Unless you’re just going for drinks, stay away! Food is generally overcooked or frozen(for some reason my parents like this place so I’ve had to go a few times). Also for the crap they serve, you’d think they’d at least have decent prices, but no. There’s nothing here you can’t get at a diner for half the price.

We enjoyed the experience. The waitress, Michelle, was warm and receptive. She was accommodating and mindful to ask if we wanted the kid’s food out with the soup. The raw oysters were fresh. We had lobster bisque and found it a bit salty. Michelle took it back and the chef made a new batch for us. The grouper special with shrimp was not only stunning but was delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent! So, despite the reviews, I was very happy with both the service and the food on this very quiet Wednesday evening!

Met a friend here for a drink recently and there was a «singer» «performing». The guy looked like a big Armenian Kenny Powers & serenaded all the old ladies. I was the youngest one in here by 20 years. The old people seemed to like the singing(he sang male & female duets by himself). The cougars were out in full force on the«dance floor». It was convenient to my friend’s place, but I won’t be back — I’ll drive further to go somewhere better.

Considered this place because it’s close to home and always advertises fresh seafood. The scallop appetizer on special tasted good, however, they were served with no sauce on two pieces of burnt toast points. Not even a garnish.(Lemon, maybe) Perhaps they don’t have produce, because my gin and tonic didn’t come with a lime either. If you’re asked soup or salad, go with the salad. The lobster bisque tasted okay but was wayyyyy thick with chunks of flour it seemed like. The service was great but I’m mainly wiring this review because my «crabmeat stuffed» shrimp were frozen(and burnt) shrimp stuffed with RICE. First time I’ve actually sent a plate back in my life. Got the ravioli instead. My boyfriend loved his pasta.

The problem with this place is that they’re stuck in a time warp. Went with a party of 25. Service was good, and they were accommodating, however, brash in their attitudes. The food was not good. The bread was delicious and it’s evident they just warm it up so I can’t even give them credit. Salad was sad. Antipasto was boring. Pasta was just okay and the entrees were sad as hell. Who puts chicken PARM with frozen veggies and a baked potato? No options. Chicken was not seasoned and the sauce was boring. Don’t waste your time. Even the sangria sucked.

If you get past the retro atmosphere, it really is a decent place to eat. The food and service were good. They had entertainment the night we went(A Saturday night), a two piece band. Certainly worth it to try.

I ate here with my friends family for his grandparents anniversary. The good was delicious and the waiter and chef were very nice. The chef came out multiple times and interacted with us. It is a good place for group dinners. We had 12 people and we ordered two appetizers and they made it large enough for us. I recommend the house specialty which is cavateli Alfredo. It has caramelized onions on too. Huge portions for a decent price. Apparently the chef is on a cooking show too.

I usually get with my friends on a Friday night for food and drinks. I usually get their wings for an appetizer and any of the steaks for entrée. I haven’t been disappointed yet. there drinks are always great.

The Chestnut Château is a great place to stop for a quick bite at the bar or for a family meal in the dining room. The staff is always friendly and the chef frequents the dining area to make sure everyone is happy with his latest work. The seafood is always fresh, the lamb dishes are amazing, and since I have started a diet they even have a great tasting grilled chicken breast meal that is seasoned perfectly that makes being on a diet not be as bad as it can be. I have been a repeat customer and even take my Mom here who is the pickiest of eaters and she loves the house special cavatelli alfredo.

The first time we went to this place, it was the Chestnut Inn and that was back in 1989. Today, we went to meet the boyfriend of our niece and have a meal together. So glad we did. We do not live in the area, but our niece and her grandmother do. First, must say that the service alone would get 5 stars. The food and ambiance grabbed a high 4. Our waiter was Peter. A very tall, professional and knowledgeable employee of this establishment. He gave us our menu’s and allowed us time to talk and review what they were serving today. The menu has a decent variety for every taste. Our meal was not rushed and he paced it perfectly. We received our appetizers, then soup and salad and then main course. We were able to eat slowly and enjoy each others company without feeling rushed through our time there. Tomorrow, I plan on calling the restaurant and giving the manager a bit of high credit for having such a well trained and professional person there for us. He really made us feel as if we were the only table in the restaurant(in actuality, he was quite busy, but it was really invisible to us). Thank you Chestnut Château for a really delightful day, delicious food and ambiance. We are sure to return.

