Place is good. It could get crowded during the weekend nights. Drinks are alright, but there are definitely better ones out there!

Union City’s ShareTea is probably one of the few ShareTeas that actually serve you quality drinks. Although it does not totally match up to the SF and Berkeley locations, their drinks here are definitely great compared to SJ and San Leandro. I have been here many times, so I think it’s time to write a review! –I usually get strawberry black tea creama with lychee jelly 50% sweet and less ice. You can actually taste the strawberry here, and it’s not too crazy sweet or too plain tasting. –My other go to drinks are mango green tea creama with lychee jelly 50% sweet and less ice, oolong milk tea with large pearls, and Okinawa with grass jelly or sometimes with pearls 80% sweet and less ice. The employees here are also extremely friendly and have great customer service! So that makes your experience here even better! However, I recommend coming here earlier in the day because it does get busy when the high school students get out of school and at night on weekends!

Unattentive; staff didn’t seem friendly and looked annoyed. Boba drinks were too sweet and too much ice. They didn’t even ask us how we wanted our drinks. The San Leandro Sharetea is better.

Just recently discovered this place and have been going here more than my usual Tapioca Express right across the street from here. I had the cookies and cream/Oreo milk tea and it was OK in my opinion. But they bounced back with my go-to mango crema milk tea! Mmmmmm! Their taro milk is also good. #BobaIsLife

What happened to my Okinawan? I don’t know if they altered the amounts of milk and tea. Or maybe the small pearls taste different now. I looove this tea and it’s all I get. But it tasted like it had an extra flavor– almond or coconut. The lady said there wasn’t anything extra in it and she added water. But it just didn’t taste good. I will try it again and hopefully that flavor isn’t a permanent thing. The shop itself is ok, but down to 3 stars for the funny flavor. *Another note, my husband tried to have them re-make the drink. She said she could only add water to help the taste. But if she made another drink she would have to charge us again. For being decently frequent customers and choosing share tea above other similar vendors in the area, it was really disappointing that she couldn’t re-make the drink as a courtesy.

Should be renamed HAVEMYtea. People are probably going to disagree with my review, but I don’t know what it is… I just can’t see what the hype and rave reviews are about… I gave it 3 tries: 1.) I came here my first time with my sister and we both ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea(the drink we always order when we first try a new spot), didn’t like it because it was way too sweet(even though I asked for it 30% sweet) and SUPER bland. My sister got hers regular sweet(because she loves her tea sweet) but hers was bland too – it literally tasted like sweet milk. Umm where’s the tea? My sister threw hers away after 4 – 5 sips. 2.) I read all the raving reviews and figured I must have ordered the wrong drink or came on an off day so I got the oh so popular: Okinawa Milk Tea, again 30% sweet. This one was a little better, but noting spectacular. Again, super sweet, and pretty bland with little to no tea flavor. People are going to hate me for saying this but it tastes like something on the same level as Quickly’s… 3.) 3rd times a charm right? Wrong! I gave the Okinawa Milk Tea another try, but this time asked for more tea than milk hoping to finally get that prominent tea flavor that I enjoy in my drinks. ERRRRRRRRRRR… Sharetea, 3 strikes and you’re out in my books. Not only that but your drinks are expensive AND you need to buy 12 to get 1 free?! Go to Tea Six or Mr. Green Bubble if you’re in the area and craving some bobz! +1 star for the friendly employees.

Considering how I’ve been on and off Unilocal duke/duchess-ing this place, I think I should update my review from ~1.5 years ago. Among the multiple places you can get boba from at the Decoto intersection, Sharetea reigns supreme. I will get boba elsewhere if I want something that tastes different from Sharetea(because, you know, each store has their particular taste regardless of the item you order). My family and I go to Sharetea often not only because it’s decent but also because it’s not far from home. We’re lazy. DRINKS: We really only get the milk tea or crema drinks. – Flavors: I’m boring and tend to stick with the black/Jasmine/oolong/high mountain milk tea. Occasionally their Jasmine milk tea can be a bit watery but that doesn’t stop me from ordering it again. Roasted oolong or wintermelon tea crema are both delicious at 50% or 30% sweet. Okinawa and Hokkaido milk teas aren’t for me, maybe because I think they’re too sweet. Taro milk tea is awful at 50% sweet or less. Fruity milk teas aren’t my thing. – The result of being frequent flyers:(a) we’ve gone from getting our drinks 100% sweet to 30% and(b) instead of me getting boba, I get coffee or lychee jelly. – UPDATE01÷24÷16: I am DEEPLYSADDENED that this place now has small, cubed coffee jelly instead of the old kind that was the size of lychee jelly. That is NOT the bizz nizz because the texture is not what I like. Outrage… The wait hasn’t been bad recently, regardless of the time of day. THEYTAKEAMERICANEXPRESS(and other credit cards)… with no minimum purchase! Considering how many boba places are like«cash only» or «minimum purchase $ 5 for credit card,» Thank you Sharetea for accepting cards. I wish the seating was more comfortable but oh well.

