Order a Do North Pizza delivered here and enjoy great beer. They have some of the best beers in the state. The view is great. Don’t forget a growler to bring home.

Great beer in a very nice location. Must come back in summer when we can sit outside. Wish we had tried the salsa.

Love Castle Danger beer. Finally made the adventure on Black Friday. Taproom is full of sunlight, fun games, and friendly people. A kind lady recommended Connect 4 as an easy game which Rob proceeded to kick my butt at. They do have flight available. We missed this option.

Compared to the shed Castle Danger was brewing out of when I last visited them, this new taproom is like a mansion! Very well crafted and has the ‘up north’ feel to it. All logs and wooden everything! What’s not to love about grabbing a brew and relaxing in a cabin surrounding? For beer, I tried a flight to re-acquaint myself with their brews. The flight included Danger Ale, 17 – 7 Pale, Sommelier George Hunter, & the Nordic. All great beers and of course I couldn’t be satisfied with leaving empty handed. The growler-worthy of this flight was the Sommelier George Hunter. I loved the wine aged flavors imparted in it. Although now I’m craving the juniper flavors of the Nordic… time for a road trip!

Hells yea! We were so excited to finally be able to visit the new tap room. Last year their grand opening was a mere 2 days after we left town, we were so sad :(Since their old place was closed in anticipation, it’s been 2 years since we’ve been able to taste their sweet sweet brews directly from the tap. I’ll just come out and say that on our 3 day vacation camping in Gooseberry falls, we stopped here for a pint and to just hang out each day. It’s a nice tap room with plenty of tables inside and out on the patio, even an overflow type room with a 2nd bar and set of taps. With T-mobile we get no service in Two Harbors, so the free wifi is a nice bonus. They also have board games(hubs and his friend had some serious Battleship going on) My favorite beer here is the cream ale — its refreshing deliciousness is beyond what I could describe. Also special on tap was their George Hunter stout aged in red wine barrels, amazing(I of course got a mini growler of this). They are dog and dragon friendly. Our pup Guinness got a free treat and my dragon Starling was swooned over by servers/customers alike. They serve chips and salsa(I believe $ 9 for a huge bag of chips and a big thing of local salsa) but they also have menus for a bunch of local places around where you can order to go and bring back to eat. Very happy with the new location, looking forward to stopping in again and again in the years to come :)

So much fun. Went here with the boo’s family and each got a flight. Besides the porters and stouts my fave was the IPA. Another plus is the video games. We played beer monopoly and had a blast. This place is great for large groups and a very casual setting– it is the north shore after all. I love that there is a taproom in two harbors now.

I don’t even know where to begin! I’d love to pick this place up and bring it home with me. We walked in and they had live music. It wasn’t overly loud so you could still hold a conversation without screaming. It was perfect ambiance music. We bellied up to the bar and ordered a flight. Which you can choose any of the beers they offer. Every one was phenomenal! The cream stout blew my mind. It was like drinking cream soda. We decided to order another flight of different beers. Equally as delicious as our first round. The sommelier George hunter stout again mind blowing. It’s aged in red wine casks so I thought you would get a hint of red wine. No it tastes like a glass of red wine. I know what your thinking beer that tastes like wine?! Ew! Trust me try it you won’t be sorry. They do have beer that tastes like beer as well and each of them are so unique and full of flavor you can tell they love to brew beer here. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the beer. Even recommended which ones they prefer. They also offer super cute shirts for sale. also beer glasses and even treats to bring home for your pup! This will be a must every time my husband and I are in the area. We were just there yesterday and can’t wait to go back!

Yup. This place rules. Where to start? Finally, there is something in Two Harbors, MN! Beautiful, sunny taproom. They have some really fantastic beers here– they do flights and buying a glass is anywhere from $ 4-$ 6.50. They also sell growlers, with a deposit of $ 5 on the bottle and then they have some really strong beers that they sell in mason jar sizes. However many ounces that is. Anyway, those have a $ 3 deposit and I decided to keep mine because it was such a cute jar. They do tours, which are brief yet informative, come with a glass of any beer you want and cost $ 3, which they donate to a local food shelf. They also sell chips and salsa! I’m talking a huge bag of Tostitos and some local salsa. Brilliant, I say. Anyway, everyone should come here. I hope their canned beers make it down to the TC soon!

Stopped in for a quick beer on the shore. Tap room was nice, staff was nice, and beer was good too. Didn’t stay long but would go back — group commented this would be a good destination for a summer afternoon bike ride. They charge for their stickers. :(

Driving through Two Harbors on a Saturday evening it looked like nothing at all was open in this sleepy small town, so we were amazed to stumble upon this really cool brewery located on the shore of Lake Superior. The décor is very nice and modern, the music was very good(80s/indie rock), the crowd was lively and varied, and the beer was also delicious. A reason to go to Two Harbors.

We wanted to pass some time before dinner and since most shops are closed by 6pm, we headed towards Castle Danger. The nice thing about the craft beer movement is that you can find decent beer even in the smallest of towns in Minnesota. Not that Two Harbors is that small, but you know what I mean. I didn’t realize they had recently moved to Two Harbors, but it’s a good fit. The place is bright and clean, with spare but tasteful décor appropriate for a brew house. They sell some snacks — I think it was crackers or popcorn — but you can order food in. We ordered the porter, which was crazy cheap at $ 3.50 for a 12 oz. I thought it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I’m not a huge beer drinker any more. If we had brought books or a game, I think we would have stayed longer.

The Castle Danger taproom is a beautiful addition and extension of what was already awesome. The taproom is a brand new space with easy street parking and a relaxed vibe. The interior is roomy, with lots of space for parties of all sizes and enough beer to meet your needs whether you are popping in for a pint or stopping to load up on growlers. It’s clean and inviting and fits in just perfectly with the area. You can tell it’s already a go-to stop for lots of locals. As we’d expect from some of the friendliest people we know, service was top-notch of course. No food, but plenty to wet your whistle. And apparently you can order food in if you are hungry but don’t want to leave(we’d recommend nearby Do North Pizza)… If the cream ale is on tap, you can’t go wrong. And you might as well pick up a growler to take home while you are at it. Merchandise like T-shirts and hats available as well. Definitely worth the stop. Or two, depending on how long you are in the area.
