I have had the strawberry and cream croissants many times before, and they are THEBEST pastries that money can buy! I went to cream pan around 12:00 on a Monday and the line was not bad at all… I bought my pastries and ordered two iced lattes to-go. I felt I was in and out quickly and my iced latte was super delicious. The coffee here is very good! I highly recommend getting coffee along with the pastries :)

How late to the party am I? 61 of my Unilocal friends have reviewed this place, and 23 of those I’m following. What the heck took me so long, I have no idea. We all have those bookmarks that’s just been sitting there for years, and I guess there are only so many meals in a day. I also rarely find myself in Tustin. But on this day, I was within a couple miles of Cream Pan and said to myself, «Self, it’s now or never to discover what makes everyone Unilocal about the Strawberry Croissants.» Unfortunately it was fairly late in the day(around 4pm) and Cream Pan’s display case looked like had been completely ravaged by a pack of hungry Unilocalers. The line was still considerably long, and took us about 20 minutes to get through. Lesson — don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, even if you don’t see it. All the strawberry croissants were gone and people were settling for some piece of crumb cake or dry blueberry scone. I spoke up and asked about the strawberry croissants, and they said they were currently making up a batch. She quickly went to the back and brought me two of them out, to the amazement of the people who had just checked out in front of me. Within a few minutes the strawberry croissant display case was full again. Within a few minutes after that, it was empty. Ok, so what’s so special about these things… first off the croissant is very flakey and well made. It’s not easy to find a properly made croissant. The bavarian cream filling isn’t overly sweet like some places. It was perfectly rich and creamy, complimenting the fresh sliced strawberries, and the flakey croissant. Also the powered sugar on top adds just enough sweetness to the whole dessert. What I found most enjoyable was that because they move so many of them, they are freshly made, which means the cream isn’t going to get the pastry soggy at all. Turnover here is key, and by the looks of the lines they are always moving strawberry croissants all day. They are very small, so you can easily eat 2 or 3 or 10 of them. They are also very reasonably priced, more like donut prices than traditional pastry prices. This means that people get dozens of these little goodies to go. I’m guessing if you are making a Cream Pan run, you better bring a bunch home for the rest of your family. I only tried one other thing, a raspberry something or other. It may have also had a little cheesecake mixed in with it, but we got the last one. It didn’t look great, and wasn’t. Not sure if it’s fair to judge them based on the limited selection available at 4pm. But at least I did get the strawberry croissants, for which they are known. I’ll be back to try other things, if I find myself nearby them again, and it’s earlier in the day.

The Best in OC!!! I don’t like sweets but the strawberry croissant from this Japanese bakery is my favorite! I seriously can’t never get enough of it. It’s so delicious, crispy, flaky, light and not too sweet. I always stop by this place every time I’m in the area. I also take my friends and family here whenever they are in town. There is always a line but moving really fast. Everyone should try it!

I don’t know if any words can describe the majesty of this place. How do you describe the awesome delicate balance between the whipped cream and red bean cream in the Azuki cream bun? The deliciously crusty cream puff with perfectly thick cream that’s not overly sweet? The awesome strawberry croissant with the flaky buttery crust? The sticky pecan cinnamon bun that peels off in perfect rounded sections covered in delicious caramel and gooey & crispy pecans? Or the flavorful, & tender pork tonkatsu curry(fried panko bread crumbs)? Or how my family’s eyes glitter with happiness and adoration(not directed towards me but my lover cream pan) when they see me walk in with a box of cream pan? Or how they attack like wolves on the assorted goodies once that box hits the kitchen table? Also, they have a great rustic décor. Dark stained wood desks, with wooden seats(marked with«public school» on the backs). Come early and prepare to wait in line(it moves quickly) for the Azuki creams — those sell out quickly! Everytime I’m in here I easily spend $ 30 picking up 4 of everything. I can’t say no to Cream Pan! I can’t imagine this being any better — and in fact I’m sure the only reason they don’t already do this is because of all the dead bodies they’d have to clear out everyday due to people dying from sheer ecstasy — but a tiny sliver of me wishes they served made-to-order breakfast sandwiches. Can you imagine a gooey, yolky egg dripping on their buttery toasty croissant?! My heart is fluttering from the mere thought. I’m basically in love, and grateful that cream pan accepts my plebeian tokens of affection(aka money). Please don’t ever leave me!

