What happened to this concept? They used to have a decent steak, I had the Delmonico which is advertised as Marbled and Delicious. I got a steak that was completely grey inside or well done, I ordered it medium. I didn’t bother sending it back cause with this quality of beef it wouldnt make much difference, no flavor mealy texture. I never use steak sauce I usually enjoy something with quality. With this steak I had to use steak sauce to finish it. Service wasn’t much better, my bartender Lauren was MIA during my meal, I had to walk around and ask for steak sauce. Lone Star isn’t what it used to be, along with many other corporate owned restaurants, food quality and labor are what they cut back on to show stock holders a profit at the guests expense.

I went to lone star steakhouse with my family on a rainy Sunday between noon and 2. As soon as we entered the place looked like a ghost town. Even though they didn’t have a lot of customers the waiter took a long time to take our order and bring out the food. I notice the majority of the customer where old folks, which is not a bad thing. I figure most of them are regulars since they were served right away. The food was delicious especially the big baked sweet potatoe. I gave this restaurant 3 stars for its food but also for its lack of service.

The place has declined due to an obvious decision to downgrade the cuts of beef being served. We used to come here once a month, now it is just a couple times a year. They still serve a really good burger, but the steaks have a lot of gristle and don’t match up to the competition. The good news is that the lines are nearly as long as they used to be… there is a reason for that… see above…

COCKROACH! While having dinner here there was a HUGE cockroach crawling on the wall near our table. We reported it to a busboy who came and killed it. They wiped the wall and re-set the customers in the same location. The manager never came by and no one apologized. Not only does this raise serious concerns about their health and safety, it also demonstrates terrible management. I will NOT be coming back. Disgusting.

Let me start by saying Jonathan, our server, was ONIT! Great and friendly service! Now to the food: the steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious. The brandy cream sauce was a lovely addition. The baked sweet potatoes were perfectly done. The bleu cheese wedge had a generous amount of bleu cheese, dressing, and tomatoes. The cheesy bacon steak fries were decadent. The green beans were just right. The cheesecake was very nice, with a great texture. Really had a great meal and our entire party enjoyed it.

This used to be my favorite restaurant for steak. I’ve been eating here for about 12 years. It was my special place to get my «comfort» food. I hate to give my beloved Lone Star a 2 star review. This used the be a 5 star restaurant about half a year ago. However, the past half year, I’ve noticed that the steaks were tasting less flavorful and tougher. Also, the dinner rolls used to be sweat and fluffy and hot. Now they’re just starchy and dense. Also, the staff used to dance — it made the place fun and special. Now, the restaurant is really empty and kind of quiet — no fun. Even on Thursday nites, there used to be at least half hour wait. Now, this restaurant is a shell of what it used to be. Whoever made the decision to lower the quality of food should be fired and replaced by someone who actually understands how to run restaurants. My family and I won’t be coming back until changes are made. Management: You screwed up. Fes up and make changes right away before the damage is permanent!!!

Not sure why but their food quality has been getting worse every time we visit. It was actually getting better about 6 to 7 months ago but not anymore. I ordered one of my favorites Bubba BBQ burger several times recently and the meat had a odd smell. Almost like pork but different. We also order rib eye steaks and they were all very tough and had no flavor. Did they recently changed their meat supplier? I am hoping that they will make positive changes soon… because I will be very sad to see them close down… good luck.

The interior’s dark with chocolate wood throughout. My assistant and I stopped here on a Thursday for lunch. We ordered the full rack. It came with two sides and rolls. The ribs were tender. The taste was okay. Service was good.

1.) I was greeted with a friendly welcome and smile by the wonderful host, Ronnie and sat in a booth despite I was alone. AWESOME!!! I would have taken either table or booth(not a picky seater) 2.) My very knowledgable server Sam greeted me at the table and recommended a beer and I caved in and got one and it was fresh and cold, served in a chilled beer mug! Sam also brought out some fresh sweet rolls with my beer! 3.) Sam recommended the Wedge and Sirloin salad as her favorite and I got it. She was right! It’s delicious!!! I ordered my steak Medium/Rare and it came out PERFECT! I’m originally from Texas so I know my steaks. My steak was VERYLEANANDSUPERJUICY. 4.) The manager Nick came by my booth and asked how everything tasted and I told how wonderful my experience has been AND he cracked a few jokes with me, too! I’m so WOWED by my experience here. I had high expectations and this establishment blew them out of the water. I will return with friends next time!!! EXCELLENTFOODANDEXCEPTIONALSERVICEBYEVERYONE!

The homemade chili is outstanding! (I ordered a side of mashed potatoes and bread to accompany the chili. Both were delicious.) I also really enjoyed the coconut shrimp appetizer. The coconut flakes add a tasty crunch, and the sweet chili sauce is perfect. I would say that this time, the salmon was a little dry and was missing it’s sauce for our to go order, but everything else tasted great.

The last time I was at this restaurant was over a decade ago and I vaguely remember peanut shells on the floor and a fun vibe and average food, but, I went here a few nights ago(I moved back into the area after living in ghetto Hell-A for a decade) and the place seems different, there’s no peanut shell, the staff isn’t as «fun» but they are very attentive and the food was pretty darn good. My wife ordered the peppercorn steak and I ordered the cajun ribeye — we both had two sides each and a spinach dip appetizer and I had 2 drinks and the bill came out to like $ 60 something, it blew my mind away. In ghetto LA one steak alone would cost $ 60 if not more but we had a feast and the food was pretty good — it’s not Maestro’s level of course but it’s not Maestro’s price too. Anyway, the service staff seems pretty young, but they’re pretty attentive and pretty cool overall — our waiter was spot on with food, water, checking up and such and the food as I mentioned was very good. Both our steaks came out cooked the way we want it, the sides we’re ok… I liked my garlic mashed potato but wasn’t a big fan of the Texas rice, something seemed missing and a bit bland, but then again I am Korean and we’re not to like salt and eat peppers … so take that with a grain a salt haha. The ONLY gripe I could call out is that I wish my steak was a bit more cajun, I had a cajun steak at Morton’s in Chicago once and it blew my socks off, I’m not expecting that level here but I wish the cajun rub was a bit more pronounced. Overall — I’d say this place is worth checking out, the staff is pleasant and attentive, the food is good and affordably priced. My wife and I agreed that we’d go to LS for our quick steak fixes in the future.

Came back for a late lunch and this time all the tables looked bussed. The Manager Jodi took care of our drink orders and greeted is. Everyone worked as a team. The server was great and the good was great as always.

Texas rib eye. Was a little over done. Which is the first time ever here that has happened here. Broccoli. Perfectly cooked. Not too under or over cooked. I swear they must have a timer as their brocolli is always perfectly steamed. . baked potato. With chives. Butter. Sour cream. Was delicious. Nothing great out of the ordinary. Rolls. The ones that come out at the beginning of the dinner. Usually really tasty. This time they weren’t very warm. As if they had been sitting for a few hours In the back under heat lamps.

5 stars for service alone currently dining here and have been many times in the past. This is a local steakhouse within walking distance of home. I have never rated this spot before due mostly to the fact that it is just a chain. I AMGLAD the line dancing on the hour has been done away with. The main reason to Unilocal is this. SKYE our server. She was on point. Personable and professional as well as honest. A rare quality these days. If you are looking for a premier server ask for her! I promise you won’t be disappointed! ! !
