Applebee’s

My expectations are never very high of chain restaurants. I make an exception for this Applebee’s. Their burgers are always done to order. Never have I ordered medium rare and been served something overcooked.
I don’t drink alcoholic beverages so I will not comment. Their deserts always satisfy. Most of the main course entrees range from acceptable to very good.
Tonight I ordered a new menu item for take out. The order was ready when I arrived at the Curbside To Go pickup. Even in this cold weather it arrived home with me still warm. Everything mentioned in the menu was included and to proper portion.
But Applebee’s missed the mark with their Spicy Cedar Salmon. The only positive I can say is the spinach was properly cooked. On the other hand the Salmon was dry and overcooked. The potatoes were almost raw!
Now it is Saturday, the joint is jumping and Spicy Cedar Salmon is a new dish. I am inclined to cut the kitchen some slack based on years of good to excellent performance. But until I have a better Spicy Cedar Salmon all I can give is 3 stars.

Went in for half-​price appetizers after 10PM, the appetizers were decent. The wings were good, the super nachos were average (needed more toppings and more evenly distributed garnish), the shrimp was OK, the sweet potato fries were awesome! It was pretty busy, but service was still good. Not amazing, but good. They seemed to be short on glasses and getting a bit swamped behind the bar, but the bartenders were still very friendly, courteous, and attentive. I will go back for sure, just might order some different items.

How else do you describe a place where you and your colleagues go every Friday or Saturday night for half price apps after 10pm. FUN, the waiters or wateriest at the Applebee’s are very social and are very nice, and the management is ok. One of the major cons is that when you are seated it takes pretty long for your waiter or wateriest to come to you. My personal favorite meal to get their is the nacho platter and the hot wings. It is a fun place to go to for some good appetizers and watch a sporting event although management can be worked on.

What happened to this Applebee’s? I’ve been a once a week customer for over a year, but due to family emergency missed going fora couple of months. I’m a lunch client, and today I didn’t recognize anyone. The menu was so dirty, the pages were stuck together!
The new brown paper bag napkins exfoliate your face as you wipe your skin.
Chicken wings come with blue cheese, but no longer with celery. Celery!

Tried the take out a couple of times during my hiatus. Forget about trying that, it’s awful. Came after the estimate ready time, and was told the kitchen was short handed. Order hadn’t been placed yet, did I still want my order? The other time wings were packed in a card box take out box, foam and plastic dishes no longer used I guess. So the wings were falling thru the bottom of the box when I got home.
Definitely has gone down hill.

I can definitely say service has changed. … but for the good. We walked in around 11. There was no host. I figured it was already a bad start. She walked up and apologized for us waiting, explained she was the only host &she was cleaning a table. She took us to our table. Within seconds our server was there. She was very friendly & personable. I’ve been working for the past 12 days & decided to eat here it was definitely worth it. Not sure on the name of the drink my server suggest but it was delicious. It wasn’t busy she stayed in conversed with me about my shoes, I had a great time. The food was grexeat, though I only got appetizers. All in all service has definitely stepped up their game.

i went with my sis and nephew around 10ish. i had their wonton tacios which is usually wut i get now. i havent been to apple bees in forever. its not my fav but when i go i get those bad boys and i love them. my favorite thing. our waitress was super nice. crazy about so many bad reviews but i am saying how it was for us and it was fine. we went on july 4^th. who knows wut its like other nites. but i had a great time anyway.

For a Sunday night that is not busy I shouldn’t have to wait 10 minutes to be seated. There was no host up front and the waiters that passed by didn’t bother to tell the host that people were waiting to be seated. I felt stupid standing there while everyone looked at me .
Then I was seated the waiter was nice took our orders that took forever to come out for not a busy night. Food comes out I have no utensils to eat with. The food was ok not worth the price. This location used to be good, don’t know if I will come back.

Where do I start? Me and my three friends walked into this applebees at around 11pm on a Monday night so as you can guess it was pretty empty, yet the waitress decides to put 4 guys in a corner by no t. v’s. So we kindly asked to be moved to a table where t. v’s are visable. Get the menu and see that applebees removed the sliders from the appetizer menu. not happy about that at all. So that left us pretty much with the boneless wings and quesadillas options. (Waitress asked if we wanted sour cream with the quesadillas since it’s not included…) Took forever to get the food, guess they were killing and plucking the chickens feathers the whole time. When we get out food, it seemed like they got rid of the nice little baskets they had and we got out food served on what looked to be a prisoners tray. Had to ask another waitress if we could get our utensils since we didn’t in the beginning, unless it was caveman night and didn’t get the memo. Boneless wings tasted like nothing one you got passed the extremely fake sauces that make your fingers smell for days. Finished the food only bc I was starving and not bc it was good. Took forever to get our checks, guessing they ran out of paper and had to go to staples real quick. Got incorrect change back, yes it was only 7 cents but as a waitress it doesn’t matter if it’s .7 cents or .77 cents.
Safe to say applebees as a whole has lost me as a customer.

