I tried the corn flour beef and the wheat flour beef. Both were really good but I really liked the corn flour version. I tried a few empanadas along Bergenline Ave and these were the best by far, probably because of the corn flour. If it were closer to my place, it would be my go to spot for empanadas.

This place is life. It has the best of both gastronomic worlds– they got sweet and savory empanadas… I got a couple of different empanadas. The ones I loved the most and would recommend to others are Carne Horneada(beef), Chorizo con Queso, Queso, and the Maduro Guayaba y Queso(sweet plantain, guava, and cheese). These are the ones I would re-order over and over again. I got the Habanera(roasted pork, ham, and cheese) and a Jalapeño And Cheese empanada as well. I wish I could love the Jalapeño one, but it just didn’t taste the way I would want it to be. The Dulce de Leche con Queso was good, but the cheese just overpowered the taste of the Dulce de leche. The last sweet one I got was their newest addition, the Dulce Tentacion which was pretty much bananas and Nutella. It was delicious, and would recommend it, but the guava one taste so much better. Oooh and don’t forget to get some Tres Leches too! I have to make my way back here because they have way more empanadas that I MUST try! If you need a new snack place, come here. You’ll find yourself picking out quite a selection!

Dear Empanadas X-Press Empanadas: You are a delicious wonderfulness that I will like to call savory triumphant empanadas. What other empanada place in NJ has more than 17 different flavor empanadas? I mean I’m a reborn empanada enthusiast because of you. As a struggling vegetarian searching endlessly for an empanada without carne on Bembaline, I stumbled upon confused looks when asking if empanadas came with just cheese, almost as if I had 4 heads for asking. I almost lost hope. Then you came along, because of you, I rejoice. P.S: Self proclaimed fangirl of empanada will also like to shoutout the coffee at this spot along with the sweetheart workers here. They are the bomb.

LOVE this place. BUT! They need to cut WAY back on the salt. I ordered the roast pork entrée, and the pork was REALLY salty. Love this place nonetheless.

I have been here a few times. It’s fast and delicious. Great value for your money. My family is from California and it’s had to find authentic Mexican food for a value in Mew Jersey. I wish they served other items like Tacos as well.

I’ve been looking for a good empanada spot in New Jersey and think I may have found it here. First off, they have 17 different kinds of empanadas I can eat*. That’s amazing. Secondly, the empanadas are basically free. We ordered 14 empanadas for $ 25. It didn’t take long for our order to be ready and they gave us plenty of sauces(loved the green sauce, not a fan of the Orange sauce). Also I should mention the person that took our order was so nice, despite the fact that she spoken no English and we spoke no Spanish. But what trumps all of the above is these empanadas are pretty damn tasty(listed from best to worst): Huevos Pericos(corn) — egg, tomato, scallion. Domino(corn) — black bean w/cheese. Queso(corn) Queso con Jalapeño(whole grain) — cheese and jalapeño Vegetarian(wheat flour) — sautéed onions and peppers Griega(flour) — Greek spinach Margarita(flour) — cheese basil and tomato sauce Primavera(wheat flour) — corn red pepper mushroom and cheese The last 3 are the only ones I wouldn’t order again. I can’t wait to come back and try all the other empanadas! * I eat fish, but don’t eat meat.

Ok the empanadas are good but arepas not that great. I’m hoping it was a bad day and perhaps I come back to try but till than I’m staying away. The food has changed. But of course it’s my opinion.

This place has awesome Venezuelan food. Downside is it has very limited seating options so it’s mostly take out. Good thing they deliver.

Small little place, mostly for takeout. But the empanadas are pretty phenomenal, the menu has a lot of variety of savory and sweet options, plus arepas, and other stuff I haven’t even tried yet. My favorite is def the Velenzolana which has beef, beans, and sweet plantains! Lost one star for the ordering process, which on the phone can be a little annoying. Also for larger orders you actually need to come in, rather than just calling in to order. Other than that, it’s def worth a visit for those that have not tried.