It’s true what they say… CREAMPANISAMAZZZZIIIIINNNNGG. Cream Pan has become Tustin’s gem… it should be a tourist attraction because anyone that steps foot into Tustin’s city limits NEEDS to know about the goodness cooking up here. But prepare for the masses, I’m not the only mega fan of this spot. But it’s worth waiting out the door for… Those delectable pastries will have you coming back for more. Of course– the strawberry croissants are excellent. But once you feel like you’re ready for the next level– you should move on to the upgraded version… the STRAWBERRYBANANACHOCOLATECROISSANT. It has the same ingredients as the strawberry croissant– just throw in some bananas and a layer of chocolate on top of that sweet cream filling. The flaky, elongated pastry gives more substance to the croissant and it fills you up. Besides their fabled croissants, they’ve got a wide array of other things to choose from. Lots of bread, lots of pastries, lots of drinks, lots of desserts… How can you leave this place without walking out with something?! So head on down to Cream Pan, there’s something for everyone.

Oh Cream Pan, how are you so delightful? I’ve been a patron since 2008 and Cream Pan has never failed me. I only and always get the Strawberry Croissants. The croissants are really addictive. It’s not like a dense butter croissant from Costco but a more refined croissant that is just as buttery & flake-y. I enjoy that the cream inside isn’t too sweet. All the textures combined make for some addictive strawberry croissants. I always have to refrain from eating more than one. Long line, but it moves!

Delicious, delightful, and definite are the three key adjectives regarding this site. The offerings are diverse and well within one’s taste realm. Walking in, you see everything from sushi to bagels(sometimes including challah!!) along with strawberry cream puffs and donuts. Add to their curry choices plus sandwiches and you will truly be curious as to what to choose for your hunger aspects. The service is great and the food is wonderful! You can abide by a desire for everything they offer. Head over and you will head back again and again!

Today was my first time, but definitely not my last. There was a line of about 10+ people and many more followed. I was shocked by how quickly the line went. The staff there are quite speedy and effecient. I had the strawberry croissant. After all of the mouth watering pics… As well as impressive reviews… It would have been crazy not to try em. Right?! After my first I was hooked… Wow! Talk about amazing, by far the best in OC. I finally know what all the hubbub is about!

Best strawberry croissants in Orange County. The pastries are always consistent, great service a MUST try item. The croissants are flaky, crispy and delicious, just like the ones in Europe. Strawberries are fresh and tasty. Love this place, my colleagues love it as well and when I bring some to work everyone is happy.

We were already in the OC area, so I did a little Unilocaling for sweets and happened upon Cream Pan. I was concerned that this place was going to be overhyped, only to discover that this place has just the right amount of hype. These croissants are well made, flaky little bundles. They are not the buttery pastries you’ve come to expect when you think croissants. We walked in just as they put out a fresh batch. Because these pastries hail from an Asian bakery, there’s none of that over the top, artificial sweetness. The sweet level was just right, enhancing the natural flavors of the strawberries and cream filling. Delicate as these little guys are, I did not treat them as such. They yielded about three bites and I finished both before I got through my coffee. The coffee was good and surprisingly fresh, considering it’s left at a self serve counter. No refills on iced coffee. Strawberry croissants are sold individually or in 6-packs. My recommendation is that you get at least six.

