Full Moon provides a good meal. The portions are large and their sides are exceptional. They have a whole list of sides to choose from, and I keep trying different ones and they are all good. They also have a great carrot cake. Now let’s talk about what’s important: the meat and the sauce. Their ribs do notcompete with the famous dreamland ribs, but they are average. Their brisket is average. What makes them tasty is the sauce at Full Moon is exceptional. Their sauce has a hint of sweet and a hint of spice that provides an overall tasty experience. I like full moon and will continue to visit when in town.

Very friendly, suburban style barbecue restaurant with LOTS of football memorabilia. The portion sizes are HUGE. The food was just plain. The bbq was not quite warm enough. And not tastey

We catered from Full Moon for the Tennessee/Bama game tailgate. The food(pulled pork, wings, ribs, Mac and cheese and slaw) was good, but they were about an hour late delivering. Knocked a star for tardiness.

Mediocre bbq place. Enough said. They have the items on the menu that an avid bbq eater craves but the taste nor price is there. The ribs are dry and the sauce is a little sweet. The prices are high so don’t go in with a budget. The banana pudding isn’t bad the best dish on the menu is the stuffed baked potato. The dish is comprised of a huge baked potato stuffed with pulled pork, cheddar cheese, shallots, sour cream, and bbq sauce. Expect to spend $ 30 for two people.

The food here is alright. Nothing to write home about. Just your typical chain of BBQ joints. It actually reminded me of Dickies BBQ. However the atmosphere is better. More up beat vibe. If I’m ever back in Tuscaloosa I could take it or leave it.

Stopped here on recommendation from our hotel. If you are looking for a more commercialized family BBQ, this is a great place. Small with lots of atmosphere. Bama pics and jerseys line the wall. Menu is large and can be confusing to look at but we figured out what we wanted. My daughter got the ¼ white chicken platter with ff’s and Mac and cheese. Hubby got pork platter with ff and Mac and cheese. His portion of pork was huge! Mac and cheese was so so. I opted for just a baked potato. It was the size of the whole plate! Overall it did the job for us at the time. If you want a quick bite to eat you may enjoy the stop here.

A lot of food and a somewhat decent tasting BBQ. The smoke flavor is good and the sauce is decent. For a quick decent meal not a bad place. Get the fried green tomatoes and ranch to dip them in, and you will leave a happy camper.

This was an OKBBQ place by my standards. You definitely get fed here and the sides are all excellent. It seemed a little mass market for what I would expect from a good BBQ place but it’s clean, the food is good and the service is pretty efficient. The line at the counter is testament to the food. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich which was good; I was a little offput about having to ask/pay for slaw but that’s how they roll. Definitely worth a stop in for lunch if you’re in the area.

Great food. The chow chow is pretty good. I just had the pulled pork plate. Unexpectedly, I fell in love with their cookies.

I couldn’t believe how long the line was but after I got the food, I understood. The fried okra and collards were just perfect. The sweet tea was great. My only suggestion would have been to add more sauce to the BBQ sammich but I imagine if I had gone inside, I could have gotten more. 2015 Update: The food is still great. I got me some catfish which was cooked to perfection and that side sauce that I couldn’t decipher but loved every bite. Sides were fried okra(good, but I think I’ve eaten my fill for awhile), black eyed peas(pretty good) and fried green tomatoes(just these would have been worth the trip!). Overall, I’m satisfied. Plenty of food, enough for supper, too. The sweet tea is a little too sweet one year later.

Pricey and no customer service skills Last night was the first time eating at this place so I didn’t know what to expect. The girl taking the orders didn’t really have good customer service skills. I ordered a sandwich and she didn’t tell me the sandwich didn’t come with any sides or a drink. So I felt a little silly when the guy brought just a sandwich and nothing else. The All-American Burger was extremely tender and good but small. It wasn’t worth the $ 5 they charge for it. This isn’t going to be my go to BBQ spot.

I don’t write many reviews, especially not bad ones, but honestly this was the worst over priced BBQ I have ever had. The brisket was super dry and covered in gross BBQ sauce flavor was plain, the pork link tasted alright, but had to many hard chunks in it and tasted really fatty. The fried green tomatoes were good, the slaw was soggy(eww) and I didn’t touch the bun. I asked for regular unsweetened iced tea and the dude gave me sweet tea, not a fan so I had someone else switch it for me. Then I asked what chow chow was because we don’t have that in California(thank the food gods) the guy at the register gave me the worst answer possible and didn’t even tell me what was in it… It came with my meal, it was gross. The best thing I ate was the side salad I ordered… So I guess just stick with that if you go there. I was disappointed because the logo is cool and the inside is interesting but it’s just bad fast food BBQ.

The food was good, I had the Love Me Tender salad. The service was not so great and the cashier taking orders was rude and excluded me when taking the order from my family. When we tried to get her to add my order she said she couldn’t do it at that point and I would have to wait. By the time I got to order my family already had their food. Overall the atmosphere was ok if you like to be surrounded by University of Alabama stuff.

My friend and I stopped at the drive thru after taking part in the Warrior Dash before heading back to Atlanta. The service was incredibly slow. I’m talking 15 minutes of waiting at the window to get our food — the pimento cheese sandwich and the Buffalo chicken tenders. It’s not like our order was extensive and complicated, but out food just took forever. It was tasty, no doubt, but no food should take so long.

Ever since the BBQ chain expanded into the Ttown market I frequented the store in Woods Square often. I never had a bad meal and as an Alabama fan I loved the décor: Crimson Tide Bryant Mania. The rebuilt place across the street does not disappoint during my visit. Same high quality meats and friendly staff. Roll Tide!

The service is really nice and polite. I was so hungry, the cashier put my fries to go so I could munch while we waited on the order. A full slab, 20 wings, and an order of fries… the slab was Yum Yum. The Wings Were Perfect To The Sauce. Yum Yum.

This may not be the best BBQ in Tuscaloosa, but it’s pretty good! The spareribs were tender and meaty, and the sauce had a good balance of smoky and sweet flavors. The slaw was outstanding, as was the chow-chow. The mac and cheese was not bad either, with a nice rich and creamy consistency. I found it to be a mite pricey, but I really did enjoy the food.

Great trimmings. Here that means side dishes. Outstanding Fried green tomatoes, delicious Collard Greens, good fried okra and a nice chow-chow. Onion rings looked great as the owner passed around free samples. So why only three stars? Because this is a BBQ joint, and the BBQ was rather meh. Uninspired meats, with greasy ribs, meh brisket and chunky, flavorless pulled pork. Served with a cold and too-sweet BBQ sauce. Service was great. Super friendly staff and a busy proprietor that buzzed around personally making sure everyone was happy. They had a surprising good beer selection, including local craft beers. Oh, and the Full Moon Half-Moon cookies were fantastic!
