Shital Shah, DDS

Dr. Shah is a gentle, caring and very competent dentist who has offered excellent professional service every time I’ve visited. Going to the dentist is my LEAST favorite activity, but she has been kind and patient every time. Thank you, Dr. Shah, for doing such great work.

I am currently doing my Invisalign with them at a VERY affordable price. The staff is friendly and I know they have patience when I take my overly hyperactive toddler, they enjoy giving my daughter toys keeps her busy and they are so kind to her. They are wonderful Dr. Shah is attentive, Friendly, and she genuinely provides that undivided attention on her visits. Yes I have read reviews about how long they take but keep in mind it’s one dentist only and if you need to reschedule they are more than flexible to do so I have done that on last minute occasions. You really get that one on one personalized experience.

I would never recommend this to place to anyone who values their time and respect. They did not clearly communicate expectations to me during my visit and were unprofessional and combative when I brought this to their attention. This is not what I expect from a professional.
Context:
I had an appointment for 2:30 for a first time cleaning. We had to switch from our old family dentist due to issues with our insurance. I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I arrived, they had me fill out about 5 minutes of paper work. As I was finishing another patient came in who also had 2:30 appointment. I was then seated in a dental chair and waited as they brought in the other patient and proceeded to start x-​rays and cleaning his death. It seems they double booked.
I then sat there for 40 minutes waiting for someone to clean my teeth. After 40 minutes, it seemed that they were not going to clean my teeth until they had finished with the other patient. I was disappointed that they would schedule 2 people at the same time and only have one dental hygienist available.
To be clear, no one said anything to me as to why I was waiting. I just sat there. So I left because I did not get the impression that my time was not respected. I am understanding of emergencies or necessary delays when they are clearly communicated. However, I received no information as I sat there and waited.
When I inquired later about why I had to wait so long later on the phone, I was told it was because they had to verify the insurance and it was a common practice to have to wait 45 minutes for insurance authorization. That is why they claim they booked 2 people at the same time with 1 dental hygienist and bumped me. I asked if it takes that long, why it wasn’t something that was verified when I made the appointment to avoid having me unnecessarily wait? The paper work could have been handled in advance over the phone when I made the appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait for 45 minutes. As I was asking the question, I was interrupted and told that it is because they don’t do it in advance in case the patient doesn’t show to avoid unnecessary paper work. The dentist then insinuated that it was my fault for not being privy to the common practice of waiting for 45 minutes on your 1^st appointment when scheduling my day.
That being said, if they had clearly communicated to me when I arrived that it would take 45 minutes for the insurance paper work to be processed, I would have been understanding and could have ran an errand nearby while I waited. Instead they kept me waiting as I wondered why another patient who came after me was being seen 1^st.
What made it worse is they insisted the issue was me when I brought this up. Their lack of consideration for their patient and unwillingness to acknowledge it is why I wrote this review, so that others can avoid feeling the way I did today.
Response to the Doctor:
This certainly does not clarify my issue. If I have this right, you are saying that you record what time a patient sits in a chair and when they leave? Never known a dentist to do this, but seems convenient for insinuating a patient was wrong about how long they were kept waiting. Really professional.
I was not out of your office before 3:05, I wish that was the case. I was also not told why I was waiting. I am truly a bit offended that you would suggest I am a liar to invalidate my experience.
Also, you should truly think about your policy of making a patient who is on time wait because another one was 30 minutes late? Seems like a poor policy.

Had fillings done and Dr. Shah did a great job! I also had the pleasure to also meet Harmon, I hope I got your name right =), and she is very sweet and comforting as well! Novocain and I aren’t friends, but these ladies made me feel at ease. Thank you ALL very much for making me comfortable once again, and I look forward to seeing you all in a few months for my cleanings!

