Very sad Farmer’s Market and few selections. The non profit one that moved to the fairgrounds is a lot BETTER.

This is a sad little farmers market — maybe 10 customers total. The cherries I bought here were very good. I can’t speak for the other stands, but the products looked like quality goods(Portugese bakery, sweet cream top milk, etc).

Back with a bang! If you haven’t been following the«Dynasty-esque» drama(yup I used Dynasty as a metaphor and aged myself) going on with this venue, then you don’t live in the Turlock/Modesto area. In any case they’ve changed their location to the Stanislaus County Fair grounds. We went for the opening day and it was great. They had a band playing, a choo– choo train(c’mon ride the train, choo-choo ride it … anyone remember that song?) for the youngsters to hassle their already-harried parents about; and more importantly oodles and oodles of farm fresh produce. Got some syrupy sweet strawberries and blueberries(certified organic of course!) and made a crumble that very same day! Weak in the knees good!

I’m actually digging on Turlock’s farmer’s market more than Modesto’s farmer’s market next to the Library. Loved the Story Tent and earning their money for listening to stories and signing in. Daughter walked out with two wands. One glow in the dark and the other sparkly, she was super excited. We will be back to enjoy the story tent and earning money for prizes. My daughter also enjoyed the hawaiian ice as well. Mommy enjoyed the hummus, lots of fruit to try and buy. Also shopping and stopping in the stores, shops, along the way. Can’t wait till the next Sat.

We just moved to Turlock officially, from Oakdale. We love the Turlock Farmers Market! It’s an upgrade form Oakdale’s FM for sure. lol Definitely room for growth and expansion. More vendors and a bit more variety would be great. Even so, it is a great farmers market. Love the location. Everyone really gets into it. The vendors all do an excellent job. It looks classy and well organized. The produce is always fresh. Ellie and Charlie’s booth is my favorite. As well as Hummus Heaven. Love it :0