I’ve only ordered their Classic Black Milk Tea, so I can only speak for this drink. I think it’s definitely a staple«go to» drink in my opinion. It is delicious, creamy and rich and their boba balls are chewy and bouncy. It wasn’t too sweet or watered down, unlike other boba places.

I got the Classic Pearl Milk tea(50% sweet, half ice) and my girlfriend got the matcha red bean milk tea(50% sweet, half ice) and her friend got the Hot Classic Pearl Milk Tea. Next time I would order 30% sweet. The boba was a good chewy and the tea was a great balance of tea and milk. I think it was more tea than milk. This was on the expensive side for bubble tea.

First time I came here with friends after a long bike ride. I wanted something refreshing sans the milk and black tea, so the Kiwi Tea caught my eye. I assumed it would be a fruit tea(like herbal tea) so I ordered it at 30% sweet and 50% ice with no ice jelly and HOLYCRAP it was still way too sweet! It was like drinking straight up sugar water. When I stepped outside I noticed the advert for the Kiwi Tea and what they put in it — kiwi jam, fructose(aka more sugar), orange juice, and probably more sugar syrup. I think you can order this at 0% sweet and not have to worry about it coming out plain. Needless to say, I couldn’t finish it. I decided to give ShareTea another try and order their Taro Fresh Milk with 30% sugar and 50% ice. I really enjoyed this drink and thought the addition of the fresh taro really lent itself to the overall quality of the drink. It is refreshing without being too heavy. 10⁄10 would drink again.

Ever since I moved out of Berkeley, I’ve been deprived of good milk tea. When I visited my extended family, I was super excited to visit this place because the Sharetea in Berkeley is . I ordered my usual – high mountain green tea, less ice, 50% sweetness, and tiny boba. However, I was a bit disappointed, as the drink was milky and watery, and lacked the tea flavor that I enjoy so much. The tapioca balls were also flavorless, and it felt like I was chewing a never-ending pile of tasteless balls. Overall, this place is pretty good, but pales in comparison to Berkeley’s Sharetea.

Really love their check-in(free toppings; I always get mixed pearls) and the fact that they use an online cell phone system as opposed to «stamp cards» for getting a free milk tea after 12 milk teas. However, I wish that it wasn’t 12 milk teas but instead after you buy 10 as it is with every other milk tea store that I’ve been to. I always get their oolong milk tea with 30% sugar and mixed pearls. Also, I love the people who work here at Sharetea. They are nice and friendly, and all are typically local Asian Americans. And I really feel at home going to this store. Recommendation? Reward your loyal customers more, and I’ll come even more often! The free toppings and online cell phone system is the only reason why I’ve checked into this place 15TIMES already in these last few months. Otherwise, I probably would’ve only come maybe 1 – 3 times.

There’s something about being offered so many different choices that really intrigues me, but also scares me at the same time. I love having so many choices, but let’s be real. having so much to choose from confuses the hell out of me. 80% 100% sweetness, egg pudding, foam milk, popping pearls, fresh milk vs. creamer, what does this all mean? That being said, that’s how I feel about Sharetea. The menu is expansive. You literally build your own drink down to how sweet you’d like it, but my personal savior was their«Top 10» menu, their Top 10 most ordered drinks. My daughter pointed out two posters hung up on the outside featuring the taro milk egg pudding drink and the cocoa creama. They both sounded appealing to us, so that’s what we ordered(originally). When the cashier started shooting off all these different options to me, however, that’s where she lost me. I love taro milk teas, but what’s all the hubbub with choosing fresh milk over creamer, and how much tea is actually in this drink? Also, for the sake of my 8 year old, I had to ask if there was caffeine in the cocoa creama(you would think there would be caffeine, but there was none at all). To make things simple, I ordered the taro milk tea with no toppings and 100% sweetness and the drink came out just fine. I would have liked it to be a little sweeter, but it was all good, at least I know for next time. This is an easy spot to get to and to find off Alvarado-Niles, and, yes, despite all my confusion, I’ll be coming back again. Maybe this time I’ll even try the taro milk with egg pudding. P. S. The cocoa creama is superb. It’s like really creamy chocolate milk. I’ll have to try that with egg pudding, too! The –1 star is honestly just for the menu being so confusing, and the vagueness behind what«100% sweet» and«foam milk,» etc. really taste like. Perhaps a way to see or sample these without being so rushed would help? Otherwise, great job Sharetea! Love the location, drinks, and the staff is super friendly.

This location definitely does not match the quality of the Berkeley location. Was disappointed with the Strawberry Lychee de coco drink that I ordered here. Didn’t taste that great sadly :/had high hopes for the location in Union City. I would return once more to give it another try but might just stick with Tea Six from now on.

I LOVETHEOKINAWA(brown sugar) with ice cream and pearl. I don’t know what it is, but it’s the tastiest boba drink I’ve ever had. I haven’t tried any other flavor just because the Okinawa is just IT. Usually, when I go to other boba places, I either order thai tea, taro, or regular milk tea, but the Okinawa with ice cream at Sharetea just blew everything away. I’ve seen other reviews where people were saying that they put a lot of ice, but I think they’ve seen the Unilocal reviews and they cut down on the ice. Lol. They have a lot of different flavors here so if you LOVE boba, this place is a must try.

