Beautiful scenary, easy to get to, easy parking, and lots of space for ANY event. I recently went here from out of state for a wedding. Upon arriving for a 4:30 wedding, we went out back to the ceremony space to find it beautifully decorated(by the bride and her mom) and no CHAIRS! This was only about 20 mins before the event was about to start. The bride later told me that en route to the location she had to argue with the owner to get chairs put out there which were not(apparently) in her contract. I don’t really understand how you have an outdoor wedding without chairs, or at least don’t draw attention to the fact that it isn’t in your contract until 20 mins to show time! The drinks at the cash bar cocktail hour were good. However the bartender didn’t seem to know what he was doing at times. When asked what kind of Irish Whiskey he had, he showed a bottle of Kentucky’s Gentelman. And did the same thing when asked what kind of scotch he had. Basically if he didn’t have what you were looking for– he showed you this stuff. Once the open bar segment of the night started, the drinks got substantially weaker. Also the«champagne toast» was more like a watered down sparkling cider. My boyfriend ordered a draft beer at one point, and not only did the bartender forget about him, when he got back to his seat, he realized there was crap floating in his brew. The food was ok… over all I think it was just plain. Nothing really wow-ed me except the scenery and the decorations(which the bride had made herself). Over all, I think there are plenty of other places in the Up-State NY area to have a scenic wedding.

Went for easter brunch buffet… got to say it was the worst meal i had in a while. salt salt salt! thats all you could taste. the salad bar was lacking and i tried a sample of everything they had and not one thing i would say was eatable. and everything had fake crab(YULK) the desserts was stale and dry and the frosting on the cakes was nothing but sugar fluff! The place over all looks like it’s still in a bad 80“s b movie fake flowers and all.

This was an interesting wedding venue, with some real flaws, but I think it had some great points too. Food: mixed. My steak at dinner was tough as leather, but the appetizers were plentiful and yummy… I have had better wedding food. Bars: efficient. Setting: odd. Pre-ceremony part was a bit awkward. It felt like we were relegated to a small area around the bar. Not being drinkers, we figured we’d go in and take a seat for the ceremony, so we ventured into the next room. It was a circular room with a large dance floor in the center, with about 20 seats set up facing the alter area. Since there were wayyy more than 20 people there, we weren’t sure exactly what to do. One of the groomsmen mentioned that the seats were for the family, and everyone else was to stand on the outside of the dance floor, which was elevated and already set for dinner. It was difficult for some people to see this way, which was disappointing. It was a strange experience. Cocktail hour was good food-wise, but you had a choice of small tables in a bright room that seemed to be decorated for a different wedding, or crowding around the bar, which was really dark. The party itself was good though. It was great for everyone to have easy access to the dance floor and the bar, and there was a large patio outback for socializing and smokers(it was a big cigar-smoking group). La Mirage was easy to get to and had easy parking. The servers were quite good as well.

Went with my girlfriend to a wedding that was catered by here. Place was ok. Looks rundown from the outside. The room for the wedding ceremony was a round room that while distinct and unique, did not really work out very well due to flawed execution. The catering was ok. The finger food during cocktail hour was better than the dinner that was served. The dinner was ok but not as advertised. I got the Chicken marsala which wasn’t Marsala at all. More like a cheap francese than anything else. The mashed potatoes were pretty good although they put too many potato skins in the potatoes. it’s as if they were too lazy to peel them and do it right. They put WAYTOOMUCHPEPPER in the food. Ironically, the vegetables were the best part of the dish Many of the waitresses looked like day laborers who just came over the border. Didn’t speak English and appeared clueless on any forms of social interaction. In closing, When you go to the boondocks for a wedding, you get boondocks service. Enough said!
