Beautful lounge area and they have the kind of wine I like. Now called VISTA Lounge at Wombi Rock

This is the BEST place to get a relaxing drink in the entire building IMO. It is very quiet when down stairs is super loud. If you can get a seat overlooking the down stairs you can people watch too. Their drinks are not cheap here at $ 12 for martinis. They were great pours though, filled to the very top and taste was perfect.

This is the best place to have a drink when at Mohegan. They have private nook areas that you and your significant other can share a drink and enjoy eachothers company. Plus when you look up the ceiling is set up to look like the sky.

This really cool lounge overlooks the Sky Casino. Yes, there may be a wait to get in with a stuffy door man who makes you take off your«unicorn» balloon hat(hey it was a bachlorette party!), but once in, you really are in a cool environment. I felt like I was in a Indian Tepee village, looking up at the stars on the planetarium sky. We waited for about 5 min and were told to go to the third floor. The manager said the wait time for drinks would be a bout 15 min. I think what he meant to say was the wait time between when you order drink #1 and drink #2 must be 15 min. Not a real problem as this is a place where you come to relax and enjoy a drink. Time to regroup and reorganize strategy before hitting the floor, dance or casino. Looking up at the casino sky was great. We even used our Google Sky App to see if the constellations were accurate and we were satisfied that they were. No food here and like most of Mohegan cell service is spotty so be aware. Martinis are good though! Bottoms up!

I’m not much of a gambler, but whenever I’m at Mohegan Sun, I do like to hang out at Leffingwell’s with my non-gambling friends. We affectionately nicknamed this place«Martini Mountain» because we couldn’t remember its actual name lol. While the drinks themselves may not be especially outstanding, the atmosphere definitely is. Red, plushy seats, stained-glass«rock» walls, a twinkling night sky(fake as it may be), pretty waitresses in short skirts and sky-high heels… it all adds up to the perfect end to a long night out at the casino. So the next time you catch me at Mohegan Sun for whatever reason, you’ll probably find me relaxing at Martini Mountain… umm, I mean Leffingwell’s…with an orange dreamsicle martini in one hand and a pretzel stick in the other.

Even if you are not a fan of casinos, and would prefer not to hang out in a bar(lounge), you should probably give this place a chance. The only difficulty is that finding it can be a bit of a challenge. You can see it from the casino floor, but finding your way there is not easy. There are these crazy angular pieces of glass that they call«womba rock», arranged in panels to create walls that separate little alcoves. Some of them border on claustrophobic, but they are way better than drywall, as they allow the light behind them to pass through and provide an incredible atmosphere to the place. Speaking of atmosphere, it is like you are just on the edge of the atmosphere, since you sit just below the dome of the building, which is illuminated with stars. Sweet. As to the drinks? Not bad at all, though you are in a casino, so they are not cheap. But sitting in this place under the stars and overlooking the games below? Very nice indeed.

This is one of the gems at Mohegan Sun that non-gamblers and gamblers alike will appreciate. The atmosphere and the drink quality are outstanding. The atmosphere is a multilevel bar and lounge area that has décor that is most awesome and relaxing. The bar sits under New England’s largest planetarium dome, and features red love seats, couches, and cushioned chairs on two levels, with a bar as well to sit at. The walls are«womba rock» and it all makes for an awesome area to relax with some friends and drink, while you gaze at the stars above. The drinks are outstanding. I’ve had several watermelon martinis, chocolate dream martinis, and almond joy martinis in various visits here. Service has always been friendly. It is pricey, at $ 12,95 a martini, but its worth the experience. I highly recommend Leffingwell’s, which is located in the Sky Casino near Michael Jordan’s steakhouse.

What an awesome bar to hang out with friends. It overlooks one of the many casinos at Mohegan Sun. The place has an ethereal feeling to it… with the uniquely designed walls and starry night ceiling. It’s a perfect place to hangout with friends over a Cocktail or three. Would love to come back again. Return Factor — 90%

Let me sum it up — B O R I N G. Boring vodkas, boring martinis, boring service… I LOVE a good martini, I LOVE a good vodka… Shared one, left, and went to check out the Tequila display @ SolToro, and stayed there for over 2 hours cleansing my palate from the vodka poison served at Leffingwells… PASS! Go for the tequila…

The fabulous furnishing will encourage any vacationer to lean back, relax, and enjoy the outdoors … okay … maybe not the outdoors, but definitely the sky. The planetarium ceiling is unbelievably awesome and changes from day and night throughout the evening. The drinks are average, the service is good. Just be sure the company you keep meets your ‘fun standards’. It’s the people you sit with here that makes the evening.

I gave Leffingwells another shot just this past weekend, and left crushingly disappointed again. My sister-in-law and I arrived at the bar around 2:30 on Saturday afternoon, bringing the total number of patrons up to four. Despite this it took just shy of twenty minutes to get our drinks. Seriously. Twenty minutes. Mine was quite tasty, but my sister-in-law’s banana cream pie martini tasted strongly of coconut, and not-at-all of banana. The remake, which took another five minutes, was much better. Still, we opted to head over to Lucky’s Lounge for our second drink rather than repeat the experience. Not as awful as my last experience, but still pretty bad.

Remember that show Guts on Nickelodeon and the Aggro Crag? You know, the giant mountain structure those poor kids had to climb in the smoke and darkness with rocks tumbling down on them? Well, Leffingwells is the Aggro Crag of martini bars, minus the smoke and rocks, of course. This is my favorite place to have drinks at Mohegan Sun. Unlike on the gambling floor, you do have to pay for your drinks here, and depending on what you get, they can be pricey. My Ketel One martinis were $ 15 each, but the price was not unexpected. You’re paying for atmosphere here. Who doesn’t want to relax in a plush velvety chair and drink expensive cocktails high above the masses and gaze up at the breathtaking starry sky dome? It really is a little oasis in the middle of the casino craziness.

This is the best part of Mohegan Sun. I was at the Sun for a bachelor party that included 15 participants, but I was there primarily with 3 others and we’ve dubbed ourselves«The Gentlemen.» We were there to drink martinis and just be fabulous and Leffingwells allowed us to do that. The bar/lounge is located on 2 levels atop Wombi Rock which is the stained glass mountain you see on all the commercials. You are up higher than anyone else in the casino, and because the rock surrounds you, you have no view other than the spectacular planetarium ceiling, dotted with stars. With the comfortable red leather chairs and booths, it’s not hard to feel like you’re pretty important. The website for Mohegan claims that they have 50 specialty martinis, but I only saw about 10 on the list, but the one I sampled, the French Pear was divine. Prices are steep, 12 – 15 for a martini, but it’s part of the experience, and it’s one I’d like to have again, and again and again…
