First visit today was disappointing. A very loud cackling woman with a group gave me a headache. Had the narcoise salad. Very pretty display, but bland. $ 11 was outrageous. And the damn chimes at the door were unbearable. Buy a bag of spring greens, canned garbanzos, throw some green beans, olives, feta and bland olive oil on it and stay home and save some bucks. I won’t be back. Uppity Plus.

I love the food here. Saturday breakfast may be on of the best in town, especially the french toast!!! You can’t beat the local variety here.

Incredible made-from-scratch lunches, locally grown, organic, and extremely good food! New specials on the menu every day make this a never-boring spot. Kudos to the chef!

Friendly staff. Always ready to help. Yummy food. Vegan options. Unfortunately pretty pricey. I guess since it’s the only health food store around they fill obligated to rip people off and charge them extra? Not cool.

Found this gem on a road trip by looking at the Entertainment Guide that Tyler publishes that was available in the hotel lobby of the Baymont Inn where we stayed(see separate review). We added the business to Unilocal. It is in a strip center down a few doors from an antique store(also separately reviewed) and across the parking lot from the Village Bakery — also separately reviewed! You can hit all of this — antiques(and other small shop shopping), lunch, and dessert without moving the car — heckuva deal. Whole Health is a health food, etc. store — lots of quality health food and merchandise packed efficiently into a cozy space — and has a café. We had a roast beef sandwich with melted provolone on artisan bread and the Southern B.O.B.(bowl of beans) with collard greens substituted for the rice. Both of us were pleased with our meal and left feeling healthier than we should have! Service was friendly and the entire experience was relaxed and, uh, wholesome-feeling! A nice break from the burgers, chicken fried steak, Tex Mex and fried catfish that we had been eating on this 2-week road trip around Southeast and East Texas. Worth a stop-in on a road trip and we’d be back if we were local.
