The place is so very clean, the employees are friendly, and the BBQ is good, but the fries are the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I’ve eaten there several times since they opened, and they haven’t gotten those fries right yet. They are usually soggy and tasteless. I made a point of asking them to make them crispy, 4 or 5 fries were fairly crisp, all the fries were still tasteless. Please up your fry game, Hoos Q.

When entering the restaurant, we noticed how clean and neat it was. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. The smoked chicken was out of this world, especially with the heavenly white sauce. Both of those were by far the best I have ever had anywhere! The pulled pork was very good as were the baked beans and fries. My husband liked the potato salad; however, I did not only because it tasted like it was purchased from a grocery store. The only negative thing I can really say about the whole experience is that the food was not warm at all. Luckily I don’t like hot food… but, nothing on my plate or my husband’s plate was even remotely warm. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience and with chicken like that(don’t forget the white sauce), we’ll definitely be back!

The chicken is absolutely amazing and the ribs are delicious. Never a long wait for your food. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant. Great flavor on the smoked chicken plate. Staff is always nice and willing to help if needed. If they had a drive thru and a better location they’d kill the competition.

Definitely a mediocre bbq place but they serve one dish here that will completely crush a hangover. It is known as none other than the the question mark. It’s a bed of fries topped with diced fried chicken and pulled bbq with melted cheddar cheese and a bucket load of white sauce. Like I said the ribs here aren’t the best but this concoction is to die for and makes Hoo’s Q one of my favorite places to go after a night of drinking. Expect to spend 14.99(will feed 2 people).

I took family from out of town here. The BBQ was ok. The meatloaf was pretty good. The fried pecan pie was AMAZING! Now the service was impeccable. They answered our questions. The manager even stopped by our table since it was our first visit. We will be back for sure.

Went there the first week they opened. Chicken was cooked very well. Sauce was okay. I’m not sure about anything else.

Whew! I wish i would’ve read the reviews about the pork before i ate it. Severe stomach issues. Terms from prior reviews«microwaved», «mushy«, «blended», and«high school cafeteria«are fitting. Buyer beware!

The half smoked chicken is the best in town. The food is consistently good and service is quick. Good variety of southern BBQ and sides. Glad they rebuilt after the tornado. My favorite place for lunch

Barely 2 stars. The food was just OK. My meatloaf could have just been cheap steak. The potato salad was extra and tasted store bought. NOBEER. Store is located at a weird intersection. Not worth making a special trip

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch today. We went at an odd time, so we were the only ones there. As soon as we walked in, it smelled heavenly. I ordered the rib plate($ 6) with two sides(An extra 3 bucks, mac n cheese and baked beans). My boyfriend ordered the Hoo’s Loaf(bacon wrapped meatloaf). We were both extremely satisfied with everything we ate. The owner(?) brought us the food along with two sauces, regular and white BBQ sauce. Both were amazing. My ribs were so good, I didn’t even need the sauce but I did anyways because the sauces were great. Friendly, clean, very fast service. Will definitely be going back!

Had the pleasure of eating here while visiting my dad. The food was awesome. I had the rib plate with baked beans and potato salad. My husband had the rib plate with onion rings. Best onion rings I’ve had in a long time. Ribs were even great. They were smoked to perfection and not boiled and then smoked like some restaurants. The only thing I did not like was the service. It was a game day, so there were not that many customers. The waitress kept trying to watch the game on t.v. and not paying attention to the customers. Other than the service, I would visit them again. Great new spot!

Staff is nice, place is clean, food is pretty awful. Nothing tasted like it was fresh. The pulled pork was mushy and resembled the kind you would find in a high school cafeteria. The wings were the same frozen Tyson wings you’d buy from Sam’s Club. The mac and cheese was the worst. The food is so cheap it’s not even funny

I’ve eaten here many times. Favorite is the smoked chicken with white BBQ sauce. Fantastic. Nice, clean place with friendly staff and food where there’s something for everyone. The chicken fingers are awesome too.

2 Stars based on the décor which is cool, inviting, open and very comfortable. It is a bit of a confusing mix of BBQ joint and Sports bar… but with no beer offerings. There are TVs placed in just the right places. Including one on the VERY attractive patio. The staff were cheerful and helpful in explaining some of the menu items… But all of the good things about the décor, cannot overcome the bad food. YUCK! «pulled pork» like an fellow Unilocaler said, looks/feels like it has been put thru a blender with a bit of sauce mixed in while in the blender. The mushy texture was totally off base. Our table had several sides which were completely unimpressive. Ttown has some really solid BBQ options so they really need to bring a great effort to make it. I really did want to like this place… But, not so much

Wow, I’m impressed. Ribs were tender and it had nice flavor to it. I have tried other bbq joints in T-Town(Dreamland, Fullmoon, and Original Archibald) and IMO, Hands down, this place has the best ribs. Give it a try.

The atmosphere is causal, as a barbeque joint should be. Unique touches like wooden doors repurposed into tables set it apart from the standard fare. The portions are generous and well worth the price. The ribs are seasoned with a rub and served with sauce on the side. The sauce seems to be vinegar based but still manages to carry a sweetness in it that keeps it from being overpowering. The only issue I had is that the pork is advertised as «pulled;» but it’s actually chopped, mixed with sauce, and served as sort of a paste. Not bad, just not what I expected. Friendly staff rounds out an overall good experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Tonight I went to this place for the first time ever and it was fantastic. I got the rib plate with onion rings and slaw as a side. The meat was succulent and fell off the bone! It was served with no sauce which was nice because people can add their own, plus some BBQ purists like to enjoy the meat’s natural flavors. I’d go back again when I’m in t town.

Has the atmosphere of a wanna be sports bar. $ 5 just for a pulled pork sandwich which was just warmed up and seemed to have been put in a blender. Was charged $ 2 for fries with my sandwhich which was not advertised. All in all was just a pricey meal that was the same quality of cafeteria food. Your money is much better spent at the original Dreamland.
