Sizzler

We went to Sizzlers today with my folks. Service was polite but minimal. Not one offer of a drink refill during the entire meal, bottom of one of our steaks was burned. Salad bar was unsupervised. While we watched, a girl (maybe 10 or 11 — old enough to know better) accompanied by an adult proceeded to reach into various salad bar dishes WITH HER FINGERS, pick items up, put them back into the dish & graze (chopped ham, a few fruit dishes). Never again will I voluntarily go back — avoid the salad bar. Unsupervised salad bar is unsanitary & apparently some adults don’t «Adult» very well.

My parents came into sizzler on Father’s Day around 3:30. They got the THE WORST SERVICE EVER AND DIDNT EVER EVEN GET AN APOLOGY. I’m their daughter and also a server. I understand it was a very busy day for us all. But no father should have that type of service on their day.
The server went to the table once and didn’t introduce herself got the drinks. When she came back to get their order my father explained it in English. She said she knew Spanish also so they explained what they wanted in Spanish too. Therefore my parents explained their order twice and it still came out wrong.
They both ordered the plate with shrimp, rips, and steak. One with French fries and one with mashed potatoes. Both of them were supposed to come with salads and bread.
My parents only got one plate, never got the salads or bread. They went through asking 3 other servers for bread and were ignored. Until a family friend Yesenia got them the bread. The manager finally came over and brought them another plate. And never did a table touch. Still after all of this the server never came to the table. But was still in her section making table touches around my parents ignoring or avoiding them.
Someone else closed out the tab. And my father had a horrible Father’s Day. They weren’t going to leave a tip after everything. But my mother knows how hard I work as a server and still found generosity to leave something for that horrible server.
It was Father’s Day and I am angry my dad couldn’t been treated better but even more because no one ever even apologized. The manager if anything could’ve treated my parents better also. Managers are supposed to do table touches more often the tables that the servers screw up on. I’m a server at an extremely busy restaurant, trust me I know how everything works.
This service was beyond unacceptable, therefore I’ve already made a call to corporate.

My hubby loves Sizzler.
Me not so much.
But I must say that this is by far, the nicest one I have ever been in.

Sat down to eat out lunch with some of my co-​workers, found a machine bolt in the taco meat, manager wasn’t too concerned took more than 5 minutes for him to show up and talk to us, only comped 1 meal in stead of everyone’s, won’t be back

We went to visit for my birthday and I was craving a killer salad so we chose sizzler mostly because of the all u can eat salad bar, MISTAKE… ewwwww is all I can say … Their food isn’t at temp… The wedges were raw and cold, I sent back my baked potatoe Cuz it was literally cold inside. Another thing is our dinner came out so fast like I question whether it was even cooked fresh… The steak was Luke warm the food was just disappointing… Ugghh worst frigin bday meal ever… And to top it off I asked for more toast and never got it. I mean for 3 people eating @70.00 bill I could have went ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAT AMOUNT and yuck… Then I did the survey get a call back from a guy that was sarcastic and didn’t really try to make it better… Whatever. Never again

I stop at this sizzler everytime i come to California cleanest nicest one i have ever been too. The food is fresh and delicious… yummy pale friendly too

This place was good, had decided to go here with the wife because we were in the area, ordered the lobster steak meal. The lobster was really good the steak was also cooked to my likings the mashed potatoes had a weird consistency which I really didn’t care for the Texas bread was good. The service was whatever had to locate a server multiple times to get a couple of items not found on the table like A1. Other then that it was decent not somewhere I would go to on the regular or anytime soon.

I am giving them 1 star only because after standing in line with a very large group they finally sat us in the back of the restaurant. I had called earlier to ask if they could help us with seating at 6:30, the manager said no problem. We were doing a presentation to our son, he was promoted to Captain at his FD and was assured that there was no problem it would be available when we hot there. Arrived early and still had to wait over an hour while the waitresses her seating people where we were to be at. NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR A LARGE CROWD. So I will not be giving them my business anymore. Good bye Sizzler, there are alot other restaurants that will accommodate us.

Tonight was just perfect. I took a friend to the Sizzler for his birthday dinner and we had a fabulous time. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the ambiance was just right. Sizzler!

This Sizzler is beautiful. Love the look and energy. Like a really fancy upscale restaurant. Besides that, had an amazing steak dinner. What a bargain. Added the salad bar which had a ton of options. I went kinda healthy so I had room for dessert also on the salad bar. Hat chocolate cake pudding thing was the bomb. Friendly staff too. All in all a great place to stop if you want a steak and all the goodies without that steakhouse price and attitude

Don’t frequently go to Sizzlers however I LOVED my last visit at the Turlock location today in the afternoon. The prices for the food we got were reasonable and the salad bar looked really appetizing compared to other «buffet style» places we have gone that do not look or taste as good. The seasoning and proportion sizes were to our liking and both me and my mom really loved our meal. Our waitress was also very lovely and helpful I think her name was Yadira but not 100% sure. We will definitely be going back do enjoy another meal there soon! :)

A group of us women stopped in for dinner and I am so glad we did. I had the 6 oz steak & ½ dozen shrimp, sauteed mushrooms & steamed vegetables. Oh my gosh! Everything was so good! Oh yes, and the bread too, yum yum. The other women loved their meals too. I brought some home. My mouth wanted more but my stomach was full. This was my first time here and definitely will not be my last. Loved it!

