This place has amazing food! The Broccoli cheddar soup with a bread bowl is the best. But the upkeep in the place is super lacking… The bathrooms are not regularly kept up… And are broken down as well. But the tables and general Area are kept nice, though needing some sprucing up.

Hands down one of the best delis in tyler. Great service and great food. I’ve never gone in their with out feeling welcomed and you can’t beat their sweet tea.

The food was good. Loved the cheese broccoli soup and the sandwiches were good. The service was top notch, impressed for this type of restaurant. Olivia went out of her way to make our visit great.

I love Mcalisters BUT the last few salads I have gotten from there were not that great… At all! The lettuce taste dirty like it’s not washed thoroughly!

first time(probably last) to visit this establishment. counter help taking my order was good. ordered take out. when i got home, no chips. live too far away just for some chips. opened the sandwich to see it was poorly put together. taste wasn’t to sensational. there are other grills closer to me that make better tasting food. live & learn.

Gone down hill! Sadly, this McAllisters has slipped in many ways in the last year or so. Customer service is nowhere near what it used to be. There doesn’t seem to be the same amount of care being given to food prep and plating. This used to be one of our favorite places for a good, quick meal. Not so anymore.

I had to stop eating at McAlisters. My chicken sandwich was overcooked and tough for a 3rd time. Stop over cooking your chicken people! Probably cooked and refigerated then reheated in a microwave. All I know is when I cook chicken and make a sandwich it’s alot better than what I received at McAllisters.

I got the half French dip and the roast beef spud. The taste is good, but they are pretty chincy with the amount of meat, I can get more meat at Arby’s for less money. I will go back and try something else, maybe it will be better. The staff does stay on top of getting refills, so that’s plus.

I love McAllister’s! I’m always really impressed with the staff. Everyone is friendly and fun. I like quite a few things on the menu but if you like roast beef ya gotta try the big nasty. It’s awesome. The tea is pretty good too. I give them five stars. They never let me down.

Not the best place in Tyler to eat for sure. I’ve been there twice thinking the first time was a fluke and unfortunately it’s just bad. The customer service is lacking all across the board from the cashiers to the servers. I’ve emailed corporate about my experience and no reply. Disappointed.

We get the take out. Good food 75% of the time. 25% of the time, something critical is missing or forgotten. It’s apparently because they are very busy and have a policy against hiring anyone over 30. The place is like Logan’s Run. All the kids who work there are friendly and cheerful and where is the adult who is supposed to make sure you get what you actually order? Missing, that’s where. Oh well. It’s still pretty great deli food that everyone in the office agrees on. Just pity that one poor guy in every group order who(for some reason) gets a totally plain potato with nothing on it. Or a salad with no dressing of any kind.

The one thing they never manage to mess up is the grilled chicken club sandwich so I enjoyed that they still managed to well execute this dish. In terms of our side, a cup of fruit, I was very disappointed. I could get a better cup of fruit from the local preschool than this cup of canned fruit they pulled from the bottom shelf. Then again what can you expect from a food chain. On a higher note, always love their iced tea, and that is definitely one of the draws that keeps me coming back!

This place has really gone down hill over the years. The food is EXTREMELY overpriced for what you get. Almost 11 $ every time I get food and a tea for a half sandwich and a side. I like their tea but the food is always sub par.

This grilled sandwich and mashed potatoes were cold again. The tea is really inconsistent. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat.

Met friends here for lunch recently when it is most crowded, but the orders were taken quickly at the counter. They ordered salads which looked fresh and were quite large. The kids’ pizza and nachos were plain looking. I had the choose 2 combo with the ¼ muffaletta and Italian chopped salad. The muffaletta had soft bread but not enough inside. It would have been great if it was stuffed with meat and olive topping. Of course, it could have seemed bland next to the wonderful salad. It was loaded with toppings and a great balsamic vinaigrette. The only downfall was the noise level. I actually had trouble hearing my friends across the table, and we were sitting near the back. Overall, the food is great every time I visit, but the salads are the best!

I’m giving McAlister’s 4 stars for the food and the staff. All the sandwiches I’ve tried are 3 star worthy for their food and 1 extra for the nice peeps their. But the cookies, sweet tea and the potato soup are wonderful. I can make 2 meals out of there bacon spud it’s so big and on a cold day a baked potato with bacon and melted cheese and their Mac and cheese is great Too!

Always a treat when eating here. Nice staff and a decent selection of entrees for the entire family. My recommendation is to try the French dip. A family favorite.

Yum! In the summer expect this place to be taken over by Pine Cover’s hungry for great food, sweet tea, and free WiFi.

Slaving away in the hot sun and stifling humidity, my mouth waters, my stomach grumbles. I’m craving food, water, sustenance of any kind. Frozen dinner? No, too blah. Sonic? Time to take a break, I’ve had it every day for the past two weeks. Meagan’s invention? She’s not here to make it for me. Things are beginning to look bleak, hopeless. Will I starve to death out here in this red, clay dirt? Will my family mourn me forever, not getting to see me one last time? Will they feed me to the lions? Tigers? Wild hogs? Nooooooooooo. And then suddenly, in slow motion, I hear the words rolling out of the boss’ mouth, «I’ll buy lunch, and pick up whatever you guys want.» Cold sweat(to vie with the hot sweat) breaks out on my forehead, and I get chills. I can already taste the soft, fluffy bread, the crisp lettuce, smooth and creamy cheese. I can smell the thick cuts of deli meat. I can feel the sweet tea sliding down my throad, and the crisp chips crunching in my mouth. I can feel the pain as I accidentally bite my tongue(damn chips!). McAlister’s it is.
