Fist time visit was a few weeks back. The food is good and the drinks are good. Service was fast and staff was friendly.

Seared ahi sashimi was delicious! Corn chowder with blue crab was amazing. I didn’t even know I liked crab! Filet mignon steak tacos so tender, flavorful, and fresh! We will definitely be back.

I ordered the lobster stuffed shrimp and have to say it was delicious. I also ordered a patron margarita that was good too. The pomegranate martini was a bit to sweet for me. We really enjoyed our dinner

First time here. My partner raved about the restaurant in NY so we decided to try it here. We came on a Thursday evening and it was definitely a slow evening from the looks of it. No real complaints. The service was top notch, everyone from our host to our server was extremely attentive. He helped with suggestions on popular dishes and personal favorites. knowledgeable when asked about the menu even though we could tell he was fairly new and perhaps still in training. The manager came by a few times to check on us which was really nice. I started off with a pomegranate martini, was way too sweet for my taste but perhaps i shold have expected it. I would not recommend it. Our apetizers were bang bang shrimp and ceviche. I definitely recommend the shrimp, its crunchy, lightly breaded and flavorful. The ceviche however was a fail for me. Perhaps im comparing it to the Mexican ceviche but i like my ceviche very citrusy which this was not, more on the sweet side. My entrée was the Atlantic Cobia with the potatoes and green beans. It was good but nothing i would rave about. It a seasoned grilled fish, with a slight fishy taste but very mild with a tougher texture similar to a salmon. The green beans were excellent lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked with a nice crunch. My partner had the Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout with mac anf cheese with broccoli. I only had a bite and it was great but it is fried so to me everything tastes better fried :). Over all pleasant(except the service, it rocked!)

I just moved here from New Jersey, and I was so excited to find a bonefish grill near by! We arrived on a Thursday evening and it seemed to be fairly slow, which was surprising. The host was very friendly and sat us to our table immediately. Our server was training another server and both were very friendly and professional. They explained specials and specific ingredients. I ordered the pineapple martini and it was a bit on the sweet side, but I expected it. My partner order the pomegranate martini and it was way too sweet! Def do not recommend. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, which is consistently great. But the ceviche was very underwhelming. It was super watery and sweet! I’m use to ceviche being super tangy! The biggest flaw of the night the server asked if I wanted chop sticks, I said yes, but NEVER brought them. Boo but it’s ok. The pecan crusted trout was bomb! Overall jersey is better but I’d still come back.

We have been here several times, enjoyed the food each time, including this time… BUT the service has gone downhill the last few times we’ve been here. I truly don’t want to get anyone in trouble, so I will say this as a general rule: Even if a table sits for a lengthy amount of time, you continue to serve them beverages as you are still responsible for the table. You greet the table with a smile, make them feel as if you’re happy that they have sat in your section. Once the check was out, we were not served a single beverage. I was a server for 13 years and was also accompanied by someone who has been in the restaurant business for 32 years. We know what it takes to make a guest happy. We had just gone to a restaurant on Sunday and spoke with the owner and he said something I believe it is true… good food with bad service you will never get a return guest, but you can have mediocre food and give great guest service and the customer may come back to give it another try. It’s all in the ambience and how the server makes you feel while you’re dining in the restaurant.

Nice place to eat on a(normally post-church, busy) Sunday afternoon. The décor and server uniforms project an air of a high-end spot, but the prices don’t leave your pocketbook feeling significantly empty or gipped. I echo the sentiment of prior Unilocalers on the bread and pesto dip and the Bang Bang Shrimp. Thumbs up! The fish and chips was ok. It’s cod, and would be more unique were it Halibut or Mahi, but it wasn’t bad. The batter could do with a smidgen more salt. The side salad has a nice dressing! If they could make that salad full size and offer a protein, that would be a mean salad! Sorry! Back to what they actually serve. Father-in-law had the fish tacos! He devoured the plate. He enjoyed topping them with the side dish of cole slaw! Husband had the brunch menu-Oscar omelet. Plate nearly licked clean! For dessert, we shared the coconut pie and strawberry shortcake, the latter of which is seasonal. The coconut pie is served warm, which kind of sounds odd, but it is delicious. It’s topped with rum and has a light crust. It is very rich. Probably best to share. The strawberry shortcake biscuit was the right amount of sweet and the cream and strawberries complimented the biscuit, nicely. Again, if you want to head somewhere not super crowded, with fresh fish and good desserts, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with Bonefish Grill in Tustin.