Great strawberry crossaints and bread,!but far from customer centric. Came at 2PM and waited in a long line. They ran out of all the most notable pastries. Half the line walked out when told it would take an hour to make more. I also come here to occasionally buy fresh sliced bread. I got here at 3PM(they close at 7pm) once and was told to came early morning to get bread on the weekend. I really dig this place but I never know what I will find and don’t want to disappoint friends or family by bringing them here. Great only if you call a day ahead and reserve an order for pick up. Or call to ask if they have anything worth coming by for.

Cream Pan is a Japanese bakery and café located in a strip mall in Tustin. The location is not off a busy highway, and even from the street the building is rather unimpressive. Most likely, you may have driven by the place and not even know it. This bakery has been in Orange County for years. They did not always have a bakery and café, but was separated into 2 different stores, with the café under a different name and the tiny little bakery next door. Their popular croissants were so popular, people would line up early to avoid getting sold out by noon. Aside from their famous croissants, the bakery sells grab and go foods like sandwiches, bento boxes and salads. They also have fresh baked goods and loaves of their fluffy, thick sliced bread. You can also order curry and other popular Japanese dishes to dine in, or to go. However, I would say the majority of the customers come to Cream Pan for their strawberry and the strawberry-banana croissants. I have yet to find someone who has something bad to say about these heavenly bites.

Ok so this updated review is just purely based on their black sesame seed bread and the Azuki bread!!! I finally had the best Azuki bread, I was a bit skeptical about whipped cream and red bean filling combo, more of the bread ratio and its texture. They just perfected everything in a super flaky thin bread bun. It is just fully filled with fresh whipped cream and the right amount of red bean filling. I can just gobble them up endlessly. The black sesame seed bread, like any other korean or japanese bakeries, they make it good here as well, well risen though provides soft, chewy, fluffy like string cheese texture. I would definitely get in line to stock up their Azuki and a loaf of sesame seed bread!!!

My review is only for the strawberry croissants. Love, love, love! I’ve never had such a flaky croissant before and I absolutely love it! It’s a little messy to eat cause the flakes and powdered sugar get everywhere, but it’s so good! They kept well too, so you don’t have to plan on finishing them all in one day! Definitely will be back and will try other things from them too!

I bookmarked this place for their strawberry croissants, but it was a long time before I finally found myself close enough to justify a visit here! They are located in a plaza that shares a large parking lot, so parking is plentiful here. You walk in, stand in line, and spend the entire time in line debating what to order since everything looks and sounds good! Of course I had to get their famous Strawberry Croissants and I decided to try out the Strawberry & Banana Croissant as well. In addition I got their Curry Pan as well as an Azuki Cream one for my mum. The Le-Nu Iced Coffee, made with espresso and condensed milk, sounded really good so I ordered one of those as well. The line moves pretty fast and of course the pastries are already prepared for packaging. My friend and I sat at one of their tables since this was also our«lunch» and I got to try their Curry Pan. It was quite delicious. I really liked the Le-Nu Iced Coffee as well, but I finished it so quickly because the cup was mostly ice :( I tried the two croissants when I was at home, and they were both pretty good. While I love bananas, I did prefer the original Strawberry Croissant slightly more. It is the most famous one here for a reason! The staff is friendly and efficient here, and there is a decent amount of seating available inside. They have one unisex bathroom, nothing special. But if you are in the area, I recommend stopping by for some strawberry croissants. And if you are feeling like something savoury, those curry pans are pretty good too.