I was here couple days ago for the cleaning of teeth I had gum infection and very place I went all the dentist scared me to death saying all weird names of disese in front of me and gave me all high prices. Finally I found this one from some one who recommended me here and asked me to see dr shital. She got my xray done and the staff is very friendly too. Make u feel comfortable and talk to so u don get scared as I was scared to death to b honest. The lady dentist did my cleaning she was very calm while examining my mouth and made me feel comfortable saying we can get this done and u won’t even feel it. Felt better allowed her to do it. And she gave me Some shot or some thing but I did not even feel it. Very professional after half side of cleaning was done she explained how everything happend and she wrote me prescription and felt very nice. I will be going here back to get invisaline for my teeth. I’ll definitely recommend someone else too.

Last appointment doctors were arguing in their language at the front desk when I needed to schedule my child’s next cleaning. Very unprofessional & rude like if I wasn’t even standing there. When you arrive they tell you «sit down» instead of saying please have a seat. They do not greet you when you walk in. They do not have an emergency after hours number. Will look for another dentist. Office looks dirty & cluttered.

I have been going to Dr. Shital for cleanings and it is a good experience. She has good communication skills and clearly explained to me what she was going to do when she had to do a filling in one tooth. Even during the regular cleanings she patiently answers any questions that I may have. The great thing about this place is that they have appointments available on Saturdays which is what had led me to this place in the first place :-)

Nice place. Doctor is very friendly. Did X-​rays and showed me where we have the cavities. Filled them. She also did not overcharge me. Nothing was painful during the treatment. Very friendly and respectful. Also very punctual.

Let me begin this review by saying that I am super scared of dentist’s. But over the years I have managed to find good dentists who make me feel safe. My first time was a terrible experience with a doctor in Mountain View, CA. After which I did ton of research and chose my dentists. I switched from my first dentist to Dr. Divya Doshi in Sunnyvale, Ca who I should say was super good. My only complaint was with her assistant who was rude and clumsy. She poked instruments every time she worked on me.
Now coming to the point when we moved from San Jose to Fremont I had to look for a new dentist and I chose Dr. Shah as a trial. And I should say ever since I have no regrets. I plan to keep her as my family dentist for long time. My husband who is so picky likes her and now recommends her to everyone and of course so do I.
Her service is good and she never pushed us into anything. I did mention Invisalign once but I delayed it because my husband was planning to switch jobs. Now that he has his new job which still covers Dr. Shah I am super excited to try Invisalign on!
So to be short and sweet I highly recommend her to anyone.

Very pleasant experience…
I had gone to other dental offices which are known for their names and got horrible service, felt unwanted, and was ignored many times with my dozen questions. At Dr. Shah’s office it was totally a 360 degree turn, all my questions and concerns were answered with attention honesty, no pushy sales were offered what so ever!
Also being uninsured I was offered discounts to the dental treatment that was needed. Unlike other Dentist they just sit you down and start drilling away, she sat down and thoroughly explained the procedure before proceeding with her work.
I enjoyed the fact that the staff was helpful and bilingual which is always a plus!

The dentist is really bad all she cares about is making money instead of making patirmts feel comfortable. The staff is great but the doctor needs to learn how to be patient and be nicer. I am never going back to this dentist again. There are much better places to go too with much better service!

This was a very pleasant experience — I felt comfortable and welcome walking in. The office is clean and quiet, and everyone was very friendly.
I hadn’t been to a dentist in almost 4 years; my last dentist was very rough on my teeth, so I was a little nervous, but knew I was overdue for a dentist visit. Dr. Shah was very kind and listened to all of my concerns and answered my questions. I had X-​rays taken and Dr. Shah found 2 cavities — and showed me in a mirror where they were — as well as a couple of spots where the enamel had worn away. She told me step by step how she would drill and fill them in, and was able to take care of everything that same day. During the process, she asked several times if I was comfortable, and the whole procedure was almost pain-​free. Additionally, at the end of it all she explained how much insurance covered, and my portion was far less than I was expecting.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience; it’s clear Dr. Shah cares about her patients and the work she is doing. This office really goes the extra mile — I highly recommend Noble Dental Care!