The first time that I went to Bonefish Grill, I loved it. The second time that I went, I noticed that the quality and taste had changed drastically. The third time that I went(my last visit), I couldn’t even finish my food on the plate because the taste was so unpleasant. To top it off, the service was extremely slow. The restaurant was fully staffed and there were hardly any customers in sight yet it took over 30 minutes to bring out bread and 45 minutes to bring out the food. Asking for the check took another 15 minutes. I really wanted my last two experiences to mimic my first experience, but unfortunately they didn’t.

Perfect work lunch! I come here with the gals from work and sit in the bar area. The bang bang shrimp tacos are EVERYTHING! Also necessary to get a yummy glass of white wine and you’ll be back in the office within an hour. The environment is nice, the service is good. No complaints from me! I’ll continue to come back and bring my clients!

Definitely has hit’s and misses … So the Italian and I had a dinner date planned for Taps but we were running late ;) ;) and we didn’t want to have last minute rushy meal at a place close to closing. So I threw out some other seafood spots in the area and he stopped me at Bonefish grill and said I had it in another state and enjoyed it so lets go there. Off we went. Walked in, nicely dimmed place. I wish we sat in the bar area because if you’re sat by another table in the larger dining room and people start to leave, you can really hear the next door tables convo quite easily and they don’t wanna hear what we’re talkin LOL. Anywho the serice was lacking but when she finally came over she was very nice and a bit overworked. No fault of hers. So looked over the menu and there were a few things that stood out. The menu had potential. So we started with fannie bay oysters and the bang bang shrimp. The Italian is VERY picky about the size of oysters. He doesn’t like big slimey things in his mouth LOL ;) Sadly the fannie bay’s were too big for him and he hated their size. Super fresh but to fulfilling. The bang bang shrimp was good. Very crispy even with the coating. This dish kinda reminded me of walnut shrimp you get at Chinese eateries. The Italian was seriously trying to overstuff me. For the entrée he ordered the Chilean seabass and he chose mashed potatoes and green beans as his sides. I ordered the crab crusted orange roughy with sautéed spinach and crab fried rice. We also ordered an additional side of truffle mac. I didn’t try his meal but he said it was just OK. I started in on mine and the name on the menu is false. They should call it parmesan crusted orange roughy with chunks of crab topping it. When I think crab crusted, I’m thinking chopped up crab meat mixed with panko and fish dredged into egg wash and roll it around in the crab mix. That’s how it should have been if you’re going to title it that way –_-. Their food is most definitely fresh but this meal was a bit bland. I hooked it up once I took it home for leftovers. The star of the show was the truffle mac and cheese!!! OMG This was so rich and creamy! I finished it hours later that night. It’s so good, I wanted to go back the next day just to get some for take out! I ordered the doughnut dessert to-go. Very good dessert and not to heavy especially considering that heavy mac I just had. Overall the meal was just ok. The ambiance is great but the lack of seasoning made for a lackluster meal. I’d go back for a cocktail and mac and cheese at the bar!!!

I’ve dine here over 10x over the course of 2 years. I have sat at both the bar & dining room. I highly recommended to have Mason as your server in the dining room area. He’s been with BFG pretty much when they first opened. Mason is polite, courteous, checks-in on us at the right times, remembers all our requests & provides attentive service. Awesome server! I have noticed since my last visit(a few months back) it looks like portion(in particular the side dishes that comes with the entrée) got a little bigger? Or is it just because it was the Hooked-On Tuesday 3 course deal?! I’ll have to come again & see. Nice environment, nice food. I tried here with my friend for first time. Well, I think sea bass was kind of over prized but actually I wanted to try. My friend ordered Tuesday special with steak, salad, and cheesecake for here dessert. It was worth for $ 17. I should have ordered that one haha. Steak was amazing, and my plate was really good. I chose mashed potato for my side order and it was just perfect. The reason for 4 star is the squash haha It tasted nothing. Maybe they would put some seasoning on that. One interesting was the side sauce. One tasted mango/spicy, the other was asian style. I loved both though. I might bring my friends next time :)

