Have only tried the OG which as far as I know is the only good gyro in Tyler. 80% of the time they are excellent, 20% of the time the garlic is so heavy it nearly ruins the experience.

I have eaten at many Mediterranean restaurants in my day and if there is one thing I want more than anything is for a small town business to make it. After recently making Tyler my new home and as someone who has managed restaurants and loves to eat I really wanted this place to be good. I went by a week or so before today and there was a sign that said that they were closed for a bit because they were turning over to new ownership. It had been a while and I decided to check them out with my wife. I went there and got hummus with pita chips, a gyro with fries, and my wife got the falafel wrap with salad. First off it took quite a while to get our food. I was getting pita chips and hummus for an appetizer which I figured would come out fast and first and it didn’t. When it did come it was almost too salty to eat, the chips and especially the hummus. The gyro wrap was okay but the meat wasn’t very flavorful. The pita bread that it was wrapped in was pretty good though. The falafel wasn’t very traditional but it was okay too. The fries I had were covered with a salty seasoning and my wife’s «salad» didn’t even have a dressing. The décor looked haphazard at best with scribblings all over and the chairs reminded me of something that I sat in on my first day of kindergarten. The staff were all super friendly and this operation is super small so I can only fault one person, the owner. I am not sure where the owner was and I would like to say that I would give them another chance but honestly if the food is of poor quality and the owner isn’t there to fix it I can’t see it getting any better. I’m going to give them 2 stars because the staff were SUPER friendly and helpful and some of the food was okay.

Very good good! We go here for lunch every few weeks and thoroughly enjoy it. The gyros, hummus and pita chips are all fantastic. They have IBC root beer and a punch card! Can’t go wrong.

Gyros are good(and huge) but the hummus is the best I have ever had. Coupled with fresh, hot pita chips makes for a meal in itself. Not fancy but great food.

What a joke. If you want real gyros or kabobs, try Kabob Lounge on Shiloh. This place doesn’t even have tzatziki sauce. They should change their name because this food in no way represents real Greek food.

I ordered the O.G. original gyro with beef and lamb and a side of fries. This was my first time here. The walls are covered in graffiti, but the kitchen looks pretty clean. The fries were okay. The pita was very fresh. Taste ranch — like sauce. Fresh lettuce. Meat was well seasoned and render.

Had the Hummus with pita chips and the falafel with cucumber sauce. It was really good but most importantly it was fresh. So goof

I went to eat at this place based on the reviews. Sadly, I was disappointed. Food was salty and tasted okay.

New management has somehow found a way to make this eatery worse than before. It’s dumbfounding.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for over a year and had high expectations. I’ve heard nothing but good things and the reviews on here would lead you to believe their food is good. This is NOT the case. We ordered The O.G., the Philly Cheesesteak Gyro, and an order of falafels and all three were almost inedible. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was by far the worst food I have ever consumed. The meat had a horrid consistency like soggy beef jerky, but at the same time it was super dry. It was also seasoned unevenly. Some parts were far too salty and others lacked flavor completely. The falafels were even worse. They were burned almost black, giving them a nasty bitter flavor, and they were not binded well at all. It basically disintegrated into mush when you bit into it. PLEASE save yourself some money and don’t eat here. The food is nauseating.

This kabob place is so good, if you don’t ever eat here after reading this, then I can’t take you seriously as a food reviewer. Get The O.G. if you want to start out like the Greeks. I got a mini O.G. although couldn’t tell much difference. The pita chips are real pita chips, not like Stacy’s imitation chips, and the tzatziki is awesome too. Get the kimchi fries. They are delicious!

Great food and a decent sized menu. Wish the kids menu had more options however, I mean a capri sun and prepackaged fruit cup is… well MickeyD’s has better options. Otherwise the falafel, hummus, and pita chips were great! The atmosphere was unique and the service was acceptable.

I guess being from Houston, I have high expectations for what a gyro should taste like. The meat was too thin and not flavorful, the taziki sauce was too runny, and the fries were cringe worthy salty. It was all mediocre. I wanted to pick up something quick so I came here but I’m pretty sure that I won’t be going back. Thanks but no thanks.

I love this place. Famous for their Gyroes and authentic Greek food made from family recipes and the freshest ingredients, the food here is delicious. The best surprise though is their incredible cheese burgers! By far the best in Tyler. Service is great too. They’ll learn your name, know your order and be your friend! Don’t miss this place!

It’s fine. It’s not bad, it’s just not, well, as great as everyone seems to think it is. I’ve never had anything terrible, but I have had better gyros and etc. I guess my first problem is that the food is all over-priced for what you get. My second problem is that there is not enough seating. If you have the unfortunate experience of having to sit outside during the warm season(most of the year) then you might get sunburned or otherwise be unable to sit down because the benches are so freekin’ hot! Just one last question for the establishment: why did you have a free-for-all drawing spree on your walls? Was it supposed to make the place look cool and casual? Because it didn’t work. I’m just hoping that your employees clean their hands better than they clean the tables.
