Elegant Curve Wedding & Event Planner

I’ve worked with Elegant Curve for a few events now as their DJ. Doing mobile events, the DJ tends to get the short end of the stick and many coordinators i’ve worked with are not very open to ideas to better the event and close minded. Elegant Curve is very responsive to suggestions and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Sharonda and Elegant Curve for any event big or small.

I came across Elegant Curve Wedding while looking for a wedding planner and contacted Sharonda to get more information. The first sign of trouble should have been when she took several days to respond to my inquiry. All the other planners I contacted, responded within a day. She said had just gotten engaged, so I was understanding. I ended up going with a different coordinator, but I was still interested in her rentals (charger plates) and a candy buffet. Over the next couple of weeks we talked about the specifics of what I wanted. However before signing a contract, I asked her to send me pictures of actual candy buffets she had done in the past. Sharonda emailed me several images of «her» candy buffets and of some wedding set-​ups she had done (table and floral arrangements, etc.). The pictures looked great, so I was excited to proceed and asked her to email me the contract. Instead of sending a document as all my other vendors had, she copied and pasted it into an email and some of the language wasn’t even applicable. I thought that was weird considering it’s supposed to be a legally binding document. But the reason I decided to write this review is because of what I discovered next. I was browsing online for wedding ideas and came across one of her candy buffet images. I clicked on it and it took me to a wedding blog featuring a luxury wedding in North Carolina. I then did a Google Image search of the rest of the pictures she sent me and they all came from online websites. NONE of them were the work of Elegant Curve. I was floored that Sharonda would misrepresent someone else’s work as her own. This is at best demonstrates a lack of professional but in my opinion is fraudulent behavior. A wedding is one of the most important days in a person’s life and for her to try to deceive me into doing business is just wrong. Even worse, I wrote a similar review on Wedding Wire last night to warn other brides and rather than owning up to it, she is trying to have it removed. BUYER BEWARE!

Omg we’re so pleased with the services! I recently had a babyshower 2 weeks, we’re a expecting a boy =p. and Sharonda did an awesome candy bar for us! All my guests and I loved it, everything was gone pretty much by the end of the day. She even made letter cut outs using the baby’s name to display on the table. Her decorations were goregous. the only sad thing about it was that I never got to sample anything from the table. By the time I had any real chance to get to the table all the good stuff was already gone.
She had a good variety of sweets to go around, and we didn’t have to do much as far as setting up or cleaning up, just making sure we had a table reserved for her. and she did the rest. I would definitely use her again and refer out to my family and friends!

It was a lot of fun working with Sharonda for my October ’10 wedding. She has a creative mind and a good eye for detail so she’s very good at making and putting decorations together. I appreciated her patience in listening to what I envisioned my wedding to be like, and worked around my budget to make it into a reality. When it came to stressful times before the wedding, she always remained calm and comforting. Now that I have a better idea of the ins-​and-​outs of wedding planning, with my own experience of communicating with the different vendors to the endless paperwork involved with the event, I believe being a wedding coordinator is a challenging yet rewarding role that takes years of experience to master. I think Sharonda is off to a great start!