Hosted a party at the CC and it was a a wonderful experience. From the planning stage to the very end everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to make our event special. The wait staff was very attentive to every detail as well as the hostess the evening of our party. The food was great and our guests were offered many choices. The owner was extremely accommodating and came around the entire evening to make sure things were to our liking. We would definitely host another event at the CC!

This is quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever had at an actual sit down restaurant. Seafood was overcooked and rubbery. Soup may as well have been out of a can and look I love old people, but when I’m the youngest person in the place by about 80 years something seems fishy. Waitress was nice tho :/

Visited this place with a group of friends on a Saturday night for dinner around 8pm and stayed after for drinks at the bar. When we got there the parking lot was full so we parked on a side street near by, no big deal especially since it was free parking. Walking in, the bar was relatively empty at the time but the dining room was packed — there were 5 birthday parties going on! We were seating behind a large party in a booth right next to the live entertainment — an awesome keyboard player who did lots of classics the whole night. We started the night with a bottle of wine — their wine list is pretty extensive, we selected the $ 25 red(cabernet sauvignon) and it was fantastic! For dinner we order the chicken florentine, chicken & shrimp parm, and the chicken penne — all came with soup or salad and side choices. My friends tried out the lobster bisque which came in a generous portion and was delicious, especially dipping the table bread! I went with a ceasar salad however this was considered an ‘upgrade’ and I was charged $ 2.5 more over the house salad… The entrees came out fairly quick considering how many parties were in the dining room(or maybe it was the wine that made it go by so quick!). Very sizable portions and everything superb — our party was happy & shortly after very full. I must say that the alfredo sauce on the chicken florentine was spot on perfect — not too creamy, not to thick, just right — something that a lot of places in my opinion cant find a balance of. Just wish they gave me more pasta under by chicken entrée since it was so good! We ordered dessert as well. They were out of chocolate mousse so my girlfriend resorted to the chocolate ice cream — we shared the struggle of eating it since we were both so full. The waitress was very friendly and detail oriented throughout the whole dining experience. However it would have been nice to refill our water jug. No matter, our whole experience was great — the staff, especially the hostess, was super friendly sharing a few laughs with us. The patrons were also very friendly, we sang many happy birthday songs as a whole restaraunt! After dinner was said and done we transitioned to the bar — it filled up by this point in the night around 11pm. Ordered a captain n’ coke which was weak/disappointing at $ 7.5 a glass, the amaretto sour my other order was good though(still at the same price tag as the rum drink). Overall a great experience, would come back again especially because of the friendly atmosphere and the awesome food.

This place is an easy go to for a quick drink. The food was ehh the few times we had it but drinks are pretty standard. I feel like this place needs a visit from bar rescue — we were there last night and had some drinks. There was a terrible dj on staff, sitting, playing garbage music – he played a lot of PINK which is fine but it was not adding to the vibe in any way. The staff were all hunkered down in the back corner with I guess the owner who we’ve talked to a few times when we’ve been there. He seems awesome but idk if he likes the vibe of his place or just doesn’t realize it’s kind of crappy. There was an obviously very drunk man at the bar who managed to house about 3 more beers in the time that we were there probably not the best idea. Anyway we go here because it’s across the street and we don’t have to drive but it certainly isn’t a destination. **on the plus side the staff was very nice to us and the owner sent over complimentary shots for my friends birthday…

The food is mediocre. I’ve only sat at the bar and bar seating area. It was better when there wasn’t a cover for UFC fights… I’ve gone there for both lunch and eaten apps while watching fights. Really not impressive.

Chestnut Château is a very nice place to eat, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from it’s location and exterior design — the real goods are definitely inside, so don’t be fooled. I walked in with my parents one night, and I was a little taken back by how nice the place was. Food was very good quality. Prices were a bit high, but as the saying goes«You get what you pay for.» I have only been there twice, but both times, I left satisfied with my visit and the food.
