I just love this little restaurant! It is always buzzing with locals which is always a great sign that it is a great place to eat… I love the pizza here especially the crust! Everything is always fresh and homemade. The service is always friendly and accommodating! Never had a bad experience here. Prices are reasonable too!:) I love it!!!

Staff always friendly, mushroom and hamburger pizza is to die for and their Panninis are excellent. No frills local pizza place that has excellent food. Cakes and Cones is right next door for dessert too! I believe Friendlys Pizza delivers during the summer as well — good times!

This is the closest I can find to the pizza place I grew up with! It’s a small Greek style pizza Resteraunt and it is very consistently good. The portion sizes are very large and it all tastes so good. The pizza is great and I love the fried ravioli! The wait staff are definitely friendly, but don’t sit down if you are in a rush because they are a little on the slow side.

Stopped in while in the neighborhood for a doctor’s appt. The waitress was awesome, gave suggestions with the menu and was quick with refilling my drink. Interior is very clean and decorated much nicer than I would expect from a local pizza place. Food was also great, good quality Greek style pizza place!

Found this place on a visit to CT to visit our hockey playing son. So glad we stopped. Service was true to the business name, super friendly! The pizza was delicious. Greek style crust apparently means thin crust. We had Italian Sausage, sautéed peppers and onions. Tasty!

Honestly I love most of the food here. The Margarita pizza both white & red are awesome. Jay loves all of the panini’s especially the meatball, it is out of this world. It’s worth the visit and don’t go with the usual standby’s go with the unusual you won’t be disappointed! I forgot they need a bigger wine list no Chanti, no Pinot Grigio WTH? That is my only complaint!

poor service, very expressive for what you received. Salads not included with entrees, bread seemed like frozen rolls you can get from the grocery store and came half baked. Rest rooms not monitored for supplies… NO hand soap available, same room used by employees, HOWARETHEYWASHINGTHEIRHANDS? Staff unfazed when made aware!

Friendly? Absolutely! But that’s about it. The place was packed by the time we havd left, about 6pm on Saturday and I couldn’t figure out what the draw was. But I guess being in the middle of nowhere and the only other food option is the overpriced Mohegan Sun, this must be the go to place for the locals and anyone visiting the casino. Found the prices to be rather high for what we received,. A «large» pie couldn’t have been more than 14 inches. For chicken, diced tomoatoes and cheese(no sauce) it cost over $ 19! And it wasn’t great pizza. It was ok. The crust was more of a Greek style, very airy and crisp yet thin. The cheese wasn’t browned or bubbly at all and the pizza really had no flavor even though the White pie was supposed to come with olive oil, parmesian cheese, garlic and black pepper. Didn’t taste any of those flavors at all. Another complaint is how long it took!!! When we arrived, there was only 2 other tables occupied. By the time we had received our food, the place was packed, about 45 minutes later! How does a pizza take 45 minutes to cook and the cheese isn’t even done? We won’t be back. Do yourselves a favor and drive the extra 5 minutes past the Casino as if you are heading to Foxwoods. There is a great pizza place which offers much bigger pizzas for less money for even better quality. Wish I could think of the name of it…

Friendly Pizza House and Restaurant is a small hole in the wall restaurant located about 10 minutes away from Mohegan Sun. Upon entering the restaurant it reminded me of a place that I used to frequent as a youngester — wood paneled walls and vinyl covered booths encompassed the restaurant. The menu is pretty standard boasting a variety of grinders and pizzas(Greek style) as well as several Italian Dinners choices. They also had two soups(Italian Wedding and New England Clam Chowder) to choose from. There were also several beers both on tap and in the bottle to choose from. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive and our food was brought out quickly. The employees and patrons all seemed to know each other, which I take to be a good sign. I ordered a hot turkey grinder and Mark ordered a hot roast beef grinder. Mark thought his sandwich was quite tasty — the roast beef rare and not over cooked. I can also say the same about my turkey grinder and was pleasantly surprised at the moistness of the meat. My one fault was that the bread was not memorable — it was not very hearty and did not have a good«chew» to it. We also ordered a grilled chicken salad to share. I don’t believe it was worth the $ 8.95 price tag as it only contained iceberg lettuce, 5 grape tomatoes and some cucumbers. No onions :(. I will commend them on the chicken which was moist but needed a bit more S&P. All in all a pleasant experience with solid local food at affordable prices. Next time I will have to try their pizza — which seemed to be the popular choice among all the patrons dining around us.

Born and raised in Uncasville, CT and Friendly Pizza will always be part of my memories. The establishment has had a facelift since new ownership but it is still the great little pizza and grinder joint I remember. If you’re in the area and have some time, I encourage stopping in and trying either their Hawaiian pizza or pastrami or Italian grinders(family favs). :)

I love their pizza. I’ve tried every other joint around. They all are pale in comparison. Its consistently great. Ive been going here for about 10 years and Will continue forever. Grinders are pretty solid too. I’ve only eaten in a couple of times but no complaints.

The local legend. Growing up here this is the place to go, to get your pizza’s and grinders. The best grinder, being the cheeseburger. Just give it a shot it’s amazing. Anyways it’s your normal little hole in the wall local eatery with unique locals and good food at decent prices. I do high suggest you swing in and grab some pizza on your way to Mohegan sun,

I’m a little biased… I basically grew up eating their pizzas and grinders. This is my comfort food. A great little pizza joint, low lighting, local scene — which can be hillarious, good eats. I encourage everyone to try their spaghetti pizza — specifically spaghetti and broccoli, which is my personal favorite. If you’re visiting the Mohegan Sun, and have a car, take the short drive down. Pepe’s might get the publicity, but Friendly’s will be quieter, cheaper, and — in my opinion — better.

My father lives in Oakdale, CT and almost everytime I go home we order a special pizza from Friendly’s. It’s very good for the area and cheap. If you decide to eat at Friendly’s they have cheap pitchers as well, not much of a selection but they do have Harpoon IPA.
