Village Bakery

Highly recommended! I use their cookies for all of my marketing and every one loves them. Great price and great customer service!

I called and emailed the Village Bakery for pricing on a birthday cake for my moms birthday. I wanted to do a naked cake (just icing in between not on the outside). I have seen pictures of them and love the way they look. It took a couple of days for Betty to get back to me. Only to tell me that they do not make naked cakes. I asked why and she told me they are not pretty amongst other things. I’m sorry. I did not know that they have to be appealing to the baker and not the customer. They are very rude and unprofessional. I will never ever go there and I recommend no one else go to them.

We were in Tyler antiquing on a road trip and went here twice — once for dessert after eating lunch at Whole Health Store and Café, and once to restore our sugar levels after shopping at Silver Linings Antiques, both of which are across the parking lot (see separate reviews). We had an assortment of cookies, a cinnamon Danish and this wonderful pastry stuffed with cream cheese filling and topped with powdered sugar and pecans (must have weighed a half pound… added at least one pound to me!). All of it was wonderful (although I like a softer Snickerdoodle… personal preference… the honey pecan cookie made up for it). Good assortment of cookies, loaves of bread are also available and they do weddings and special orders. Staff was friendly, helpful and provided helpful descriptions of the baked items. Lots of locals who know each other were in both times we were here — always a good sign! We’ll stop in again next time we’re in town.

Brides, save your money. No one needs drama from the cake vendor. Extremely difficult, limited capabilities. Even went back on their word, changed prices. Would not ever use them. Over rated!
