We love their barbecue especially the brisket. The staff is friendly and it’s very clean. We think they have the best barbecue in this area. Coke slaw is crisp and fresh too.

Nothing wonderful here food. I had half pound chopped brisket, beans and pecan cobbler. All real average. Would not return.

I had the ribs and they were fantastic. The staff is really friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I like that they have a drive through which makes it really convenient. Definitely a family place.

Possible card fraud happened to me. I reached out to the owner and he was completely rude about it. BBQ at Stanley’s will always be better anyways.

Rude service because we got there 20 minutes before closing. The food was good though.

Food, it’s great. My favorite chopped beef. Ribs good too. But, unless you’re looking for some Bodacious to-go, definitely go to the troup hwy location. This location is cold, lacks any character with the metal tables and concrete floor, they don’t serve bottled drinks, they don’t serve cheetos. It just lacks character and a handful of tasty food items. Go to another location.

Had the large Chopped Brisket sandwich, chips, cole slaw, and Tea. All were fine. Very clean restaurant and I kike that the kitchen is open.

Visited this Bodacious after having been away from the area for about 10 years, and was just slightly disappointed. The pork ribs were excellent(meaty and spicy), but the other chopped meats and sides were not as revelatory as I recalled them to be. Prices were significantly higher as well, putting it probably out of the range for a casual lunch. I have received packets of their rub several times as gifts, and it’s probably my favorite grill rub, so I was excited to purchase it in person. I still very much enjoyed it(it blows away BBQ restaurants in my hometown), but I thought it could be better, especially on price.

For many years, I have always anticipated stopping at one of the Bodacious BBQ restaurants along I 20. Today was the day I could satisfy my taste buds after a long period of no Badacious BBQ. Boy, was I disappointed! This was not the bbq I remembered; it was the worst I have ever eaten. The meat did not even taste like it had been smoked and the sides were thinned with the flavor disguised by black pepper. Unfortunately, this was my last stop until it improves.

not sure why there are poor reviews here, i have always received great prompt service. the chopped beef is great and no fat or veins like at Rudys. the hot links are excellent. the coleslaw is small portions and expensive, always has been, but its tastey. ribs are high $ but good flavor and cooked properly.

Went there for lunch with my husband today. We were both underwhelmed with the taste of the food, as well as the service. Employees were busy chopping meat or doing whatever they were doing in the back but nobody acted like they wanted to help us at the counter. In fact, the guy who was at the cash register when we arrived actually clocked out and left while we were standing there reading the menu. My husband ordered the ONLY non-expensive item on the menu, dollar sloppy joes — which were about what you’d expect for a buck. I ordered a chopped beef sandwich($ 6.00) & a small potato salad($ 2.00) — and I do mean small. The portion was tiny, and the potatoes were undercooked and very bland. Speaking of bland, the chopped beef was good but desperately needed salt. This was the first time I’ve ever had to add salt to a barbecue sandwich. The sauce and condiments were just okay. If I could say something positive about this restaurant, at least it appeared to be neat and clean. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with this place and do not plan to go back. We definitely did not get what we paid for.

Went here about a month after they opened this location with a coworker and neither of us were impressed. The meat didn’t have very good flavor and the food was way too expensive for what it was. I think my lunch ticket, with a drink, was $ 14 which is quite a bit more than I normally spend for lunch. Probably will not return.

If I could give 2.5 stars I would. Decent but ordinary barbecue. Nothing standout. The sauce is slightly tangy which I prefer.
