Found a fried roach in my daughters fried rice. Showed it to the manager and she said that had recently happened to her! To make it even worse most restaurants wouldn’t ask you to pay for a meal that featured fried roaches but they did. Not a chance I will ever eat in that nasty place again and come Monday I will be reporting this to the health department.

It’s really good food. I have been a customer for years upon years and it’s reliable food and friendly service. A great place for a quiet lunch or dinner and a great place to take a business contact because you can actually have a conversation and conduct business. Everything is excellent and I highly recommend the beef and broccoli.

This has been our go to Chinese restaurant for years, but something has happened. The normally delightful fried wonton was greasy and tasteless. Our server never smiled and was nonexistent after our drink order. My moo goo ghi pan was as dreary as the spring roll accompanying it. I’m so sad and pray this was a bad day. Otherwise, this is just a total disappointment.

I would give 5, but they are about to turn byob. On the other hand, since they are trying to deplete their alcohol on hand, they are very generous with it. The food is great! I ordered the general tso’s chicken and can tell it is fresh cut, breaded, and fried. It’s clean meat. No gristle and fat like the bagged precooked stuff you find elsewhere.

About the only quiet restaurant left in town, we had a family birthday dinner. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal a lot. I only wish there had been more sauce on my General Tso’s chicken. Wait staff attentive, plentiful portion sizes.

High prices small portions. I’ve been twice and both times I have been the only person in the restaurant. In most cases I enjoy the peace and quiet and prompt service, but this place is freaky fast with their service and the quality shows. I will stick to another local Chinese restaurant.

One of the few Chinese restaurants left where you order off of a menu rather than going to a buffet. The food here is always good, I can’t think of a time where I’ve gotten a bad meal. I’m sure it’s Americanized to a large degree but I’ve eaten in a number of restaurants in Chinatowns across the country and Liangs ranks with those and is definitely a cut above anything else in the area.

I moved away from Tyler years ago, but whenever I am in town, I make it a priority to visit Liang’s. They have, hands down, some of the best won ton soup in the state. It’s not greasy, very light and is a perfect starter or, if you have a cold, meal. I’ve always had a good meal there. They actually serve lemon chicken, something I have noticed that has become a rarity on Chinese menues. I have never had any complaints, except I now live too far to visit as regularly as I did.

Well, since we aren’t in the Far East, I think Liangs has very good quality«Americanized» Chinese Food. Everything seems fresh — not steam table quality like the endless buffets. I particularly love their Beef and Snow Peas, Almond Chicken, Crispy Honey Shrimp, and their Duck. Excellent Hot ‘n Sour Soup and Egg Drop Soup. Really good spring rolls. Decent bar and very attentive service every time we’ve been there. Nice atmosphere — quiet enough for conversation.

Let me start out saying I grew up in Taiwan and I lived at Shanghai and Tokyo. So I have my standards. Yes the staff is Chinese, but the food is a disgrace to oriental cuisine. I talked to our waitress who was very pleasant about the horrid and misrepresented food. She then informed me that the population here is Tyler is mainly Caucasian and most have little tolerance for authentic oriental cuisine. Well sadly I will have little tolerance for misrepresentation of Chinese food. Until people stop being ignorant and the restaurant changes their cook and menu selection. This place will almost deserve 1 star. Also the meat I ordered was dry and hard. It was horrible food.

I went to Liang’s on my lunch break today. It was not very crowded at all, unlike all the other lunch spots I’ve been to at noon. We were only given the lunch menu which did not have many options on it. I got sweet and sour combination plate and my husband got the yellow curry chicken. The sweet and sour was okay, about the same at millions of other Chinese places. I actually really enjoyed my husbands yellow curry chicken but he didn’t very much. Good eggrolls. I would like to come back to this place at dinner and give them another chance.

I’ve been eating at Liang’s Chinese Restaurant for years. The food is authentic eastern cuisine showcasing moo shi chicken, lemon chicken and Hunan scallops. Try the traditional poo poo platter for an assortment of Chinese appetizers.
