When we started looking for homes in North Orange County, we didn’t realize at first how competitive the market was. We ran into quite a few tough situations where we relied completely on Erin’s advice and years of experience to guide us to the best decision.
We spent a lot of time together, sometimes looking at homes 2 or 3 times a week and we have become good friends with Erin and Jay in the process. Within only 2 months we found our first place, and we could not be happier as first time home buyers!

My aunt and uncle passed away in 2013 and I was tasked with selling the home that they lived in for the last 36 years. Tustin is not our neighborhood, so we really didn’t know who to choose to help us sell the house. My husband found Team Kociela here on Unilocal and we decided to take a chance.
Erin, Richard and Jay have been nothing less than outstanding. They had a vision for ways that we could upgrade the house and make it more appealing to buyers at a very reasonable cost. They handled all of the contractors, who did an excellent job. The house is so beautiful that I wish my aunt and uncle could have lived in it when it was in this new condition. They would have loved it. It makes me feel happy to know that the house is looking great and that a new family will soon be moving into it.
This is the first time that I’ve sold a home and Team Kociela has been patient with explaining the process. They return calls and emails very promptly and even though we are in Los Angeles, I feel that we have been very much a part of the process. a process that has been painless and easy (at least on our end, I know that Erin, Jay and Richard have been hard at work!)
The house was fixed up and on the market fast. We had several offers both during «sneak peeks» and immediately following the first open house. We accepted the offer of a nice family that came to the open house.

I began working with Team Kociela through a referral from a friend. My boyfriend and I finally decided that it was time to really be serious about buying a home. As first time buyers, we were very clueless on what to expect when purchasing a new home. We met up with Erin and Jay one afternoon and they broke down the whole process for us from start to finish. The information that they provided us armed us with the knowledge to go out and begin shopping for our new home.
Through a lot of searching and ups and downs, Team Kociela was with us the whole way. We searched for about a month, put in offers and were denied numerous times until someone finally accepted our offer.
Erin and her team were always prompt and responsive when we found something we were interested in. I love the fact that they are high tech and most communication was through email or text. It made things very easy for us. When it came time to buy, I was happy that, again, most everything was electronic. With all of our busy schedules, it was very nice to be able to just open our email and sign our documents electronically.
After 30 days of escrow, we closed and are now homeowners. With the help of Team Kociela, my boyfriend and I went from renting a room out of a house to becoming homeowners in a matter of two months. I am so amazed how fast everything happened.

Erin and Jay with First Team went above and beyond for my family. We had been looking at homes on our own and were approached by various agents, but none of them felt right. My husband and I were buying our first single family home and were very green to the whole process. Erin and Jay explained the whole process to us during our first meeting which was informative and comforting. After that first meeting we spend at least one day a week together for 7 months! They became part of our family quickly. We hit several bumps during our home search process and both Erin and Jay were quick to know when something wasn’t right so we could move on quick and painless. Anyways, after many months of hard work Erin and Jay managed to get us into the home we wanted the most! It took many offers that started in November and ended in May but they got the job done and we made great friends during the process.

I can’t say enough great things about Erin at Team Kociela. My husband and I were shopping around on our own for a few months and kept running into Erin at various open houses. At the time we had decided not to work with any particular realtor as we had experienced several who were overly enthusiastic or not interested in listening to our needs. We feel very fortunate for the chance encounters as Erin turned out to be knowledgeable, wonderful and a top-​notch realtor. She was super patient and put up with the million questions and venting from my husband. She was always easy to communicate with, responded quickly to phone calls (even ones late in the evening by my «difficult» husband), text, and emails.
Beside her professionalism, Erin was super fun to hang out with, and trips to visit homes whether we liked what we saw or not was always enjoyable. Erin stood by us every step of the way. Our home searched was over a year long, and through that time Erin guided us through several offers, helped us remain patient during negotiations and waiting through a bank short sale process that had many obstacles. But with the guidance of Erin, the end result is that we are in a home that we couldn’t be happier in. We still pinch ourselves at home wondering wow, we cannot believe how blessed we are to be in this home.
Erin is supportive and listens to what her clients are looking for. She knows the market and was helpful in strategizing and providing guidance. I would definitely recommend Erin to anyone looking for a home. I’m hoping we will not be house shopping for many, many long years but if we know who we would be calling if we need to.
