Excellent service, helpful staff Esperanza is the best! I thought about going to AT&T but U.S. Cellular had the best deal

Because negative stars are not allowed.. .. Space and time will not allow me to get into the many reasons that this company sucks. But here’s a big one: The useless come-on of the contract rebate. «Oh, yeah, no problem.» We’ll buy your contract,” they say, when the unwitting consumer has more time to go on the interminable 2 decade – oh, sorry it’s really only two years, just seems like decades – contract that cell phone companies make you buy. What they DON’T tell you is that within 30 days they need the original ending statement from your former rip-off cell phone con man.(Verizon in my case) It takes Verizon at least 20 days just to send you thins document, then you send it away with all the attendant paperwork, bringing it down to the idiots in the store with everything they demand, and, boy there’s plenty, only to be told it may take up to thirteen weeks for the check to make it back to you. No hurry, it’s only my 300 bucks. Then there’s a website where you can track the exciting developments. So mine got stamped unapproved because they said I did not have the proper paper work. BULLsh*t! I did have the proper paperwork not only filled in when I sent it, but also online before I did. I want out of they’re stupid contract out from under their greedy little corporate thumbs so badly I can taste it.

Seems like the reviewer before me had an issue with someone on the phone instead of the store. Anyhow this place is nice they have a great selection of accessories and phones. Only place I found the beats pill!

At some point, though I still could receive emails, I stopped being able to send or forward emails on my Samsung Galaxy S2. So I walked in to the brand new Ukiah U.S. Cellular store there on Airport blvd to see what was up with that. My recollection of the conversation with the service tech at the store was that there was a software upgrade /update and that might do the trick. Um. OK… I thought it was great that he was concerned about any data, photos etc that might be on the phone as the update would probably wipe all that out. I have everything backed up on the cloud so I said. lets do it. Well. emails work again, but the option to use the phone as a hotspot has been removed unless I increase my plan by $ 25/month. I dialed 611 and spoke to an associate. I asked her if not using my phone as a hotspot was stated on my contract. She replied with: «I don’t know if it was or it wasn’t». If they tape these calls. check the tape. That’s what she said. Well. If a US Cellular employee who answers customer questions all day long and who can see my entire account on their screen can’t answer that question then how am I supposed to know about this? Why would I be sold a data plan on a phone where using one of it’s built in functions would violate the carriers terms of service?
