Microtel Inn Union City

Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! I booked through Hotwire and left 5 days early and can’t get a refund. The entire building smelled horrible, the room wasn’t clean, the sheets are stained, and there were ROACHES! That was the last straw! I will never ever return to this establishment.

I can’t even give this place 1 star. I booked this through Hotwire. I have used Hotwire a number of times. This is the first time I have ever had a room like this one was. Very dirty and disgusting the sheets was dirty and stained. The shower still had soap from someone else. DO NOT STAY HERE. –25 stars I would say.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. First, I must say that out of all the hotels I stayed at throughout my cross-​country trip, this was unimaginably the worst. I arrive at the hotel to find a seemingly pleasant front desk agent; she checked me in, told me my room number, and sent me on my way. It was all downhill from there. the man walking down the hall with a boom box on his shoulder should have been a sign but the worst came when I walked into the room. It was a «suite» with stained carpets, shoe-​prints in the bathroom, smelly, sticky counters, and worst of all, dirty bedding! It looked as if they had not been changed or were permanently stained. I called the front desk, she said she could not refund my money but could offer a different «renovated» room. She walked us to the room, opened the door, and the first thing to stand out was the fact that the curtains were moth eaten, the chaise by the window had an open gash with the stuffing sticking out, and again, the pillows were dirty, the toilet was dirty, it was an endless list of complete filth. I told her I would stay mostly because I was just so floored and didn’t know what else to do or say but after a few minutes, I just couldn’t handle it and opted to just leave. The front desk person repeated that she could not refund me because I had stayed 45 minutes and the only thing that was wrong with the room was the «curtains were torn». Even as I sit here writing this review, it angerse to know that an establishment like this is still in business. I left feeling dirty just from being there and I will take this as far as I can because conditions like this are unacceptable.

Zero stars!!! I booked a room in Union City at Microtel and when I drove all the way down there they told me my room was unavailable! I spent an hour on the phone with customer service and they were unable to do anything for me except let me check in at 3 PM. This is at 6:30 AM. No one should ever stay at Microtel ever

Guess I better read more reviews before I check into an unknown hotel. My first clue should of been when the night clerk had to buzz me into the lobby at 9:00 at night. While I was checking in, she felt that the text messages she was sending was more important than this customer that is standing right in front of her.
In the room, there were stains and a funky smell everywhere. In the morning, the coffee maker had the wrong pot in it, so coffee went all over the counter. At least my wife slept better than she did the previous night, although the earplugs that I gave her May of helped out a bit too.
Will we stay here again… No…

Eek. Should’ve read reviews before I stayed here. Hotel/​motel looks okay from the outside. Once you step inside, though, you can tell the place is old and run down with minimal maintenance. It also seemed like I was the only one staying there as a guest… the other people seemed like they were living there/​extended stay.
Room was… okay. Sheets seemed okay. Towels seemed slightly suspicious (didn’t use them).
As a single female traveling alone, I felt safe-​ish enough. Hotel staff was really nice, though.
Will definitely do better research in the future…

Had a pleasant overnight stay here.
As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here on the second floor with their lock set up.
Both the room and restroom are well maintained and cleaned. Sure, everything is dated, bit it’s all functional.
My only two issues are the VERY THIN walls and the jerky elevator. I could hear my neighbor’s television loud and clear, as well as people outside in the parking lot having a conversation.
The elevator works, quite slowly, and the ride is choppy. It’s kind of nitpicky, but with my bad knee it made for an uncomfortable ride.
I would definitely consider staying here again for the price, security, and convenience of this location.

Funny I already did a review of ths property and it disappeared. Had no reservation so I went somewhere else then charged my credit card. Still fighting to get it.back. .never got anything back was a complete loss… stay else where… cheats and liars.

Horrible customer service, horrible room, no housecleaning and they give you a hard time when you want to use their dingy sandpaper towels where we has to go to Walmart to buy towels because they claim the guests lie when they request extra towels.
