Mike does a fantastic job and is fast. My daughter has had all 5 done by him. They all look great and she smiles looking at each one-​the true test. Royal Dagger is the best.

I’m from San Francisco and was looking for good quality artists here in the Valley. Was originally attracted to Mike’s shop because the environment, interiors, and ambiance are on point. Fast forward to him being completely unprofessional. For one, he was drinking whiskey and smoking weed before and during the session. I’m all for both of those things but not while you’re on the job and needling in a design for life! Secondly, he didn’t listen to what I wanted and made the colors completely different from what I wanted. He made my piece a lot bigger than what I wanted. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. And to top it all off he said I could never come back to the shop. I’m truly sad and I highly dislike my arm piece :(Now I have to get this huge piece covered up somehow? Thank you Mike!

After just moving to Turlock, and having an artist at our old town, I was nervous about where to go now. There are many, many shops in Turlock too. Thankfully a friend recommended Royal Dagger and either Mike or Mark. When I walked in I was greeted by a very nice guy who turned out to be co-​owner, Mike. I showed him my ideas, he drew up a beautiful piece, and a few days later gave me the most beautiful tattoo I could ask for! He is a very down to earth guy and has a great shop with awesome vibes! He let me come in early when the shop was closed to work around my schedule, turned on some sweet tunes to relax me, and away he went. He was so mindful of my concerns and listened to me ramble =) Thanks so much Mike, I love my tattoo so much. We will be back and are referring you to anyone who asks!!! Couldnt be happier.

I just gotta say that Mike is awesome! Great artist, great guy. He did a quarter sleeve outline in less than an hour and a half and that includes my smoke break! I am going back tomorrow to do the color and can’t wait!!!

Now keep in mind I didn’t actually get a tattoo because I was just inquiring about it, but the service I received from Mike was awesome. He told me anything you need to know and the precautions he takes to make sure everything turns out perfect. I saw some of his work which is quite impressive and will probably come back to Royal Dagger when the time comes.
