Good atmosphere for date night or courting clients. I had a burger at the bar it was lovely. Second time brought my date back and had drinks and dinner on the patio. Drinks were good but the bar messed up and brought the food before the first set of drinks, we would have drank more, the server knew that, he comped us a drink, we appreciated and tipped on that great service. Food, salad fresh dressing made in house. I had the chicken picatta, good. the mashed potatoes no good. I think they also use grass fed beef or free range. Good quality. we will be back

Went to Table 26 for dinner on Friday and sat in the bar area, our server was Christina and she was excellent. She gave good recommendations and was very attentive. She suggested the risotto and Mac and Cheese and we loved them. I highly recommend sitting in the bar and requesting Christina’s section. I will be back.

Went to dinner tonight with some friends. They do not have any vegan options on their menu, but the chef said he would be happy to make me a vegan dish. It was absolutely delicious! I am so happy I came here and thank you again to the chef for his wonderful vegan creation!

Five stars for the house manager!(?) — I think she was the house manager, but I never got her title — regardless, she classy, pleasant, and because of her I will give them a second chance in the near future. Here is how our story unfolds — As the three of us were seated we requested a booster seat for our daughter; hostess forgot to bring it, had to ask another staff member. When our waitress came over to introduce herself and great us, she was pleasant, timely but not overly bothersome… and she really tried overall to provide us with good service. The disappointment was how my steak was cooked. It was a nice size steak for the price point(really!), more than an inch thick, but I ordered it cooked ‘medium’ and it came out still bleeding with a serious sear on the outside. IMHO, low and slow is best for thick cut pieces of beef unless you are going to butterfly them. Waitress offered to have it returned to the kitchen, I politely declined(personal rule, I never return the food I plan to eat) but told her I planned to take it home and cook it up for lunch the next day so, no worries really. She must have relayed this to the house manager who came over and offered again to fix it. When I declined, she immediately offered to remove it from our bill. I let her know I wanted the hunk of meat to go still and she said no problem, and still removed my entrée form our bill — I count that as good service and excellent management! Because the are trying to get it right, I’ll come back again for a second try, but likely avoid ordering a steak. Stay tuned for a check in later this month!

Was greeted and helped by Jennifer!!! She helped us find a table. It was quiet busy on a Friday night. She even cleaned our table and seated us in the bar. She went beyond what she had to and even went and made and our drinks. I was very impressed with her. She gave a drink menu and also expland a few specialtys. Also the food was amazing we will be back. YUMMO High five to Jennifer. Which I found out is the manager!!! #goodmanagement

This is THE best eatery in town. Every dish on the menu is off the chain! This is my favorite hangout. Spend a lot of time eating here. Their food and service is impeccable. If you’re just trying to eat a quick lunch during work or planning a night out, Table 26 will make sure your dining experience is extraordinary.

WOW! Gluten friendly and then some! The food and service is fantastic! As a gluten free person — you feel like this restaurant will take care of you in the most delicious way! I can’t say enough for the mushroom risotto! Pair this rich dish with a nice glass of red wine and you will feel like a pampered guest! Their meeting room is also a nice treat! A Fantastic place to go in Turlock!!!

It’s by no means a stretch to say that the Modesto area is lacking in good restaurants. So Table 26 was a totally pleasant surprise. The space has the feel of a very laid back supper club or a steakhouse. The dark beamed high ceiling transported me out of the area for sure. In addition to offering higher quality dining in the Central Valley, this kitchen is on fire. Seriously, our entrees were ready in what felt like 5 minutes. The cod w the fava beans & chorizo risotto was just fabulous. Full of robust flavors, perfectly cooked, zesty, & lightly rich. Lightly rich. An oxymoron, I know. But totally befitting this dish. The ahi tuna was fresh & the cuts of ahi were generous, but the cod was the superior dish. No room for dessert, & this was probably a mistake. If the entrees are any indication, dessert here won’t disappoint. Service was great. From hostess to the(multiple) waiters, there were a lot of smiles & a lot of check-ins. Great spot. 4 stars.

