K’fe Empanadas

Dropped by here today while on my way to the bakery next store. I saw the outside menu and was intrigued so I went inside. I saw they had sopa fabada on the menu, so I was guessing they were Spaniards, and I was right! Bergenline definitely needed a spot like this :)
Over all tasty but the empanadas I ordered were so greasy.
I ordered the empanada de queso and the empanda de chorizo. Delicious but all that oil/​grease was a no no. Although I understand that chorizo has it’s natural oils when cooked which is normal, maybe not the greatest idea for an empanada perhaps. Or maybe they could wrap them in paper before putting them in the wax baggies to soak up the oil, that could be a good idea. They have other stuff on the menu as well, daily specials, croquettas and sweets. The lady mentioned they change the specials everyday so it’s good to call in or check on facebook to see the specials of the day. She was very nice and informative. I wish I could have given more stars but as a person who has made empanadas a thousand times, I know they don’t have to come out greasy. Regardless I want to go back and try other items off the menu.

You may pass this lil spot on bergenline, but stop making that mistake. they offer various sweet and empanadas. however, if thats not your thing to eat. theres cuban sandwhiches and other sweetss.
the chocolate and plaintain emapanada & the broccoli and cheese were my two faves.
everything is reasonably priced, they take credit, and theres even combo specials.

We are experiencing an Empanada craze in this country! Olé! I’m a big fan!!! The empanadillas at K“fe are authentic Spanish tasting. I have tasted many — these are by far the closest to my mother’s. I’m also recommending a lesser known (larger size) calamari empanada So delicious –be adventurous and try it!
I can’t wait to come back and try the dessert empanada — nutella & banana .Yum! Great food !

Love this place they have the best empanadas and the shakes are to die for! My hubby specially love the home made soups AMAZING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Great services and the most delicious food unique empanadas the best must try !! Delicious chicken sandwich, piña colada cake and lemon cake unique! Eating in heaven !!!