I personally never had an interest in dining here, but my boyfriend’s mom wanted to go here so we came for lunch. From the moment we sat down the customer service was pretty terrible. Corn Chowder(1⁄5): worst corn chowder I’ve ever had, ended up sending it back. Salmon Entrée(2⁄5): average tasting salmon with sad-looking asparagus, at least the coleslaw was good. Crème Brulee(3⁄5): average. Walnut Fudge Brownie(2⁄5): way too sweet. Donuts(3⁄5): they were like cronuts. Overall I would not come back. I really didn’t like the customer service here. Waitress seemed unenthusiastic and didn’t seem like she cared at all if we had a good experience or not. Food was average at best and overpriced.

We were at REI and felt like a nice sit down dinner. I read the reviews and they were very mixed. I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did. I read bad reviews about the calamari. I thought it was great. I read bad reviews about the bread. It was warm and soft. I had the lobster stuffed shrimp and it was seriously so good. The service was good. My only complaint is that it is very pricy. 21 bucks for 6 shrimp. But tasty little pricy prawns!

Located at The Market Place, on the same side as Best Buy, Total Wine & More and Toys R Us(which is closing this Sunday, January 24). My husband and I had lunch here this past Saturday around 1:30 pm. It was pretty empty, with only 3 other tables when we walked in. The hostess greeted us immediately and asked how many were in our party and then with menus in hand, lead us to our table. After browsing, we ended up getting: Bang Bang Shrimp, $ 11.50 prior to tax– this shrimp is tossed with a creamy spicy sauce(taste kind of like sriracha and mayonnaise). But being a non spicy eater, I asked if we could have the sauce on the side. Our server, Devin, said he could do that for us. The shrimp was a good portion to start as an appetizer and to share with another person. I thought the shrimp tasted good, but wished it was a little bit more drained(but was still find as is). Bonefish House Salad With Salmon, $ 16.30 prior to tax– I requested for the dressing to be on the side, and Devin make sure it was when it was brought out to us. This salad was rather disappointing because of the salmon. The salmon was on the small side(about 3 – 4 oz) and rather dry. With this place being a seafood place, we were expecting this fish to made better. The salmon wasn’t really seasoned either. Fish + Chips, $ 13.90 prior to tax– We were both really disappointed with the fried fish. It was incredibly oily! Honestly the kitchen must have forgotten to drain it because there was a huge amount of oil all over the paper the fish was served on. It also made the fries rather soggy and really gross. I wished I had said something to our server about it because this was just plain ol’ gross. Although the fried fish was rather meaty, it lacked flavor and quality(made of tilapia). — — — — — — — — — (Total= $ 45.04 after tax, prior to tip) Service was okay, but could have been a little bit better(more attentive for example). Again, being that this is a seafood restaurant, I really had higher expectations for this place, in terms of food. I felt like we were overcharged for a real disappointing lunch and would never come back here again.

