place to stop. Clean? Yes. Service? Good. Location? Easy. Food Quality? Very Poor. Overall? We will not go back. The food(all examples the two of us had) tasted as if cooked on a burnt cooktop, with burnt oil. We couldn’t eat what was brought to us. They were quick to offer to reduce the bill, which made me feel as if dissatisfaction was the norm at this place. Find another spot — in fact, go right across the street(kitty-cornered) and visit the Hot Rod Café. But go hungry!!!

Food was just OK, but for price could have been better & at least a little more food. Plates very plain doesn’t make food look very appetizing. Waitress were friendly & place appeared clean. But I won’t be going back again. I could have made better meals @ home, but sometimes u just wanna be served instead of always being the cook & server yourself.

We were headed to Bass Lake for camping and were starving for an old-fashioned breakfast. We stopped into the Turlock branch of the chain and had a big meal. It’s standard American food. The crowd was a little odd; I don’t like that«we’re in Kansas now» feel we get when we leave the Bay Area for Central Cali. Our server disappeared for minutes at a time so we waited for to order, for drink refills, for the check.

Service was good. Food wasn’t that great. Owner cringed when I showed a coupon from a text offer that was on THETABLE! Cheap bastard. Even had the waitress make sure we would be deleting that offer

Nice décor, friendly staff, mediocre food. The place was really nicely decorated, lots of nostalgic gizmos. The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. The food was kind of greasy and lacked seasoning. Potato skins in the mashed potatoes is a real turn off for me. Whoever thought of that idea and made it trendy should be tarred and feathered. The country gravy was pretty much flavorless. Was there with friends and family which made it bearable

We were on our way home from staying the weekend at the in-laws when we decided to go have breakfast. Apparently they made an impression on my 6 year old, because he suggested to go there because«Papa» took him there. It’s a good sign to see a restaurant with a lot of patrons. They sat us down fairly quickly upon our arrival. They had a lot to choose from besides their specials. I ordered a «Denver» style omelet it was delicious. I even tried the«Chili Cheese» Omelet my wife made. My breakfast came with a side of Biscuits n Gravy. I’m not really a fan of Biscuits n Gravy, but their biscuit was nice and hot and the Gravy was pretty tasty as well. This non Biscuits n Gravy eating guy would order that again. Their chili was good. My next visit to the in-laws will include a stop at perko’s

We stopped here b/c we were hungery and it was right off the highway. I expected it to be filled with travelers/tourists, but most of the people seemed to be retired locals who knew the waitresses by name. The tables and seats were falling apart, but I heard someone mention it was all going to be refurbished in the next couple weeks. The food was your typical«upscale» diner-type food. My turkey sandwich tasted like something someone’s mom would have made them for lunch, but their harvest vegtable soup(which I wished I had saved for last) was very good.

I wrote a review on this restaurant a few weeks ago and got a FTR for it. I wish to apologize to the person who actually wrote the very first review. I didn’t know the real address so just listed W. Main St. Next time i will do more research. My earlier review has been removed by me. And yes I did eat here and it was very good along with some of the best service I have had in a long time.

Ok… let’s face it… this is not a fine dining 5 star experience. If you’re expecting amazing quality then don’t bother. But if all you’re really looking for is a decent breakfast, good friendly service in a clean and hospitable environment then give this place a shot. It’s better than Denny’s or Ihop and the employees are great! They actually smile here! I take my parents here on an occasional Sunday for a bite to eat. They keep the fresh coffee coming and are super attentive. My daughter orders the pancakes and she gets a kick out of the happy faces that the cook makes with her bacon and ham. My food is always hot and comes to my table quickly. I’ve never had a problem here with long wait times or bad food. It’s usually pretty busy but always calm enough for me to have a nice conversation over breakfast with my parents. The prices are more than reasonable for what you get. I enjoy coming here because there are never any surprises or disappointments.