If you are looking for one of the best pastry shops in Orange County, you just found it. While living in Los Angeles, most of us are fully aware of another pastry shop that owns all others. Its Cuban-owned and starts with a «P». In some sense this business is like them, but slowly getting bigger. It was a co-worker who introduced me to this place and now knowing where this place is I look forward to indulging myself. Let’s grab some sweet treats at Cream Pan in Tustin. Located in Old Town Tustin in a shopping plaza on the southwest corner of El Camino Real and West 6th Street. There is plenty of parking, but you can park in Old Town and enjoy a nice stroll. On the outside, it looks like a standard restaurant. It doesn’t grab your attention right away. Then again, don’t just a book by its cover. There is a beautiful outside patio on days you just want to enjoy your meal. When you walk in, you are entering a story of SWEETTREATS! Customers are up at 6am to grab something better than donuts. Actually, Cream Pan does serve donuts, but much better versions. You’ll see glass cases of many treats from croissants to cakes. You can grab many different kinds of bread. You can get a hot dog stuffed in a brea, crispy cheese bread, or a boule Or if you are stopping by for lunch, grab a tuna/chicken/ham sandwich. One of the most popular items at Cream Pan are the Strawberry Croissants($ 1.40). We its nice flaky, crunchy, sweet, and DELICIOUS! I have only been here once and I know this is Cream Pan’s cash cow product. I mean I’ve only been here once, but tried their food twice. My co-worker brought it to work for me to try it out and I still never went here. It wasn’t until months later that I found out that it wasn’t even a mile away from where I live. I guess this place was hiding right under my nose. So, if you are having a company picnic, this is a great place to grab some sweet delights and give them to me. OK, I’ll accept being invited to your party. Unilocal…I Live, Breathe, and Share my Reviews for everyone to read. Come Join Me!

Everything is so good here! I’m not sure why the strawberry croissants get all the glory because every pastry I got was delicious. I would recommend the kinako donut(filled with creamy red bean), blueberry croissant, beef curry pan, yama bread, and any of the already prepared/grab-n-go foods(chicken katsu sandwich, egg salad sandwich, vegetable sushi). My husband and I ate everything we purchased within the day. It’s different from other Asian bakeries because the pastries here taste even lighter and less sweet(if that was possible). Even the donut didn’t weigh me down.

I can’t say much about any of the other bakery items at Cream Pan — while living locally, I only ever ate one thing, and now that I live too far for the bakery to ship this particularly delicate item up, I still pass on the firmer cakes and breads that get mailed to my local Japanese market. The crown jewel of Cream Pan is undoubtedly their strawberry croissant. Here are the best ways to maximize your croissant experience: + Go early(like…when they open, early) + Order at least 3x as many as you think you want(you’ll thank me later) + Bring boxes of them to your friends and family(brownie points all around) In short — go early, go often, be happy.

The strawberry croissants are all that and more! Upon entering, it’s a quaint little bakery and you really don’t expect much from the outside. They have a small little display with their baked goods. I also like seeing a variety of things like musubi, which was tempting to try. But I had my eyes set on the strawberry croissants, so I ordered the 6 pack($ 8.40) of them already boxed in a see-through tray. I didn’t try them until I got home an hour later. Even through the tray, I could smell the fresh strawberries fill my car of a sweet aroma –yum. With my first bite, flakes of the crispy croissant fell through, but it was a nice crunchy texture along with the creamy custard and sweet strawberries. To top off the perfect dessert, the powdered sugar was light and had a beautiful presentation. I am sure I could’ve ate all six of them in one sitting, except I was being nice and bought it for my family to try. Why do I have to be so nice for sometimes?! But real talk, these strawberry croissants are amazing and are a pure gem.

OISHII means tasty or delicious in Japanese and this certainly describes Cream Pan’s array of sweets and savories… I love this place! Tucked away in an outdoor mall in old town Tustin, Cream Pan is a cult favorite! I come for the curry pan, which I get with the beef curry but they now have chicken too. The sweet azuki bean stuffed pan is great too as is the subtle melon pan. I will also go for anything with candied chestnuts. Their cheesecakes always tempt and the Japanese wide cut bread for toast is made in the authentic style. Everything I’ve had here is amazing. They have some outdoor tables as well as inside ones. Japanese sodas and cold teas are in a case. I especially like the melon cream soda which reminds me of the green cream soda floats in Japan. The staff is super friendly and the prices are incredibly reasonable. No Tokyo or Osaka pastry prices here! I think they are so much better than those Asian chain bakeries… Cream Pan, you make my world a better place! Thank you! Domo arigato!