Horrible service… We went and spent 2 hours at Applebee’s not because of the long conversation but because the waiter never checked on us, never brought drinks, forks, condiments when requested, and the food took forever to come. The acknowledgement that we were even his table took 20 minutes and random servers kept helping us out since our waiter was MIA. The manager didn’t seem to care and barely apologized. What happened to your old service? The managers back in 2012 and servers were ⁵⁄₅. Now the business is just somewhere you want to stay away from

Hands down, worst experience I have ever had. The food here is unlike any Applebee’s I have ever been to previously; the mozzarella sticks were cooked JUST enough so that the cheese slid out of its’ sleeve to reveal the undercooked block, the potato twisters looked like deep-​fried potato skin (literally the skin, to potato, that is how dark they were), and the wings were lukewarm at best. The staff immediately starts shutting the place down as it draws near closing. We were handed our bill, without request, approximately 5 minutes after the cleaning crew came out, 12:11am (they close at 1 on Wednesday). I will never, even with an all-​expenses paid «all you can eat and drink» managerial bribe, come back to this location. The staff in the back started cursing at each out, very loudly, all while I was trying to hold a conversation with my fiancé after a long days work. This location should be sponsored by World Star Hip Hop, their staff and professionalism reflect just that. They’re lucky my moral standards stopped me from bailing on the tip!

Cant say much more than this is your average Applebee’s. Good for late night drinks and ½ price apps after ten. Food is nothing special but ive never had any thing bad here. Service always seems to be decent as well.

This places sucked. I had to send my drink back because it was so bad the food came out one at a time the kids food came out last and one of the kids food came out spice and was suppose to be honey BBQ.
I am writing this review still waiting for the desert we ordered over and hour ago.
Do not waist your time coming here!!!

Horrible place to eat. The service was terrible. My friend and I got sick from the oriental chicken salad and the manager was extremely rude when i called to tell him about about the food poisoning. Never going back. Any fast food place would be better than this place!

Went here again, and was surprised by the improvement of the service!
We had a nice waiter, who was courteous, patient, and attentive during our duration at the restaurant.
For the drink, I had the Crown Royal Maple Mudslide, and even though it was good, you had to really stir the drink with your straw since the ice cream was still thick inside the glass.
For the appetizer I had the mozzarella sticks, which were good as always whenever I came here.
Finally for the entrée, I had the Oriental Chicken Salad. Everything, including the dressing was tasty. This, as well as the appetizer was part of the «2 for $ 20» deal.
Overall I was much more satisfied than my previous experience here, and I hope that this kind of service continues the next time I come here.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Needless to say this is an experience easily forgotten. The food was average, only good thing was the boneless chicken wings. It took forever for us to get our drinks and for them to remove empty dishes from our table.

We took our niece and mother in law on Monday 6÷3÷13 for lunch. We should have just continued on past it and grabbed something from home depot. We were seated by a nice woman but that is where the good times ended. Our waitress took our order, wrote it down and repeated it incorrectly. Came back 10 minutes later to again, repeat the order incorrectly. We asked for a round of water with lime, and 4 non-​alcoholic drinks. She brings the water (no lime) and then 10 minutes later our beverages. I ask for the lime and she brings me a small plastic cup with 2 small pieces of lime. Two of us (me and my niece) ordered soup (mine never arrived). We ordered two appetizers (chicken taco and the assortment). When the runner brought out our appetizers, she asked if we needed a plate, cutlery or napkins (NO…WE BROUGHT OUR OWN FROM HOME… ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME). She brought them finally (our waitress was just walking around, in a frenzy). The tacos had nothing inside them, the quesodilla was also missing… well…the dilla. The spinach dip was also dry on the top and looked old. The waitress finally arrived and took the slop away after I showed her everything. She called «Rosario» and this man came over. He asked if everything was ok. and I replied «NO…we ordered our soup and mine never came out (he comes back to say that our entrees will be out in 3 minutes… and do I want my soup?) i ASKED HIM ABOUT THE APPETIZERS… HE REPLIES…“OH…YES…I SAW THAT».NO…how can you bring our entrees and soup at the same time??? I asked if the waitress was new and Rosie repied «Oh Yeah»… «OH YEAH»…THE WAITRESS IS NOT THE PROBLEM, THE KITCHEN IS NOT THE PROBLEM… ROSIE IS THE PROBLEM. HE LOOKED LIKE HE JUST DID NOT CARE OR WAS MISSING A FEW PANCAKES FROM THE SHORT STACK. That was my first time there and positively the last. This Applebees is destined to become just another vacant store front in Union. Sad.

Absolute worst Applebee’s experience in my life! My boyfriend ordered a steak and I ordered a salad with honey mustard dressing on the side. He ordered his steak medium well and it was literally raw when it came out! To make matters worse it took almost an hour to get our food and 30minutes just to get a beverage. The manager happened to walk by our table and we asked if the food was coming out soon and he stumbled over and fell! The manager was drunk. He reeked of alcohol it was disgusting! How can you run a business if you’re literally too drunk to even hold yourself up??? My honey mustard smelled like dirty feet and tasted awful! We barely ate it was so unappetizing. I felt like I was being punked. Nothing about that evening was remotely close to being good. I will never return and I doubt I’ll be visiting another Applebee’s any time soon!

Food was ok but I spent the entire meal waiting for a second drink. In fact I asked for a second drink and got the bill. I’ll never go there again.

This was some of the worst restaurant service I can ever remember getting. My food (from the 2 for $ 20 menu, so nothing special) took an hour and 20 minutes to come out, we had no silverware, our requests for plates went ignored three times… everything was terrible. My brother’s appetizer was literally thrown onto the table by another waittress racing by who never even turned to look at us or where she was tossing the food. The waiter was joking around with friends of his at another table, and when the manager finally brought my food out and I said just to get me a to-​go bag, she said sure and never returned with one. All the waiter had to say was that he was «sorry our experience wasn’t great but he did his best so…»