My first visit to Table 26 for dinner, I’ve been here for lunch twice already. We ate semi-family style. People ordered their own appetizers and entrees, and shared bites of their plates with others to sample. I got to taste the Arancini(risotto spheres stuffed with smoked mozzarella and Romano served atop San Marzano tomato sauce with a pesto drizzle) and the Linguica Bites(locally made linguica served with stone ground mustard, fresh grape tomatoes and pepperoncini peppers). The Arancini was crispy on the outside as advertised. It was nice and cheesy on the inside. The Arancini reminded of a round, fried mozzarella stick, only better. I love Linguica and the Linguica Bites did not disappoint. Outstanding, I had to stop at one slice to save room for dinner. One of the few New Year’s resolutions I have been able to keep is to only come to Table 26 on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Why, you ask? Because they only serve clam chowder on those three days. The chowder has bacon in it. Everything is better with bacon! It’s nice and creamy, and I order it with every meal. I had the Gumbo(a smoky combination of Cajun roasted Chicken, Smoked Andouille Sausage, Fresh Thyme, and fresh vegetables simmered in a dark roux over steamed rice and garlic bread). It was wonderful. Lots of tasty sausage and chicken. The garlic bread was good, but could have been better. I just wished for a larger portion of rice. Our server was very nice, and service was excellent.

Table 26 is a very nice, trendy and clean restaurant. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We both enjoyed the Korean Chicken Salad. This delicious salad had Napa Cabbage, Romaine, Red Bell Pepper, Cilantro, Almonds, Red Onions, Mandarin Oranges, Brocolini, Kim Chi, Crispy Noodles & Spicy Chicken in a Toasted Sesame Vinaigrette. The serving size was abundant! Great value for the money! The service was excellent! We will definitely return for another meal — perhaps dinner.

Goodness, where do I begin? I came in here with a date about a month ago. I’ve been meaning to visit this restaurant since it had opened, with high expectations. Only to be disappointed and leaving with zero chances of returning. To start things off: The wine list. Honestly, I feel like it could do much better. Nothing really popped while looking at it. I ordered a glass. Maybe it’s just me? But I’d love to have the glass poured at my table. Even to just get a quick look at what I’m drinking from the bottle. Also, it tasted a bit past it’s Aprils. Could’ve opened a new one? Who knows. The meals. Like 90% of all other restaurants bring bread and butter to the table. I’m not really a big fan of bread that hasn’t been cut thoroughly. And the butter was personal portioned butter… yeah the stuff in the gold aluminium foils! How dare you? For dinner? We had the Grilled Artichoke Heart appetizer. Too many petals lefts on the heart, the aioli looked like pure pureed garlic, and the temperature went cold just minutes after receiving it. Now here is where my expectations fell to through the drain. I ordered the Lamb shank, she ordered the Piccata. The piccata immediately looked incorrect. I’ve never seen a creamy piccata sauce ever! And creamy as in, the base of the sauce was manufacturing cream. And a tons of capers(they got that right). That’s about it. The Lamb Shank was just a huge flop. Imagine a shank, and shoving it into a pot of risotto. That’s what it looked like on the plate. A big shank slopped over a bed of overly creamy over cooked bland arborio rice. I have to say the the shank dish In general lacked garlic. When you have an Italian dish like that, garlic is one thing you know will be present. Except here. Do I recommend you eat here? I’m not sure. You can read this and make your decision.

This place and the employees are hands down wonderful. The food was enjoyable and full of flavors. We ate in the lounge and are waiter was Gabe. We started out with the Artichoke appetizer and I got the raspberry lemon drop, part of their happy hour. Very pleased. My husband ordered the ribeye, which was very good and this will be what I order next time. The best around. I got the Chicken Piccata, excellent, and my daughter got the Mac and cheese. I tried it too… yummy. Desert was the raspberry lemon cake. Yummy. The service was awesome!!! Very happy with first visit and will be back again.