Sharetea is my boba home away from Purple Kow. When Sharetea opened, I was here almost every 2 – 3 days! I think I almost tried every drink offered, lol. But it’s a great boba place in Union City. There are teas, cremas, blended drinks & hot drinks. It has different types of toppings: ice cream, jelly, boba, pudding, etc. they also have a top 10 menu for those that don’t know what to order or know what the popular drinks are. You can adjust your sweetness & also, ice level. While waiting for your drinks, the game is always on(whether it be baseball, basketball or football) & there are also board games. Some tables to sit & chat & a row of chairs for waiting. Also, this place uses five stars instead of a loyalty card which makes it easier to keep track of how many drinks you have. At Sharetea, I have three regular orders: 1. Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea 2. Taro blended with fresh milk & pudding 3. Strawberry blended with lychee jelly I love that for the blended drinks, there’s no obnoxious block of ice & it’s easy to drink through a straw. Also, some blended drinks have ice cream blended in with it! When I want more jelly, I usually add QQ jelly with no red bean. That usually gets my taste buds satisfied!

As an East Bay native, I understand that the amount of quality milk tea/boba establishments are slim for the picking, so the opening of this Sharetea location way back when felt like a godsend! I want to love and rave about Union City’s location, but I’m on the fence for my feelings for this location. Whenever I am home from the holidays(since I have went away for college), I have made frequent visits to Sharetea and do feel that if you’re in the 510 and have a need for a fixin’ of boba, you should definitely stop by. However, service is very hit-or-miss. Sometimes I am greeted with staff that are super friendly, genuine, and I receive«service with a smile!» However, there have also been times where you could tell that the cashiers/staff did not want to be there and didn’t send friendly vibes my way. No smiles. Just blank stares and monotone answers to my questions with one word answers. Just wonderful.(Do you hear my sarcasm?) Though I do agree that Sharetea has a pretty good selection of drinks and this is partly due to the fact that they have a VARIETY to choose from. I’ve had the Okinawa Milk Tea, which may be stronger than what you’re used to but I think that’s what makes it delicious. It’s creamy and you can taste the tea in the beverage. I also had the ice cream milk tea, which was good too! It was different because I would have never though of adding ice cream to my milk tea, but you know what? It just works! I also have tried the Guava milk tea, but I would steer clear. During my last visit, this was a newer option so I decided to throw caution to the wind and try something new. Land of regrets. It was way sweeter than I anticipated and you could taste just how artificial the flavors were. I love guava and I love milk tea, but this combination just didn’t work or wasn’t done to my liking. Parking isn’t too shabby as there is a small lot right in front of this location. There’s seating inside this location, but it can be limited during peak hours since Sharetea isn’t too big itself. People also have the tendency to stay and chill with their friends because what’s cool about Sharetea is that they have various games you can stay and play as you sip on your drinks! Drinks and entertainment. Woot woot. There’s ask a bench outside that you and your friends can chill on if it’s free. Nevertheless, despite the hit or miss service I will be back. One of the better milk tea choices in the 510, but I don’t think they serve any snacks(correct me if I’m wrong).

I really like tea/milk tea with boba. I was so excited to see that this place had opened so much closer to home. Although it’s good, it just doesn’t taste as good as the original location in the peninsula(downtown San Mateo). They don’t serve snacks here– just drinks. But there’s a pizza place and convenience store in the same lot. If you’re feeling really hungry, there’s a ton of restaurants across the street where the Sheng Kee bakery and Mayflower are. The tapioca express across the street is tried and true, but is cash only unless you want to pay the $ 1.00 surcharge on your ATM card. Here, they accept credit cards!

I tried the black tea creama with tapioca. Compared to other places that serve tea with cream, this was a tad too sweet and too creamy for my liking. The tapioca was perfectly chewy. A bit sweeter than most other places. The peach black tea was also sweet. I do like the small chunks of peach fruit that was included in the drink. In summary, opt for less sweetness if that is what you prefer.

I think I can officially say that this is one of my favorite milk tea places now. To test if a milk tea place is good or not, my boyfriend and I always go for the regular milk tea. It’s a perfect amount of milk, tea, ice, boba, and sweetness. The boba is delicious. I also enjoy toppings such as grass jelly and egg pudding, which provide different textures. My other favs include: Okinawa(brown sugar) Milk Tea — It’s like regular milk tea but even sweeter for those who have a sweet tooth Mango Green Tea — Refreshing and not too heavy Ice blended taro with pudding — Perfect on a hot day QQ happy family milk tea — It has so many toppings! TIP: Get a Five Star Card for free. Buy 12 drinks and get the next free. Drinks never disappoint, service is great, games are fun. What would just be the perfect cherry on top is if they sold popcorn chicken!