CAVEAT: So, I got a comp for $ 25 for this place because I applied to a Unilocal Elite event and didn’t get in. I have been thinking of coming to this place for a few months now, but was kind of worried because of the polarizing reviews. Long story short, I think that people try to lump this place into a more high-end steakhouse/fish place instead of embracing it’s upper-middle-price category. Ok, so to be honest, I would have probably given this place a 4. However, I feel like either 1) people who reviewed this place were too hard on it or 2) They have really improved service since the reviews. Anyway, I felt bad for all the 1’s they’ve gotten here and wanted to make it up to them because we had such a great experience. Ambiance: separate bar/entertainment area and large, open dining room. It was about 80−90% full on Sunday night at 6, so not too crowded. It can be a good place for a family dinner, or a date. Not over-the-top romantic, but still moderately classy! What we got: Table bread– Love that the bread was served warm and that the pesto-olive oil combo. And thank you for pre slicing it. Mule– probably my least favorite thing of the night. The ginger was overwhelming. Not only did you get a HUGE hit of ginger on every sip, but it also came with candied ginger. It was the sweetest mule I’ve ever had. Which I don’t mind, but the overpowering ginger was too much for me. It was pretty though? They do have a pretty good and reasonably priced drink selection, so I’d get something else next time. Bang Bang Shrimp– spicy, creamy, little bit of crunch. Definitely a forte! Whoever said that was«just spicy mayo»… not true. I like that it came with a salad too, so you can sop up the good sauce and eat it! Loved this. Kobe Beef burger– I think they cooked the meat perfectly and the cheese was SO good, I think I just had issues with the bun. Maybe it was just the type of bread, but it just tasted a little dry/stale for me. It made the veggies stick out more than it should have. Maybe a brioche bun would do better. Or something a little softer or more moist… I’m not sure. I only ended up eating half of the bun while CRUSHING everything else. Fries were good, nothing special, so if you were considering a side salad it wouldn’t be a bad option. Maybe a little more crispy, or an aoli instead of ketchup? Tilapia Imperial– we ordered this because I heard that a lot of the plain fish entrees didn’t have much flavor, even with the signature sauces. However, I’ve seen that problem with a lot of fish places. I think they’re just trying to feature the fish(and I never get people saying fish is too fishy…) Anywho, I loved this item! Full of flavor– creamy sauce, stuffed fish, capers, and lemon! The garlic potatoes were on point, and I loved the subtle butter flavor on the broccoli. Wasn’t a huge fan of the spinach. Everything was good portion size, we left full and happy! Also, HUGE props to Michael A., our server. He was a huge contributor to us having such a good time there. He’s kind of quirky, too(he told us he got the«best loaf of the batch», how many people you say that to!!! :)). Everyone around seemed to really like him too. On a side note, I’ve read bad reviews about their service here, but we didn’t get that experience at all. Not just our waiter… I saw every waiter tending to their tables attentively and returning to ask if they can get the customers any extra sauces/sides/drinks at least once during the main course. Waters refilled. Our waiter gave me spinach side instead of the broccoli I requested, but readily apologized and brought the broccoli quickly. He even apologized for«disappearing» for a few minutes, leaving our empty plates out a little longer than normal, but to be honest we didn’t really notice. He was efficient, polite, and attentive. Though this place is definitely more casual than a high-end steakhouse, I thought the service was on par with one! Thumbs up to the service! So anyways, if I had to compare this place with regards to ambiance, quality, and prices, it’s two steps above Red Lobster and step below McCormick’s. Bonefish Grill does a great job in its niche: slightly swanky, slightly fancy schmancy, good food at reasonable prices. Just a few suggestions in there would take it to the next level. Thanks for the comp, Bonefish, I’d come back!

WAYYY overdue for a review here! HANDSDOWN — one of my favorite sunday brunch spots! For $ 20, unlimited bubbles(Mimosas, Blackberry Sangra — MY favorite!!, and Bellini’s) they also make them fresh to order and not just have it sitting in a jar. Includes a meal that’s in their section for your choosing! There’s hardly a wait ever which makes me want to go there more since most other brunching locations always has a LONG wait involved. Sorry, but my stomach and thirst don’t have time for that! I always favor their Lobster Egg Benedict with Filet Mignon pieces is always on point! Ample parking since they share it with Best Buy/REI folks. Service has always been pretty good everytime I’ve been there, so no complaints! Give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

Bang for your buck brunch. For $ 20 you can get Endless Bellinis, Mimosas or Blackberry Sangria with your choice of Eggs Benedict, a Brunch Favorite or Omelet. A great price seeing that most Brunch locations charge $ 20 just for the endless drink option without food. With 10 different options available as an entrée, you have a lot of options to drool over. I’ve ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict and Surf and Turf Eggs Benedict. While they sound delicious, both entrees were alright. Not a big fan of the Hollandaise sauce they use and with the large portion sizes, you bet you ass there was a lot of it. Can’t complain though, they’re pretty much giving the plate away at that price. I’d ask for the sauce on the side next time. Drinks were all on a bit of the sweet size but you have to love how attentive the servers are and how quick they are to top you off. That brings me to the next point, service. The servers and bartenders are always on point. Even with a full section, they make time to check on us and make we have everything we need. A HUGE plus is how we never have to wait for a table.