My son and I came here tonight to celebrate his new job. Merced really doesn’t have a nice steak restaurant, so I did the Unilocal research and decided to drive(in the rain) to Turlock, 40 minutes away. I wanted to congratulate him with a nice meal and we weren’t disappointed. When we walked in, the hostess was just leading a couple away and we waited all of a minute. In that time, three different servers approached us from the kitchen to ask if we’d been helped. That attentiveness set the tone for the entire evening. Our waiter, Brad, was prompt and attentive. He was completing his last evening of tandem service with a senior server and would be going solo tomorrow. Between him and his shadow, we had excellent service and wanted for nothing. Once seated, we were greeted with warm herb Foccacia bread and butter. We perusing the menu and decided to start with the Monterey Bay Calamari. The calamari was tender, lightly breaded, and came with two great dipping sauces and wasabi. It was a great appetizer, especially with the sweet chili dipping sauce. After that we shared a very large blue cheese wedge salad with the traditional tomatoes, bacon, blue cheese crumbles and red onion. Also good and plenty for two. For our entrees, I chose the garlic herb crusted prime rib and my son went with the Jack Daniel Sirloin. Both steaks were prepared exactly as we requested and the sides were a perfect complement. He had cheddar mashed and braised green beans with bacon and mushrooms. I had roasted potatoes and sauteed green beans. My prime rib also came with a drinkable au jus and choice of fresh or creamy horseradish. We were stuffed but couldn’t resist dessert, especially when I saw my favorite crème brûlée was on the menu. I chose that and he selected the Toasted Almond cake. Both desserts were delicious. Our dinner, with two cocktails was $ 100. I was extremely pleased with our meal and think that the service and quality of our dining choices justified it. This was a special occasion and I wasn’t looking for Sizzler or the Hometown Buffet to commemorate it.

BYFARTHEBESTPLACETOEATINTURLOCK. Wow. Apparently this place has been around since March 2015 and I am just now trying it! The food was absolutely amazing. We had the wedge salad and the artichoke for appetizers. Both were absolutely great, but by far the best grilled artichoke appetizer over had an any restaurant.(And I travel a lot). Our entrees were the tri tip sandwich(substituted their fabulous ham and bacon Mac and cheese as my side) and then the table 26 burger with a side of clam chowder soup. Huge portions and so much food. Not to mention it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée. The mousse tastes exactly like the forrero Roche chocolates and the brûlée was perfect on top. On top of the food being fantastic, the wait staff was just awesome. We brought our one year old son with us and they were so accommodating to anything he needed and were so friendly. From the food, to the décor and atmosphere, this place is just great. So so so impressed!

I’ll give this place a 4 star but I probably won’t be back. Why I won’t be back; too expensive(for my liking. Chicken Parmesan was $ 19) and the food(although good) is too unique. They have standard plates that they put a «twist» on which I can understand why a lot of people would like but I’m just a little more simple than that. Why it deserves 4 stars: it’s clean, staff friendly, a variety of food which I’m sure has a good quality(if you’re into food with a twist), great décor/ambiance, modern, restrooms cleaned/stocked, and prompt service. We had the calamari, which was good but it just wasn’t breaded as much as I like it to be. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it, the 2 sauces, and the wasabi. I had chicken Parmesan(picture included). I was disappointed that it came with pesto, I generally love pesto but I was really looking for a marinara sauce. The chicken breast had a tomato on top with the cheese and spices melted over it. It took me a couple bites to «enjoy» it and I ate it but I would prefer a more traditional chicken Parmesan. My husband ordered the steak and fries. The steak was cooked to how he asked, very flavorful. I had one bite and was surprised now well the cilantro complimented the seasoning. So although we probably won’t be back due to pricing and the food being a little more unique, I don’t want to «punish» and hurt their star rating because of my personal preferences. This place deserves 4+ stars, it’s just not my cup of tea.