The salad bar is pricey but has good selections. The BBC mango salad should be on the menu. ADD a chicken breast and it would be great!

My mother is 87 and had Alzheimers she is picky about what she eats and only wants to eat the same things! The manager let her get the salad bar and sliced an avocado for her and gave her a baked potato! We always thought this was an exceptionally great Sizzler now I can’t praise it enough! Thanks for being thoughtful and kind!

Horrible. It started with them seating my friend and I in a bad table by the exist where no server is seen. They got our drinks very late! I asked in the beginning if they can bring a lil desert for my friends bday they never arrived with it. I only saw the server twice. When she gave us our drinks and food.

My mother decided to take my wife and I here for dinner and holy crap did we regret it.
For starters the woman that took our order at the register had an issue and had to reenter our order into the register. On the surface, this mistake doesn’t seem like a big deal, but this little accident started a chain reaction of poor customer service. It’s also important to note that the woman at the register asked my wife what she would like and my wife order a shrimp plate with the salad bar. The woman said okay and then asked if anyone else in our party wanted the salad bar as well. We all declined, except, of course, my wife.
Once we were shown to our table, we were told that we could get our salad bar and our drink order was taken. My wife got up and went and loaded up at the salad bar. When she returned she began to eat her salad as she fended me off as I attempted to steal her salad toppings. All of a sudden the waitress comes over to us and asks my wife what she was doing with a salad. My wife said that she ordered the salad bar. The waitress told us that it was not on our receipt and that she should not have had the salad bar. The waitress went off to talk to the manager. She came back and said that nobody heard us order the salad bar and that my wife should not have taken it without paying for it. I asked to speak to her manager.
When I spoke to the manager, he began with the customer is always wrong attitude, but he reversed course when I told him that his employee accused my wife of theft. I asked him if he would appreciate someone accusing his wife of the same thing. He of course said no. After a little more back and forth the manager decided to give us the salad bar for free. (We weren’t hoping for this by the way. We offered to pay before the waitress told my wife she stole it.)
Next, our food came out. Everyone was brought their order except me. I ordered a steak with steamed brocoli on the side. About 5 minutes after everyone else, I was brought a cheeseburger and fries. I told the waitress that this wasn’t what I ordered. She said it’s what the receipt said, but when she checked… guess what??? It said I ordered steak and steamed brocoli. Our waitress then walked off in a huff to correct the order. Literally 4 – 5 mintues later, she brought me a steak. She forgot the brocoli, but that was brought out to me after I asked another waitress for it. When our waitress did bring the steamed brocoli, it was raw.
The food was forgettable. Flavors were on the salty side and not very appealing. The services was terrible. Maybe a bad day, maybe not, but if you read my other reviews you should be able to tell that customer service is a big deal to me.
We’re not going to be visiting again.

I loved my meal. $ 14.99 plus tax got me a 6 oz sirloin steak and endless salad bar. The best part was definitely the salad bar. I love that they offer field greens, spinach and romaine lettuce. All the leaves were fresh and very plump looking. I had three plates of salad. My server also gave me cheese bread, which I used to construct a sandwich with carnitas and lettuce.
When my steak arrived, my server asked me to cut into it to check if it was cooked to my liking. I ordered my steak done medium, which has just a hint of pink in the center but was technically cooked throughout. It was tender enough. I concluded my meal with watermelon and fresh pineapple. All the fruit was super fresh and sweet.
I’m glad I had my lunch here.

Go there often for the salad bar, it is always fresh and well stocked. The staff is attentive and on point delivering meals with a smile. Back to the salad bar where else can you get a salad bar like this for $ 11.99? The salad bar has the usual fair for a salad bar but the extras are great. From soup to nuts you will find it there. The chicken soup is tremendous and I always start with that. I drive all the way from Gustine for the salad bar. Price, selection and service is is what you will find here.

Sizzler always has a great salad bar and never disappoints. Everything was fresh when we got there. I also had their Malibu chicken with fries and it was delicious as always. My husband usually only gets the salad bar since he loves their wings. We will always be going to sizzlers when the mood strikes. Good place.

I think the best deal for this restaurant is their AYCE salad bar. Don’t let the «salad» part fool you. Although they do have an extensive salad (greens, veggies, etc), they also have a nice selection of hot foods. This included a make your own taco station, fried chicken, potato wedges and a few different types of soup. In addition they also have a variety of pasta salads. You also get access to some good deserts.
However, the best part of this is the AYCE CARNITAS at the taco station. This by itself makes it the best deal, I can’t think of any other place that offers some very good tasting carnitas at such a cheap price.
During another visit, I had a steak dinner. The it was steak and potato salad. It was about $ 18 if I can recall, however, thought the steak was rather small. From then on I get the salad bar when I com here. I suggest you try it out once.
